    Do you have an example of where another plant is entered?

      Another plant or another specimen? Since plant is the root element, it's only possible to have one. Though one could (probably should) make a parent to plant element (say, "plants"), make that the root element, then add multiple plant (singular) elements under that. That's how I'd do it in real life.
