Make sure to have your diognastics turned on (press 2nd, 0, then scroll to D for diagnostics, then hit the diagnosticson button and then it will say done.) if you don't turn this on you will not be able to see your correlation coefficient (r) & (r^2) Great video by the way!
It's crazy how easy and clear this video is considering how my professor uses a whole class explaining this and I had absolutely no clue while this only took me 4 minutes. Thank you so much!
I can't tell you how grateful I am that you posted a video so simple and perfect! Taking statistics online with no 'one on one' classes is hard enough and this made it just a little easier
I'm in college and I am taking statistics. Sometimes my teacher goes to fast to follow all the steps. I was doing my Homework when I got stuck on this question, so this video helped me a lot. I subscribed ^_^ I like your videos, they will help me a lot this semester.
Thank you SOOOO much!! I'm in Pre-calc and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my calculator wouldn't graph it. I figured it out with your video that I needed to turn on diagnostics!! You're a life-saver!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS this video was perfect and you did everything a great math teacher should do! I wish my teacher actually explained stuff instead of giving us a worksheet and telling us to figure out regression by ourselves at home :/
I literally have my quiz tomorrow and found no any clue anywhere else about this topic and really feeling so relaxed after this video. Thank you so much and this really means a lot. Best explanation🔥
Great - I'm a maths teacher preparing for this lesson. Stat diagnostics on was precisely my problem. Note the short cut is that Stat diagnostics can be turned on via mode button (hen 2nd page)
Thank you so much for the helpful walkthrough! After every class session I always look for one of your videos to follow up so that I can better understand the material
Have you seen the new HP Prime color graphing calculator that is coming out later this year? You can find it on TH-cam. It looks like TI & Casio have some major competition against their TI Nspire CX CAS & Casio CP400.
Thanks, this was very well explained and a huge help! :) I can now relax about my assessed investigation tomorrow! I always struggle with graphics calc stuff
I did everything I even turned the diagnostics on but I keep getting something that looks like this : ERR: SYNTAX 1: QUIT 2: GOTO please help Edit: hehe never mind I forgot to put the comma” 😅
thank you so much! I had looked up other directions and they were just confusing me. I had homework due the next day at they end of the year for the last day of math and I had no idea how to do this. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I gave your video a like.
And the joke is on me. Prepared for my lesson and knew exactly what to do with both the TI84 and the Casio only to find the two students with TIs had an 83 and an old OS on an 84. I needed an urgent rush to the internet during the break to rediscover your way or turning Stats Diagnostics on.
very helpful video, loved it. just a question though. why does it give a different value for a and b when you input the lists the other way around (L2, L1)? is it due to the independence of the variable?
Thanks for the video, but when i press the LinReg(ax+b) button, I get the a and b values, but not the regression values. did I do something wrong? are my settings messed up? I did it on a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, does that make a difference?
I was just about to ask the same thing but your the man!!! How do I get the line to show up on the graph though? I have the data points but the regression line doesn't show up
I enter the information like you said to do and I get the the part where I have the LingReg (ax+b) L1L2 so on and so forth and I keep getting and Err: Syntax 1:Quit 2:Goto. I don't get anything else.
You just saved so many people's grades. Thank you dude, I'll probably be back in a week 💀
😅😅😅
omg you have no idea how grateful I feel. I literally owe you my life. I sorta wanna cry. This helped so much. Thank you!!!!!

Thank you soo much for this comment. I was sitting here wondering why I didn't the r and r squared. You saved me so much time!
Thank you so much for this comment, you saved me a lot of last min exam stress

getting ready for a vet exam and this video just saved me for chemistry kinetics... life savior!
I literally have my quiz tomorrow and found no any clue anywhere else about this topic and really feeling so relaxed after this video. Thank you so much and this really means a lot. Best explanation🔥
THIS IS THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO MY MATH GRADE!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!! My professor didn't explain this very well and I have an exam today. Perfect explanation!!
This was so helpful! Thank you for simplifying this for me!!
Thanks for this, my teacher that claims to be an expert with these calculators didn't even teach us, let alone how to do this.
Thank the Lord for ur soul, u saved my test grade
You are literally the best. I have a test tomorrow and I needed this so much. Literally an absolute W.
Literally the best tutorial I’ve ever watched.

Wow, thank you! That all seemed complicated at first, but you walked us through it quite nicely.
I don't usually comment on videos, but this was so helpful! I'll probably check out your videos first from now on. Thanks!

