I went for a brisk 30minute walk in the rain today while singing Please don't change and someone stopped me and said 'you have a great voice what song is that you're singing' So I told her and gave her all the infor, she quickly looked for it on her mobile phone on spotify and thanked me. I feel I did my bit as ARMY to prompt Jungkook, the Golden Album and BTS.

Not on tv! Just streamed on TH-cam and Xbox. It was only announced 30 minutes prior to the show, so that’s why he was so thrilled to see the massive crowd. Armys are better than the fbi and had been gathering there all day just because someone had noticed staff cleaning the glass in the morning. So proud of him!
Lol, " better than the FBI". That is so wild that someone posted cleaning of the glass to make Army go on alert.
I loved when he said “ I see so many people… ARMY!” He was pleased 💜💜💜 ARMY ROCKS

He did so well. This wasn't the one where he was freezing. That was the Today show and it was in the morning, on a stage outside on the street. Yes, it had to be on like the coldest day so far this year and was windy too. JK was bummed as he felt he didn't do well on Standing Next To You (the 3rd song that time). There is video where ARMY's have seen him telling his manager he couldn't sing because the wind was going up his nose when he was trying to sing. So yeah, cold and also windy. I think he Did have a slight cold while doing this one a day or so after the Today show one. The day before he told us that there would be a surprise in NY the next day - but no explanation of what or where. ARMY's figured it out because of his billboard running Calvin Klein ads there at Times Square. The stage is under/within the billboard ad and that's where they showed him performing as he was performing. He pretty much shut down Times Square with 30 minutes official notice and at 5:30 pm (rush hour) for this one that you watched. He did great and really looked like he was having fun with the dancers too.
He came, he saw, he conquered!!!! The TSX ad, about 1 minute long has the best views of how big the crowd was. The Today show performance was when it was cold. I live in NYC and the weather has been wild. One day 40° the next 68° 😂
He is just an amazing performer. And I love that you want more dancing. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻
Still upset with the Today show. 15 minute breaks in between his songs to air stuff. How could they not cover him or keep him warm between takes.
What shows me everything I need to know about JK as a person, was he noticed he was blocking one of the hosts and stepped out of the way. 😘

The performance JK was apologizing for was his performance on the Today show. You could tell he was really cold and looked so uncomfortable. His poor hands were so red from the cold. He was still great! His TSX performance was so lit though!!!! He really is a great performer just like the rest of BTS. I have watched the TSX performance many times and can't help smile, scream and cheer him on!
He actually told someone off stage (one of his staff members who brought him a coat) that he got a mouthful of cold air. I hate that venue because it can be a wind tunnel when there's the slightest breeze. But every performance after that he just crushed it.

What make the singer successful is his live performance.. All the charts don't make you a good singer... Jk doesn't need anything.. His live vocals will always make him the best

This performance is epic and unusual for a foreign artist. That shows Jk"s value as an artist and influencer. 30 m in advance but of course Armys are detectives and they knew something was being kooked at Times Square for some time.😂😂😂
I remember seeing Twitter blowing up , me and my friend camped there for 5 hours to get a good view . WORTH THE WAIT , HE WAS AMAZINGGG

16:26 This dancer right here is Brian Puspos. He's Jimin's fav dancer from their debut era. He's Jungkook's one of fav dancer too since the beginning. And he's the same damcer who choreographed Jimin's serendipity. And now he's a friend and fan of BTS ❤
Yes & No is suchhhh a romantic song ❤❤❤ and Please Don't Change has a nice sound to it. I love Hate You and Closer off his album too, along with Standing Next To You ❤ In short his album is sooooo good !

The performance your talking about when it was cold it the citi live performance. Not this one . He sounded great with his raw vocals you can really hear his voice and his breathing. He used the backing in the parts he didn't sing . It amazing how stabe he is

Also the backing vocals he does often go over the melody he's also singing so he get's to sing one part while the next part is with ending or starting.

It was the Today Show that he had a hard time with the cold. He wasn’t happy with his performance but we couldn’t tell. I think he was fine here, but I think He was still fighting a cold. I almost drove up the NYC from Va because of the very cryptic notice the night before about an event in nyc the next day. But I had work and no days off to take. I saw on Twitter that ARMY were gathering in Times Square just in case and were talking about people cleaning up that stage space so more ARMY came ( I was watching from a cam on a building on google earth!) then 30 min before they announced it and I am so proud of ARMY from NY/Nj for getting there and showing up for JK. And I add m so impressed and blown away by his performance. I wanted to hear how he felt about it but never did before he went to the military. But it was amazing and fairly historical that he has a crowd like that and has such a successful sneak performance. I’m so proud of him!
Hi Bryan. Thank you for this reaction. The performance when Jungkook had voice issues was the one where he appeared on the Today Show on NBC. It was very cold and windy in Rockefeller Center that morning. On this performance in Times Square, it was in the mid 50s so he didn’t have those issues. He sang beautifully.
This performance was not televised. It was a surprise announced only 30 minutes before showtime. It was a Weverse exclusive and live streamed only on that platform. But word somehow got out a little bit earlier and the crowd started to gather around 4pm. The show began at 5:30 pm ET. It was a surprise treat, a gift from Jungkook for ARMY. It literally made my night and the rest of the week 🥰. Jungkook and BTS are simply the best guys ever! ILTSM 😍💜
It can get very cold and harsh in Korea. Seoul can get as low as -25. Went to Seoul last year at Hybe it was -15 before Xmas. 😅😅😅 Imagine the weather in January and February. Stay warm JK and army.
It was in the upper 50s F at 5:30 p.m. in NYC that Thursday, so not too bad. I don’t think it was ever announced (?). I found out 2 hours before in a fan’s TH-cam video, but how this assembled crowd knew is still unclear! I haven’t seen it broadcast on any tv station. JK’s only the second artist to perform on this new stage. The first was Post Malone. Above him projected on a huge screen, people farther away can watch JK on video.💜

