Jeff is the best fishing instructor on the Internet!! Jeff, thank you for getting me into fishing and for sharing your knowledge! I bagged another bass this AM, thanks to this Texas Rig lesson! The fish weren't biting for the first hour, so I went to this and had one in the bag within 15 mins!! Thank you!

    Hey Jeff,
I started fishing about 8 months ago, I am constantly on TH-cam watching bass fishing videos. Your instructional videos are hands down better than anyone else doing it. Hopefully you're doing good! Can't wait for more content from you. Until then I'll just rewatch all your old videos. Thanks again for sharing your passion for fishing!

Looks as though you have a good start on a following. Possibly you’re still receiving some income. I’ve Never tried an income channel but I have followed people that have and built great followings. You know what to do. Here are two channels that found a “formula” and stuck to a 9 or 10 minute length with good variety. Sssniperwolf and Scotty Kilmer. They’re different but alike. I Encourage you to carry on. Of course I have no idea your life situation at all. You have the right appearance, information, delivery and no bs style. Cheer it up with a joke or laugh into your how to style and I think you’ll do great things. Good luck.

Great tips does this texas rig work on catch snakehead because here in India we don't have bass. We catch mostly snakeheads only with top water lures..

the weightless zoom super fluke is my go to bait! I love that white ice color, rhe smokey shad color and of course the watermelon candy color. I always rig mine using a gamagatsu Superline EWG hook - this hook gives it the right weight!

Thanks for the guide! I know y’all advocate catch and release fishing, and I was wondering whether you would consider adding a video to the beginner guide explaining how to handle a fish once you’ve caught it to maximize it’s survival chances once it’s back in the water (using wet hands, how to hold and support larger vs smaller bass with your hands, etc.).
From my understanding, most fish have a better than 90% chance to survive when handled properly, but can be accidentally killed by improper handling. In my experience, new anglers don’t necessarily know about the proper way to handle a fish when taking it off the hook. I love to fish, and it’s important that the fish I catch survive so that other anglers get to enjoy catching them as well!

I would fish at Lake Cachuma in California and caught many bass in a day with only one lure. I used a silver Kastmaster lure and it was a medium sized one. I fished from the shore. When I cast out I let the lure hit the bottom, put the tip of my pole almost in the water and reeled the lure in fast. I caught a Bass that was about 14lbs on it one day when I cast into the middle of a cove. When the lure hit the water the bass immediately jumped out of the water and I had it hooked. I reeled it in so fast I didn't give it time to fight. It was the best fishing experience I ever had.

It's so frustrating when people forget the most basic things. ALWAYS peg your weight, otherwise you just created a hook extractor. That is why so many people lose fish with texas rigged worms, unless they risk the fish's life by allowing them to swallow it. The weight flies away from the bait when a fish is hooked and as it slides back, it can do so with enough force to pop your hook right out of the fish's mouth. No sub and dislike for failing to mention the most crucial part of texas rigging a soft plastic.
