I think I might be one of the few who don’t care for the petri “look”. I absolutely love the backs of the ones with pigment paste. The blue and purple with bright white is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your experiment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it and I’m glad you enjoyed it. This video is definitely not my most popular but I think it still has its merit’s 😀👍
I love this technique. I used to watch Julie do it a while back along with her other experiments. Your first results are wonderful and I think you will achieve what you are wanting with the first group you did. Great job Wendy. XOXO
I have so many various pigments (from pastes to powders) but I have never thought to dilute them with alcohol and do something like this. Thank you for sharing this!
Great to see someone else giving this a go! I tried it with mica, it didn't work 😅 Was really pretty though. I'm waiting on some pigments to come. I think Julie uses white pigment paste with the pigments instead of alcohol ink. Maybe that would help with not dulling the colours so much 🤔 Dunno lol Great experiment 💞
Thanks very much. I will try that out, but our pigment pastes are very different from Julie's. Thanks very much for this, tbh I was a bit uncertain if people would find it helpful or interesting, but went on anyway lol. 👍😁
@@Toonpish Oh no, definitely interested and very much appreciated 🥰 I'm gonna have a go when my pigments finally arrive and I'll let you know how it goes. I think I'll try both ways and see what happens. Definitely show us if you do any more experimenting with it ☺💜 x x
I really love when artists tip their hats to other artists. I have long wished to master this tricky technique. Your work is lovely. I do wonder if using a syringe or pipette to inject the colors might have interesting effects with these.
Very pretty yes I do watch her Channel and I know exactly and the videos you're referring to. I hope next time you try alcohol inks. I have commented to her several times why not try and I think you could only achieve this with alcohol inks that is not so heavy-handed not such multiple colors in one mold but I'd like to see it done where they're NOT so OPAQUE. Could you maybe TRY that add it to your list? Thanks in advance
I will add it to the to-do list NP. I've a few projects lined up but I'm sure I will get round to it. Alcohol inks float though, so they will need white in them to sink a little. That will make them more opaque, but I'll try it out somehow. Thanks 👍☺️
You can do it all different ways. The best person to watch on this kind of thing is Daniel Cooper 😀😀 check out his channel. He is way ahead of me on this type of thing 👍❤️
the paste pigments looks amazing! its like the effect of alcohol inks but with more control - fab!
Yes absolutely! I am looking forward to more trials lol. Thanks very much 💕
I absolutely LOVE the results from the paste pigments .... absolutely adore them 😍😍😍 thanks for sharing with us all 🙌🙌❤❤❤
Now you know why I bought so many 🤣🤣🤣 thanks Hun. Got to practice now lol

That was a very interesting experiment. The pigment paste definitely seems to be the way to go. It gave really amazing results!
If only we could get more choice in the UK.
It’s getting better now though 😂😀
Thanks Lisa 🤗

Thanks very much Hun 💕. I will be playing around quite a bit I think 🙂👍😁

Happy crafting 👍❤️
Great video Wendy, very interesting, learned a lot, thanks for sharing. love that the first pigments matched your hair too! lol
Lol. I can't help myself, I'm so drawn to those colours 😂😂😂 thanks so much 👍😁
Hi Wendy, Great experiment and really well explained. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses. Take care Wendy. Cheers, Huw
Thanks very much huw. I will let you know if I get some successful experiments 👍😁
Very Cool Experiment Wendy!
Thanks Steve ☺️👍😁
This was so so helpful. I love seeing everything you do! Thanks so much.
I am glad this helps others. I love to learn and play with different things. Thanks Chantal

Thanks Pam. It's good to support fellow crafters I feel. We are all here together huh. 😄😄😄😄👍

Aren't you supposed to put the white *On top* of the colors, not in them?

@@Toonpish Didn't you do a collab with him? I'll have to check it out :-)
No I haven’t. But he is talented in this field ❤️
