    Good on the eye wash. Last exercise we took 20% casualties due to eye injuries. Prevention is key. Make sure your dudes wear PPE.
    This bag strikes me as more of a “squad bag.” As you said it’s designed for everyone to use. You could potentially spread the load by having everyone carry their own boo boo kit. Which would free up space for the bag.
    Three things I would recommend adding to the bag. (1) Thermometer, not useful at the point of injury, we assume traumatic patients are cold. It is good for hot and cold casualties. (2) A Junctional TQ like a sam junctional. It can be used for junctional hemorrhage or as a pelvic binder. (3) PEEP valve for your BVM. Pt being bagged should be under some amount of peep. PEEP is positive end expiratory pressure. Essentially is helps keep the alveoli open and prevents atelectasis. Maybe add a mascal card and a PFC card. Ooh. Almost forgot. You can’t carry a ruck full of bangs but some caffeine pills work wonders.

      Yes the booboo kit stuff is more for the "Aiding Civilians" side of things. All of my guys carry their own first aid kits for minor injuries.

    Great video. I’ve been wanting to set up a larger bag from my overflow of trauma items I’ve been accumulating. Thanks for your efforts.

    The boo-boo pouch and the medications pouch would probably be enough for an EDC backpack, right? I won't be working on any gunshot wounds but a kid with a headache? Definitely.

    Paramedic in Ontario Canada you may want to consider adding Narcan to your kit, as well as a headlight, a headlamp for nighttime operations, and the other handy set up haemostats tweezers just enough and a good set of nail clippers and other supplies to maintain the feet and prevent blisters I would recommend eventually medical kits, dental medic as well, as well as oral rehydration salts, and a first aid reference guide

    Nice setup, you might already have some, but I'd throw some rolls of tape in there I'm always openingmy kit at work for tape. If anyone in your group is diabetic some packs of honey would be useful in the pencil case.

      Yes we have medical tape in the yellow First Aid pouch and you can find oral glucose in the medications box 👍🏼

    I have my Navy Corpsman bag that was a bit larger. I picked this one up and its a really solid bag. For somebody that doesn't need IO or intubation capability, this bag is big enough for a family, small MAG or neighbor CERT group. I found that the side pockets are great for IV bags and start kits. The organization is really good. If I think I will need to be starting a lot of IV's, I would take my corpsman bag. But this bag is great for trauma, penetrating wounds, sprains, fractures and minor airway. Good purchase for anybody that may be providing medical support for a militia or mutual assistance group or even a CERT bag. And it opens easily just by pulling the top handle. The individual bags velcro on. I have them each set up for different things (airway, major bleeding, etc.). I could hand a module to somebody assisting me with trauma care. The webbing on the front is good for securing tourniquets, too.

    Maybe some for that front zipper pouch kind of like what I use is some emesis bags and some little bio bags really honestly just Walmart Kroger bags in that case just to wear it there quick to get to, but not life necessary items

      They are already labeled and organized by category (in individuals pouches) at the very top of the bag. They will not get much easier to access.

    I'd like to know how about the carrying system of this backpack? Can you adapt to walking with heavy materials for a long time?

    • @EverydayCitizensTactical
      @EverydayCitizensTactical  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not be able to comment on this packs ability to carry “heavy weight” over distance. This pack is utilized solely as a medical bag, which in turn is not that heavy.

    How's the equality of this bag? Is it pretty rugged or is it air soft grade?

    • @EverydayCitizensTactical
      @EverydayCitizensTactical  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After looking over it quite carefully, all of the stitching appears quite well done and the pack it’s self is made out of good material. It has not got the full field testing yet through time, none the less it has done well so far.

      Needle-D is a universally ALS skill. No the action to perform it and it’s indicators you must recognize may not be difficult, but it is an advanced skill nonetheless.

    Have you had any issues with the zippers unzipping on the large compartment or do they stay still.

    • @EverydayCitizensTactical
      @EverydayCitizensTactical  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      After almost two years of having this bag, I can say that all zipper and Velcro are still in good condition and stay snug when closed.
