There is no amount of money you could pay someone for wasting years of their life sitting behind bars being wrongfully convicted of something that they did not do.
It's disgusting how peoples lives are ruined due to corruption/toxic police. Yet they have the NERVE TO GET MAD, when folks admit they DON'T FEEL SAFE. These folks should receive compensation for their time (not that it would make anything even). Also the officers should serve every year they did. This is horrible.
Maybe this has never happened in real life but a fantasy of mine for a fictional novel or movie is a situation like you described where many years later one of his victims is exonerated and awarded several million dollars restitution and instead of making a new life for themselves he uses a portion of the money to finance an elaborate REVENGE against them. Kind of a modern "Count of Monte Cristo". I really want just once to see a victim of one of these detectives get a revenge.

If I spent over 10 years in jail for something I didn't do (which is a big deal considering my age), when getting released I would get mad, cry, be happy, cry again, get mad, get sad, and do it all over again until I have a heart attack and die.

This is why I’m conflicted about the death penalty. If our “justice” system will sentence people for decades based on the loosest evidence or no evidence at all, how do we know a death penalty won’t be sentenced on close to nothing?
