Big Bird and Flamingo is so brilliant. What puts it over the top for me is that there is no dialogue. Just Bird happily bouncing, and CJ just gets up, sighs, and leaves. 😂
It goes from big bird sitting next to CJ, to "my sister died of cervical cancer", "try harder", to Elmo's "wait a minute". The writing, acting, editing and music are just perfect
I want to watch this series again because the acting is so great, but after 8 years of watching a tragedy unfold day after day I don’t know if I have the grit.
There are quite a few West Wing clips that choke me up. Not all of the time, but they do. The one that always gets me is from the end of Shibboleth. "You think I'd send them back if he failed catechism?" They made it to the New World, Josh."
FYI, adults are cleared to get the HPV vaccine up to age 45. Sam Riegel of Critical Role survived tonsil cancer developed from HPV he probably got in college. His docs said it would have been prevented if the vaccine was available to him at the time. It's now one of his missions to get the word out! Call your Dr!
Lily Tomlinson hoping to see Kermit is a massive throwback that most people won’t understand. OMG genius. I’m sad for her that he wasn’t there. And a sad moment to mark the loss of Jim Henson.
Now I have to break out my complete WEST WING series on DVD and binge! Thank you! By the way---if you would like a President like Jed Bartlet, vote for Kamala Harris. Let's get someone really, really smart to continue positivity in our real West Wing!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I agree Science IS awesome. Which is why I hate people spreading mindless conspiracy theories, A couple of days ago a young man dropped dead during a run at Disney Land. He had passed out the day before while walking his dog for 20 minutes but decided he still wanted to run the next day. Although the temp went over a hundred during that day allegedly it was only in the 80s when he collapsed and died because it was early in the morning. The comments section is all full of "It was the jab they are just keeping it secret" conspiracies. We don't have the guy's medical record and I know for sure I read about similar cases before the COVID vaccine was invented. Like starting in the1970s. He might have had an arrhythmia or a million other things but no, it HAS to be the jab. Some of these people also think the earth is flat.
I can hear "It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood" echoing from above the clouds...In all the seriousness of life, a moment to smile and feel good like when we were children is The Best Medicine Ever for a person's Soul! I watched Twice for a Double Shot Of Goodness! Cheers everyone and Keep Strutting 👋
Mr. Rogers was not connected to Sesame Street. He lived in Pittsburgh, the Children’s Television Workshop (Sesame Street’s parent organization) was based in NY, NY. You should hear “It’s Not Easy Being Green”.
@@davidweihe6052 LOLOL....My kids growing up got me interested in The Whole Scene on PBS! Plus, if you remember, CJ suggested to The First Lady that she should hang out with some Muppets and that too is a whole other universe! Mr. Rodgers appreciates your monitoring! 🤣
It's bizarre that Abby seems so surprised by the fallout of her volunteer work. This is during Bartlet's second term - she should be well aware of how quickly the press would pick up on this.
No, she knew. She just didn't give a damn by this time. Jed lied to her, put her daughter in harm's way, and then hid behind his staff. That was one pissed off woman.
Still one of my favorite scenes. Elmo was the only one who could challenge Dr. Bartlet about giving up her medical licence without any malicious intent.
Fun fact: Stockard Channing has been on Sesame Street before. Just look up the "Mad Painter" series where a painter paints numbers on everything. She was in the ones for 3, 4, 7, and 11
With the greatest of respect, the fmr First Lady would have been v aware, coming from Chicago and with parents like hers, just how many more American kids can read, relate and love learning because of Street loooong before this season ever aired xx
Stockard Channing actually was on Sesame Street in the 70's. She was in several of "The Mad Painter" sketches. That was actually her television debut. Lily Tomlin also has a long history of being on Sesame Street and performing with The Muppets. She also starred, along with Dudley Moore, in the Muppets special "The Muppets Go To the Movies" where she had several "romantic" scenes with Kermit. To further digress, "The Muppets Go To the Movies" was a special hour long episode of The Muppet Show that promoted their new movie "The Great Muppet Caper" and it also served as the series finale of The Muppet Show. It ended with all the Muppets singing "We'll Meet Again". It was the last time we saw The Muppets in their "Muppet Theater" location until the 2002 Weezer music video "Keep Fishin". (We then saw them back in their theater at the end of 2002 for the TV movie "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" and the 2011 feature film "The Muppets". The special ended with a post credits scene of Lily Tomlin and Dudley Moore locked in the Muppet Theater after all the Muppets left.
I remember Lily Tomlin on ROWAN AND MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN. "Sir, we're the phone company. We don't have to care." I remember some of her stand-up comedy on HBO, too.
Sure didn't know how lucky she was. Sitting with Big Bird himself. Makes me wish I met him in person. Not only that, I wish they'd make a new movie about those guys. Kermit and his team made a whole parade of pictures. I bet people young and old would fill the whole theater to see these guys on the big screen maybe.
@@untexan I wonder where she parked the bus though...or did she let Tennelli drive it again for another one of those student conducted fieldtrips? Seriously out of all the kids she lets drive that bus...he drives it the most.
2:20 Unfortunatly, Kermit is Not Around on Sesame Street Anymore Since He Moved to The Walt Disney Company, Even Though He is Created by Jim Henson Years Ago.
Even though he made a quick cameo on Sesame Street's 50th anniversary special, I'm a little disappointed that nobody walked up to Kermit and asked, "...How's Mickey?"
I never thought I would see Sesame Street on West Wing also please tell me we have bloopers of Allison Janey and Big Bird also I wonder if the Kermit comment was a call back to Lily guest staring on the Muppet Show

It's the norm, seemingly, in real life. Traditionally, wives are subservient to their husbands. Not that it ever mattered to our First Ladies, who have opinions and jobs and lives outside of their husbands.
Big Bird and Flamingo is so brilliant. What puts it over the top for me is that there is no dialogue. Just Bird happily bouncing, and CJ just gets up, sighs, and leaves. 😂

Now THAT is an awesome cameo! Yay Big Bird! ^^
There's no way this wasn't a fun day on set.
"Mrs Dr Abby First Lady Dr" might be the most innocently delightful phrase ever said on that show, of course Elmo said it 😂
Does anybody else get choked up watching this? Didn’t know how much I needed The West Wing right now, especially this clip all about nothing.
After the last 8 years, I desperately want TWW to be reality.

Big Bird and CJ, the sequel we deserved but sadly never got!🤣

I appreciate all these season 5 clips. It's quite an overlooked season, but still plenty of gems to be found.

I love how casual Big Bird sits down next to CJ
If they thought to put Big Bird on a bench with CJ, they should have had Toby on the can next to Oscar the Grouch. 😊
That's impossible, because they're the same person.
That was the most surreal moment of the series! Never expected that crossover!

Its the mark of the bad writing. Fortunately they improved it a bit. It does setup for Sesame street though it is a nice moment in a bad season of WW

Muppets are the ultimate characters because after awhile, you forget that there’s someone operating them.
That was the magic/talent of Jim Henson and his team. They set the standard.
The weird part of being around the Muppets live is that you'll catch yourself talking to them like they're real.
They had to put Big Bird next to CJ. Tallest one on the show next to a puppet who's eight foot two.
