    Without Leon Todd, I would never have gained the courage to venture past just downloading premade preset packs, to learn what I can do on my own from scratch. This unit is an ocean of possibilities for a guitar player, and I feel you provide us with the battleship to navigate it. Thank you. A link to your channel should be included with every Axe Fx, that’s all we need.

    Just bought the Axe FX III based on your videos. This video shows how I am going to use the Axe FX III - into a power amp and two 2x12 Marshal JCM 800 cabs. I am bookmarking this video. Great demo and advice.

      The new speaker impedance curves do an even better job of dialing in the cabs than this IMO. Congrats on the III :)

    "I own an AXE FX3 MK2, and I just want to say a huge thank you-your channel has been incredibly helpful in guiding me through learning and navigating it to achieve pro-level tones. I truly appreciate all the valuable content you provide.
    I have a request for a video, if possible. I'd love to see either the AXE FX3 or FM9 connected to the Milkman Amp Stereo 200W, running through 1 for mono and 2 real cabs for stereo, with cab block turned off on the AXE FX. I've been reading a lot of positive reviews about its sound quality and portability for gigging, and it would be awesome to see your take on it. Cheers!"

    Noob question for ya... would you not want to run a tube power amp? Would it not sound "better"? I know subjective. but these units have my interest peaked, I have a Diezel VH4 I love to death and a Line 6 Helix for when I want to play through monitors at a low volume. I was wondering how the Helix models would sound with a tube power amp. I downloaded some cool cab IR's.

    • @LeonTodd
      @LeonTodd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of the models in the Fractal rely heavily on the power amp characteristics (Plexi, Tweeds etc) so you lose some of that if you disable power amp modelling and use a tube power amp. Having said that, running stuff like the Mesa and Diezel models with a Mesa power amp sounds HUGE.

    I feel like the Axe doesn’t interact with the speakers in the same way that my actual SS amp does that powers my Axe to the cab. It makes me really wonder if I’m just wasting time and effort trying for the amp in my room thing. I mean it sounds okay, but there’s still a weird thing happening where it’s like FRFR going through guitar speakers. Does that make sense? Do you agree at all?
