Staying away from alcohol is beneficial for every human being. I see in old western movies that smoking was common in stadiums, restaurants and even workplaces. But today in many countries smoking is banned in public places. If people can stay away from smoking for few hours watching a football match, they can stay away from alcohol as well.
I think the problem lays with people getting promised there would be serving alcohol, but two days before the world cup, they said no, aswell as alcohol still is available if you have money/are rich. Everyone knows that alcohol is not good for your health, but it is still a part of this kinds of happenings.
Yesterday I saw a comment from someone who said he don't like Qatar world cup because it's held during winter. Does the guy don't realize that when it's winter in northern hemisphere, it's summer in southern hemisphere. Does every has to happen in how northern westerners want it to be? If it was held in summer in Qatar, people will also complain about the heat.
I agree, people will always find a way to complain. But the World Cup should never have been in Qatar in the first place. It is only because of corruption. The world cup should also always be in the summer, and out of regular football-season due to the players health and injury possibilities mid season.
Absolutely! Football is for everyone, and especially families who want to see big events like this! The problem lies in the double standard of not selling alcohol to real football supporters who want it, but only those who are wealthy. I totally agree with you !
