This is a great video. Thanks for taking the time to do it.
As a customer who ordered during a time that shipping was delayed thanks to port issues during COVID, I experienced a delay of over a month and I was beyond a jerk to Nick. I felt like a smuck when I found out the reason for the delay. Almost 2 years later I stand behind my happiness to stick it out and wait for my ZH20D. So far the only real issue I had was the ignition switch jam nut came loose. I have only used it around the homestead and have about 125 hours on it. Again my gratitude to Nick and crew for tolerating me.

I purchased a Chinese ustit and out of respect for groundhog
I won’t say the brand but I to thought it all looked good for the price and within a day I started seeing all the loose bolts and reading up a lot more and then I found out that groundhog was a place that knew what’s, whens and how’s and then I bought kh14g-2 and just the comfort of knowing that it was put together with better quality and by the way it shows ., and it was worth the extra that I payed , so i think he is doing great

I look at it this way.... The Chinese unit from alibaba is the "base" price. What's the value of the all the upgrades Nick makes? The value of that knowledge (knowing what to upgrade). The time and hassle of actually importing it also is an added value. The stateside assembly/inspection is another labor addon.
Now add all of the above together, that's what the groundhog is worth. How does that compare to the cost? To me, it's worth it.
I'll be stopping by in February. Only reason I haven't yet is the drive. 4 dealers, in 4 different directions, all 4-5 hours away. 😂😓

You are dead on with the figures on a $2500.00 unit. I bought a mini wheel loader from China for $2900.00 and it costed me $5500.00 with unit and all extra costs. It took roughly 3 months from 1st negotiation to the date of pickup. Would I do it again? Absolutely. The unit I bought MSRP was $20k here, so I save around $14k.
As far as my experience with Groundhog (Nick), in the beginning it was great. No issue with him and the customer service. Fast forward a little over a year later since his business has grown, the customer service has gone to rock bottom. I've ordered several parts, only to wait & wait & wait for the parts. After multiple phone calls asking status of my orders, multiple excuses for shipping, I get parts. They maybe right or wrong. I've had better luck searching for them online and getting parts off Ebay or Amazon. I know I'll probably get junk about this but just calling it like I see it.

Thank you for your video. All you talked about is 110% right. I like your honestly. It can go right and it can go very side way. I personally order onev3 ton excavator last July. Went to pick it up at Toronto warehouse on Oct 31st. I live in Ontario. Canada. But all the feescyou talked about with Port or gouvernement fees for inspection are the very same. I wish I knew more about excavator prior to ordered but Fortunately for me. I did pretty good for what I paid but would definitely work more with the supplier to make sure I get some stuff or upgrades I didn't pay attention to initially. Like dual speed tracking. But like I said. I wascfortunate enough that minor stuff I can deal with. But I wish I would had a real good company just like your around at the time so I can really inquired what I was buying. It is true that your price is a bit more but I can agree that your price a very decent for the service and product. Just like you said. Not much for headache free transaction. Problem is everyone try to save money with the economy we are in. If the person is knowledgeable in what they need to buy and know and not afraid to go the extra mile to be picky on parts and component. Might find decent deal. But buying from you make peoples know ahead the quality of what they are buying. And the set price .thank you again for your video and keep up your great work. I really enjoy watching all your video of new stuff you are bringing in.

Thanks for the information, I got the jest of your operation before watching this, but it was interesting how many hoops you must jump through just to have inventory. I've decided that the aging process requires an excavator, so we will be talking soon. Can't decide between a 6000 or 8000 machine at the moment.

Why are you making a video that undermines your business? You guys have high quality machines and a support network, if people want to roll the dice on a base model from China to save a few bucks let ‘em. No need to help them do it.