Thanks a ton man, i can feel my grades getting higher
this was so awesome my pre cal teacher sucks and i finally understood how to do this!!!
Using a Ti-84 Plus, I get an r value of .934. Any thoughts on why this could be?
Thank you so much, this helped me figure out a lot of things.
Thank you so much! My math teacher didn't explain this nearly as well as you did.
😩THIS WAS SOOOOO HELPFUL!!! Thank you!!🤗🤗
Thank you, i just bought a T-84 and needed help. ( switched from a casio )
Thank you so much! Diagnostics on omg, so simple. You are a life-saver!!
Thank you SOSOSOSOSOSOSO much! I am doing a Linear Regression project from my Algebra 1 class and this helped me a ton!
Have you seen the new HP Prime color graphing calculator that is coming out later this year? You can find it on TH-cam. It looks like TI & Casio have some major competition against their TI Nspire CX CAS & Casio CP400.
thanks a lot, i was kinda stuck. thanks to the video i can continue with what i'm doing
Loved the help but try getting a new camera for higher quality so I can see the calculator better
I didn't even know about the catalog thing that is tricky. Thank you so much!!
Thanks for the help, answered everything I needed to know!
Thanks! Just need to memorize these steps now and I’ll be set! 👍🏼
Thanks, this was very well explained and a huge help! :)

This is an awesome video and well explained. I forgot all of it but I got it back on 10 min. thank you....
how do i make the graph so that the line can only be in the top right quadrant? or in other words, the line is only positive
Thank you so much, spend hour just try to figure out why mine does not show reg^2.
Thanks a lot, wish my teacher explained stuff this well.
I did everything I even turned the diagnostics on but I keep getting something that looks like this :
ERR: SYNTAX
1: QUIT
2: GOTO
please help
Edit: hehe never mind I forgot to put the comma” 😅
Letticia Delgado i our a comma on mine and it’s not working 😭😭
Thank you SOOO much for posting this!! Super helpful video!!!
What would I set my Frequency to in the calculator though? Should it be List 1 or List 2?
thank you so much! I had looked up other directions and they were just confusing me. I had homework due the next day at they end of the year for the last day of math and I had no idea how to do this. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I gave your video a like.
not to mention I was a week behind on homework.
Thanks you so much I really needed to get R back in and I couldn't remember how to.
This explanation worked even though I was using an fx-9860GII, super clear and helpful, actual math teacher couldnt come close.
Hmmm, I don't have that calculator yet. Time to put in an order. :^D
Buttons obviously not the same but just actually being told where I was supposed to go was a help
very helpful video, loved it.
just a question though. why does it give a different value for a and b when you input the lists the other way around (L2, L1)? is it due to the independence of the variable?
Thank you so much for doing this video and going slowly. Just thank you very much, great video!
you saved my life!!! thank you!!
Very, very helpful video. Thank you very much
Thanks for the video, but when i press the LinReg(ax+b) button, I get the a and b values, but not the regression values. did I do something wrong? are my settings messed up? I did it on a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, does that make a difference?

I'm still here. :^D
I don't think math or TI calculators will be updated any time soon lol
hey thanks, was absent a day, now all caught up
Thank you!! This video was a BIG help!!
How would I round the R? Because it says “round correlation coefficient to the tenth or smth
Thank you! - a bachelors' student
thank you, my grades and I appreciate your video
you just saved my life
Also works for a TI-82 STATS
Good to know. Thanks! :^D
I was trying this out but couldn't get the r. I only get a and b. Do you know how i can fix this?
If you go to 3:33 in the video, he explains how to solve this problem.
My slope and y-intercept values don't seem to fit my plot very well, and I also can't get a line going through the scatter plot. Can you help me?
Thats the best math video ever thankss!!!
Thanks! you are my hero!
2:26 when I put the coma in, there is a "syntax error," this is incredibly frustrating
Thank you! You just saved me from failing my quiz tomorrow
How do i find the regresion line of x on y and use it to predict ?
Thanks you are my savior
That was great and helpful. Thanks for uploading.
I enter the information like you said to do and I get the the part where I have the LingReg (ax+b) L1L2 so on and so forth and I keep getting and Err: Syntax 1:Quit 2:Goto. I don't get anything else.
you have to put a comma between L1 and L2
This video nailed it! Where are my "r" values????? Watch video.... There they ARE!!!!!
I keep getting even numbers in the results, do I have to turn on anything so that doesn't happen?
My numbers are slightly off, how do I fix this?
Great video, very helpful!!!!
nicely done sir, nicely done
what a life saver
Thanks dude. Never covered this in class. It's straight forward and to the point!!! Thanks again.
I appreciate your job.
thank you for the help on the diagnostics on thingy :)
this was very helpful thank you
@Fluffylovesyou191
Make sure you selected diagnostic on and NOT diagnostic off.
