I've still got an old Hirobo SDX nitro with Beast X and it still flys awesome! Alan flew it once down in New Zealand low and hard putting it through its paces. It's the pilot that makes the heli, not the other way around. Hope your doing well Alan.

I grew up with nitro. Back when there was no gyros! It was fun when they finally came out with the first gyro. People that complain about mess. Are just lazy. Thank God you wipe your but. There still be a mess. 🤣😂

I find a big nitro is more convenient than a big electric and the mess doesn't bother me, I don't keep them in the house so I don't need to empty them and keep them spotless. I sold all my dual pack electric helis, not only were the packs expensive, it was a full time job charging them and looking after them!

I still have my SDX and it's flybarred! 👍. I also have a JR Voyager 50, Synergy N9 and Miniature Aircraft Xcell Fury Extreme 90, all still flybarred!

I built one of these 15+ yrs ago never did do a final radio set up on it.. just stuck in the closet.... need to get it out and fly it or sell it

Alan, What headspead are you running in this flight? 1950 rpms?
They topped out around 2100 governed but I think 2050 was a sweet spot for 3d.

The minus of nitro is all about the mess and the reliability. I still fly nitro but it's just not as convenient any more.
