You guys! LOL! Captcha, two things to consider which might greatly improve your kill speed: 1- The quick builders. Quick builders have no animation and therefore can be chained one after the other as fast as you can press the buttons (or as fast as the server will register you are pressing the buttons; you know how that goes). For example, you can build the 1-2-1-2 Gambit (single target instant damage, this seems to be your favorite) by using 1 then 2 then 1 then 2 which takes about 4 seconds or you can build 1-2-1-2 by using the 1-2 fast builder then 1 then 2 which takes about 2 seconds. A better example is building the 1-2-3-1 Gambit (single target instant damage and big DOT) which again would take 4 seconds or so with the normal builders or less than 1 second by using the 1-2 fast builder followed by the 3-1 fast builder. 2- The DOT Gambits. When something is going to be defeated quickly the DOT Gambits are a waste of time. But nothing is defeated quickly at D9! So use the DOTs. The different DOTs don’t overwrite each other so you can put a lot of DOTs on a target and they will all do their damage. DOTs will do a lot more damage than using instant damage attacks repeatedly. Once you have your DOTs running THEN you can add some instant damage from Gambits in the 1-2 or 1-3 series to help finish off the enemy/enemies. Good single-target DOTs are 1-2-3, 1-2-3-1, 1-2-3-1-2 (bleeds) and 3-1, 3-1-3, 3-1-3-1, 3-1-3-1-3 (light damage) the last of which is good for normal pulls because while it doesn’t last as long as the others it does more damage per tick of its DOT. And while it’s best to avoid groups sometimes you can’t and in those cases 3-2, 3-2-3, 3-2-3-2, 3-2-3-2-3 (these only work in melee range) and 3-2-3-1 (will work as a ranged attack and has a very large radius of effect) are good to use. That last one is very fast to build with a pair of fast builders (the 3-2 followed by the 3-1), you can build and fire it off in less than a second in the middle of combat. Warden isn’t easy but it is quite effective. That video of mine included some really bad luck and of course those dang healing squares from the Eye of Sauron are no longer a thing. I rarely have the kind of trouble shown in that video anymore although of course any time I screw up and overpull, well, that’s D9 for you, isn’t it? Hehe! I know you don’t like using plugins but WardenEase2 (with my patch that adds the new Gambits introduced in 2023) will help to remind you about all the Gambits at your disposal and jog your memory if you need help remembering a Gambit build formula.
The problem with the quick builders is their cooldown. I avoided using them in gambits I might want to repeat. For the Persevere line I saved them for the longest one. I used the same DoT you did, Unerring Strike. I could have taken Bryok by pre-killing anything that might join the fight. But by then he would be far away, and I ran out of time. Warden 'Johnhammer' is now in Moria being Fearless.
