First of all, I love Jungkook’s parts on both Seven AND 3D. Catchy songs, his artistry~ top notch. But, Yes, I think that’s exactly it. There is a target audience and goals. I thought Jack had a great flow, and he’s a good rapper, but I just know I’m not his audience. That’s ok. Jungkook has been attempting to break into his full-on adult mode~ mostly, I think, because his goals are to be completely versatile, as an artist. He has to break down some “I’m an innocent baby” walls and he knows it. He’s been strategically working on breaking that mold, for a hot minute. He has put two rappers, that push some ARMY limits, onto his songs. But, it’s done intentionally, 1)to break those molds and 2)increase the audiences for both himself, and the other artists. As an ARMY, I’ve been ok with both rappers, because I feel like they like and respect Jungkook~ especially when you see behind the scenes videos. JK looks like he’s having fun and looks like his normal self. So, if this is how he has chosen to further break down barriers, then more power to him. The end goal is our precious Golden Maknae spreading his talents and good character, to an even wider audience. Since I can only see how the world will benefit from that, I’m choosing to support all efforts toward that goal. 😊💜🥰

lol seeing your face when you listen to Jack´s part was really funny, i understand some people are not used to explicit/sexual lyrics or people who are not monogamous but as a poly girl i really like to see how JK and the song are open about f%cking and enjoying your sexuality, i listen to some rappers like Doja, Megan thee stallion, etc and they also have some songs that are much more explicit, since bts debutes as a hip hop group i thought more fans would be use to listening to really explicit lyrics, because songs like 3D and 7 are really tame, i even expected something more explicit. But yeah, at the end i am happy that JK is breaking boundaries and talking about things that are taboo in korea (i dont know why sexu@lity is still a taboo, if someone is ok with their own sexu@lity and there is consent then all good) BTS always break the mold when it comes to being "idols"

As always, enjoyed your reaction. I’m not a prude even though I’m a silver aged USA ARMY & have followed BTS since 2015. You can talk & sing about sex in words & mannerisms that are not raw, crude & shoved in your face.
3D’s musical beat, sound & range complimented JK’s vocal creativity & abilities.
    1) JK’s verses with double meanings, even though he was singing about adult topics, were expressed in such a way that was fun, flirty & tempting. Permission & acceptance was noted.
    2) JH’s verses, even though he was rapping in 1st person about who he used to be & where he is now could have been executed in a lighter manner that engages your imagination. His sound & flow was ok. To me, his verses just didn’t enhance the song at all.
    BUT, to each his own.

If you want to check out Jack Harlow further, try his 2022 ‘First Class.’ Someone pointed out that Harlow claims in his rap here that he has reformed in his attitude toward women, but right after he says he’s changed, his lyrics descend into having the hots for ABG (Asian baby girls)-2, 3, 4 in rows😳, mushrooms, and thots (wh*res). Why call anyone by these terms? This guy’s got a longggg way to go uplifting his attitude toward women, which he treats like his serial (or group) conquests. I just hope JK keeps his great values and spreads them around. Treating women that way is so…immature.💜

I still find it funny that people are calling Jack's part crude when JK is singing about champagne confetti. But, if someone isn't into the rap part that is understandable we all like different types of music styles. Rap has always been known for being overtly sexual and that's not everyone's cup of tea. I guess I just like it because of the theme of consent, it's a good message we don't usually hear in rap.

