Absolutely right, there are so many places where you can go and unwind and these places are just a few minutes away from each other. Another thing I love about Halifax is the transit facility. You have good frequencies of buses available which takes you to the different parts of the city.
I lived in Halifax from the early to mid 2000s while I was going to school. I shared an apartment with an actor who ended up getting a recurring role on the Trailer Park Boys. I remember going with him one day when they filmed a few scenes in front of Province House. Cool memories...awesome times.
Thanks for your effort of filming and compiling these videos. Those sceneries in the video are so vivid that bring me back to the old days I stayed in Halifax. I came there in 2002 when I was 22 and stayed 2 years to get my master’s degree in Dalhousie. Unfortunately I decided not to stay in Canada after graduation. However living and studying in Halifax has become part of my precious memory. My kids brought up in Australia have little sense of the white world. They even don’t know the feeling of walking on snow in the streets or parks. I bet they would be crazy for your videos as there are always so much snow around you, wherever you go.
I'm from India and planning to move to Halifax as an HR profession, is that profile in demand, how is the cost of living and environment, is it a safe city.
Hi Sangita - Halifax is a very safe city and a beautiful one I might add. I do think you should be able to find work in HR fairly easily. It's a relatively affordable city - we have beautiful summers and autums, the spring can be a little short and the winters are cold and have lots of snow. I think you'll love it here
