I know I'm late to the party on the big pig but it looks like an awesome little unit. Just to mention though, you're using the removal tool the wrong way. You need to hold the handle upright, even slightly tiltaway from you, with the hook pointing away from you, then insert the hook the slot, tilt the tool back towards you and remove. It's a very generic tool used in lots of other BBQ's for removing cast iron cooking grates. I have three other BBQ's with the same tool and it's easy to use if you use it the right way. Cheers
I did wonder if it would work that way, only thing is that your hand would be over the hot area of the hooker in order to put the handle in the slot. ~ Ben
There some awesome expat poms in the Aussie OZpig FB group @Nifty, and one of them has done a DIY modification to include a teapot warmer. I don't think you'll have any issues! ~ Lauren
I say this based to what we use in Argentina. I like it very much but I find it very small. twice the size and we can then have a serious discussion :) lol@@SnowysOutdoors
Totally agree with you, Yeahrightomate, it would be much easier. Problem was that I think Ozpig were a little tight with their tolerances because it wouldn't fit in the hole that way, needed to take to it with a grinder to shave a mm or so off the lifter. ~ Ben
I’m banning my self from these videos, I live near the Brendale store and have a camping gear addiction. I love going to your shop and browsing.
Browsing is free, Steve! ;). I'm glad you like our store. Happy camping. ~ Ben
That looks like it's one for the wish list at Snowy's.
It's on my wish list! ~ Ben

Can you use it indoors as a wood stove
Its not a sealed unit @Howling Wind, so its for outdoor use only.
~ Lauren
@@SnowysOutdoors thank you for a reply, I thought that maybe the case it doesn't hurt to ask.
@@howlingwind1937 ofcourse!
@@SnowysOutdoors cheers!
Great review. There quite heavy but it’s very clever.
Cheers, Brad - yeh, they're a solid unit. Laine
Very nice but too small. It would e nice to see this 3 times the size or 2.5 times the size.
Wow, it's already pretty big, not sure you'd be able to easily move anything 3 times bigger. ~ Ben

You’re using that tool to pick the plates up all wrong mate, flip it up the other way!

Snowys Outdoors Right, that’s a shame hopefully ozpig address that. Love the videos though guys. 👍🏼