Don't worry Bryan, you will be pleased to know that there is an alternate version - without Jack Harlow. Which I much prefer.💜Actually, he has several versions of 3D - including Slowed Down, and Sped Up, verions.😆
I am also not a fan of Jack Harlow's feature on the song. Even apart from the lyrics, his part just feels superfluous. It feels like a complete song, that his rap was tacked onto. That's how I feel anyway.
But I do love the song (sans Jack Harlow), and think Jungkook did great on it. And, once again, Jungkook used wirework during the MV; this time in two different parts. I'm beginning to suspect he enjoys it.💜😂
Opinions seem divided about Jack Harlow's inclusion on the song. Which does get people talking about it, I guess💜

I watched this because I was interested in your reaction, Bryan, not because I wanted to see or hear 3D again. As always, I appreciate your point of view. I'm not letting JK or BigHit off the hook for Harlow's part, though. After all, they invited him and chose his version for JK's debut solo album. Clearly, they like what Harlow did. I love JK's voice, and I'm rooting for his success, but I think Seven and 3D are giant steps backward for JK artistically. He's like a top chef who could be serving creme brulee but is having a blast dishing out deep-fried Oreos instead.

Hey Brian, there is a version with just JK, i think most of us prefer to listen to just JK singing hehe
I am not a fan of many western rappers so my favorite version is the version with just JK, but i like the song even with jack´s rap, is silly and funny, i also like the way he is calling himself a wh0re lol, instead o f calling women that way he is talking about him. And it was so funny to see people being mad because the song is sexu@l, like both of them (jackl and jk) are grown man, if people dont like women or men being open about their sexuality then they just dont need to listen, but making 1000 comments on twitter about how much they hate the song is wo weird, if someone dont like a song why they keep talking about it. Oh and rappers (especially black rappers of course because they created most of them) use many slangs so thats why there are some lyrics that are not literal and some people (especially white) didnt undesrtood some parts or slangs

You have a good point, I don't get people going online and complaining a bunch. If you don't like it, that's fine, just like it's fine if you do like it.
That's the beauty of art, it's subjective to the individual. I like parts of the song and do not like some other parts, which is pretty normal. Like a book, you do not need to love every page to enjoy the book overall.

Being honest I feel sad that I saw the opposite, a lot of men stating the misogynist lyrics of that guy counting girls as trophies and women supporting no matter what the song and even insulting those stating facts.
I love BTS to pieces and I will always support them, but not this kind of treatment to women. They being accused unfairly of misogynia in the past and they were just talking about innocent first love. That was so unfair and as a woman those accusations made me feel so bad because was nothing misogynistic on those lyrics.
So yes for me is a big dissapointment Jungkook approved those lyrics to put in his song, but since now he approached to the USA-pop it seems to be OK or just you know you have an alternative version. Is anyone really addressing the elephant in the room. The song is a popy song, it is OK. But am I going to support this song? No. Am I going to support Jungkook in another works? Oh hell yes, unless he settles in misogynistic lyrics. Am I going to support BTS? Always with my soul and heart. Borahae 💜

It's the bare minimum, though. People are reaching so hard with that. I saw someone say it was pro lgbtq+, too, because the ending is ambiguous about who he's flying from Korea to touched him, and they think he's talking about Jungkook. Istg people want to put so much meaning into these lyrics even though they're the same people who complained that BTS's English songs had no depth. Seven and 3D were written by the same class of professional writer/producers as those songs'. Those lines aren't activism, they are lip service to go with the innuendos of some pretty raunchy sexual action and swallowing of various bodily fluids. 🙄🙄🙄

I am not a Jack Harlow fan in general, but his verses are more about calling himself out for the toxic way he used to think and explaining that he has a healthier perspective now. Both he and Jungkook make statements that imply consent. I love the song, the video is lighthearted, and the choreography is amazing. I really enjoy listening to it and didn't think it needed a deep dive into the lyrics . I just have a couple thoughts about the discourse surrounding this song.
Do I think Jack Harlow brings a lot to the song? No. But, Jungkook does, and I'll respect his choice. I would like to emphasize that part. Everything in this song was Jungkook's choice. He is a grown ass adult who is in charge of the music he wants to release right now. He's not a child who doesn't understand sexy talk, lol. If Jack Harlow is being misogynistic, then Jungkook must have approved it. You can't call a verse misogynistic without putting that label on the whole song. I personally don't think either of them are misogynistic, they're just talking about sex. You can choose to love or hate the song, or specific verses, without making harsh statements about a person's character.
Secondly, I would just like to remind everyone that Jungkook has been being objectified and sexualized by Armys of all ages since he was a kid. I know this to be true, because I've been around that long. I would just hope that anyone who is concerned about the objectification of women they feel is depicted in this video, have not been objectifying and sexualizing Jungkook all this time.