it was announced 30 mins by bighit before it started. most of people there were locals of new york aside from armys. people went there wo knowing jungkook was really going to be there but saying they hope jungkook would be there bc of the speculations. but no one know it it wasn't confrmed. bighit announced it 30 mins before it started. bighit is very unpredictable. everyone also thought jk would be performing at vmas but didn't happen. the crowd ter was gi-nomous. jungkook is amazng and incredible. he's mind blowing

anyway yes it is a surprise performance they did not announce this performance... they just gave a clue that that jk will be performing in NYC and the date.. thats it no specific place where or time.. they just confirmed it 30 mins before performance.
army just saw someone cleaning the stage the day before and speculated that maybe JK will perform there and army waited the whole day since they did not give out the exact time.....
anyway it just blows my mind coz for a surprise performance a ton of people are there :)

Jungkook gave a 30 min. advance notice .The boy can draw a crowd! As much as we love this album a music reviewer in Korea gave it 2 stars out of 5. I think his real beef is with Bighit & taking the K out of K-Pop. There are always opinions that are questionable. Que sara sara
no. korean media and news outlets gave it the best reviews. you are talkig about jungkook antis who have always had a beef against jungkook cos they are one jealous, one sided and biased to other members. they are very suspicious. it is so fishy. kpop is so corrupt and toxic. many people on twitter X said they are rigged in order to give jungkook's album not 5 stars. locals n media, GP and most people who listened to his album said jungkook's Golden is the best album. it is really true. jungkook so talented. his vocals his songs are so amazing. it is No. 1 top selling album in USA and No. album in USA on billboard. its streams surpassed bts albums during first weeks. it surpassed all albums of bts solos in just first week. standing next to you is No. 5 on hot 100 and No. 1 on billboard 200 charts. without radio and d@C sales. billboard also reduced digital sales points to 25% before golden release..

There is a reviewer that gave it to two. He said he felt the album had no cohesiveness and that it was all over the place. But that’s what the point of the album was no? Jk wanted to try all different styles but the overall theme was wanting to be with someone. But everyone has an opinion eh

It's horrid singing out in the cold on the throat I know been there and done that. In fact I'm doing a concert outside next week and I'm really not looking forward to it as I'm singing and playing with my band, the fingers on my left hand are going to be painful and my throat is going to be so sore by the end of it. So I know that Jungkook did an amazing performance in the cold.

there isn't any backing, they are back up singer vocals, but he cuts his notes short from losing breathe and you would hear the track and he is improving a lot. pop acts like JK and BTS practice singing and dancing. its been famously reported that when Beyonce had created Destiny's Child, and their dad manage them, they would go on long runs and while running they would have to sing till they could stay on pitch, NSYNC talked about when they started the would practice in warehouse in 110 degree heat to build their endurance to sing and dance and if you watch any of their live shows, their vocals are live and there is no backing...
i think he means he dont want Army to change at all, he will us to stay like we are now

I might be wrong on this, but I don't think it was backing on this... This was a "flawed" performance, "ruined" according to Jungkook. I would have to disagree with him on that one lol
Of course, I can hear when his notes and breath don't hit perfectly, and it happened a few times during this performance, but I don't mind at all!
But my point is the mic sound is extremely clear and the sound mixing was not that great either. So his vocals are "placed" above the instrumental more than it is mixed in with it. It leaves JK's live voice especially clear, to the point some reactors have wondered what is going on with the sound/microphone. It's just not that great sound mixing and JK having a bit more of an "off day" by his own standards. Not by mine, but I get what he mean💜
(Not an expert on this stuff or anything, it's just things I have picked up on from different experts on TH-cam.)
JK on his solo stuff tends to have very little, if any coverings/backing tracks for his live vocals. Even among BTS members who more or less always sing live, you can hear his live voice a lot clearer compared to other BTS vocalists when they dance(this is not meant as a criticism or shade or anything, just something I have noticed).
Just listen to My Time(BTS concert), or his solo MNET countdown stages(he is more or less the only one actually singing live in those performances). His voice tends to be much clearer than others. When dancing we hear his breathing or when he is pushing air to force the voice out because he has been dancing and singing at the same time and is obviously very tired.

It wasn't this performance, was early one on GOOD MORNING AMERICA, he was super cold, he has to put coat on, and he went talked to the side by his people manager, said was hard to sing because the cold 🥶 air etc, he did good, but later one on Wever or TH-cam he apologized for the poor quality,
