No, Captain Hyperbole, 'everyone' didn't pick against Alcaraz. Why wd 'everyone' pick against the defending champion, who just won the French Open, who beat Sinner there, when he's 21 & Djokovic is 37 & just had knee surgery? I picked him to win for all those reasons and cuz he's the best glass player right now when combined with his athleticism.

    • @kevinlakeman5043

@@figgettit No, that's highly, highly unlikely. And no true tennis fan will forget about the GOAT. He's an annoying mix of brilliance and a human pity party. but he's the best the game has seen so far. 24 major titles, the record for Masters titles, most weeks at #1. Most major QFs, SFs. Best returner of serve. On and on.

@@MrJiggy80 Thanks. No, we serbs like carlos very much. He was always respectful to novak and serbian people. We appreciate that a lot. And this you can show in serbian media also. We will support him after djoković, because for many reasons. Serbs are not rude and the typical „booing“ people because we know the players don’t deserve it and its unprofessional. Heart and soul is very important. carlos deserves the same success like our hero djoković. That can only be achieved, when the whole nation sticks together.

This guy is a freak, he's just getting better and better and yet, it seems he just keeps getting more humble with every major he wins. So incredible and a joy to see, not to mention his efforts to improve his English is really commendable. He's using big words like 'expectations' and sometimes uses idioms that you only start using when you get to an advanced level of learning a new language. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a polyglot like Novak too. You can see he still idolizes Novak even though he beat him again. That was pretty much clear in the post-match official Wimby press conference. How can anyone not like this guy.

Honestly unless he starts suffering with injury issues I would put the over under on majors for his career at Sampras (and would be inclined to favour the over).

Lots of passion and charisma on the court. Lots of humility and respect off of it. You can tell he grew up watching Rafa as his role model. Longevity will determine if he can reach the huge totals of the big three but Calros has a chance to continue rewriting the record book as far as being the first to many milestones. I believe he has at least three chances in Melbourne to become the youngest with a career slam (which is insane).