Well for me Jungkook bring some spice in his songs and telling some stories, for me it says that he already grown up and not a baby or an innocent guy we usually known anymore as part of his/ thier chapter2 career (might be called evolution). Even me like to move like them. The video you reacted are not the mv of 3d as i know. Enjoyed to watch it with you.

Jack Harlow gives Andrew Tate energy. The way he represents women by dressing them the same and calling them Thots and ABGs. He is very similar to Andrew Tate and it is disappointing that he is aligned with BTS.

He was making fun of himself abt being a player and the fact he was/is high. You stated yourself, a lot of ppl don’t understand rap, especially real rap outside K-pop so when they hear Jack verse they’re shocked. Also jk n hype would have to prove of the lyrics too 🤷🏾‍♀️

The complaint have nothing to do with the use of bad words or being sexy... it's about being misogynistic, treating women as a piece of neat that only serves to satisfy his promiscuity. And... I didn't like his insinuations over JK. Don't you read the lyrics?

@@silviamunoz6863sorry but if you think a women or man not being monogamous equals to women not having self respect or men not having respect that doesn't mean everyone thinks the same way, he didn't say something bad about women, reducing mis0giny to people wanting to f%ck with whoever they want is really concerning. No one is hating on women in this song, is quite the opposite, they are singing about enjoying something and about consent. It's funny people are so shocked about Jack Harlows part here in 2023, it's like people have never heard rap before. This is a song very much inspired by music from around 2000 ( 20 years ago ). Music like what Nelly, Usher and Justin Timberlake did. Please listen to songs from that periode this track would fit right in. Perhaps it is because it is Jungkook?!.. What if it was an American singer would you have had the same reaction?.

@@louisedawnauthor6590 it is not because I want to argue with you and we are too far apart in how we percieve this song that we never will find common ground. For me it is a fun party song reminiscences songs from around 2000. Songs like Justin Timberlakes 'Rock your Body', Nelly's 'Hot in herre_ and 'Candy Shop', 50 cents ' In da club' ,Nsync's 'Digitale get down' Ushers 'Yeah' and Ginuwine 'Pony'. For me it is okay that you dont like a song from BTS or one of the members. And it is okay that you just one time express your feelings. But after that I really think you have to let it go. Okay you didn't like the lyrics and the artist Jungkook chose to collaborate with. Then it is not a song for you. I think JK knew that some people would be offended by the way he wanted to express his solo self. He has even stated that multiple times. Solo JK is another side of him than BTS JK. He knows that some don't like songs about sex, multiple partners or whatever and are easily offended - they should step away from this. He knows that those who can tolerate songs with this message and find it to be a fun party song - they can stay. It is totally up to one self, but don't get mad at people that enjoy this. If it is not for you - it is not for you - listen to something else. And lastly in the song Jack Harlow makes fun of himself that yes!, he has had multiple partners and calls himself a hoe. He even state that "I done put these shrooms to good use" - he is wasting his "magic mushroom"....so now he having phone sex with a girl from Korea whom he find really hot and interesting and wants to meet in real life. So he is inviting her to come visit him in Kentucky and hope she likes him too and would like to have sex with him.

@taequilasilver7183 I ❤️ comments to show people I've read them, but that doesn't necessarily mean I like the comment or agree with it.
I delete nasty comments that go against community standards and my channel rules, comments that attack the artist, or attack a person commenting. Other than that, I try to leave comments so this can be a place to talk openly and honestly about music. (My rule about challenging the argument, not the person, applies here).
Much like ARMY, my community is from all over the world, with different ways of thinking about things. I try to always keep that in mind and respect the opinions, even if I do not agree with them.
