    This is more exciting than node+0 as it seems to actually be feasible. Quite exciting. I'm surprised this wasn't done years ago.

    Instead of lower SNR you will have higher SNR...I think he meant lower noise

      Remote PHY is an approach to distributed access architecture (DAA) in a digital hybrid fiber/coax (HFC) network. It moves the physical layer from the cable modem transfer switch to the network edge. By decreasing the distance to the customer’s equipment, it can achieve higher bandwidth and throughput than a centralized system
      Yes, should be higher SNR and lower noise floor
