I did EMDR therapy and it was incredible ❤ it forced me to get uncomfy and get through traumas from my childhood and even adulthood! It really did help me ❤

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m proud of you for getting out of that & healing & being in a much better place & situation. I was in an abusive relationship as well & it helps to know others have gone through similar situations & are able to grow & heal from past traumas. I’m currently also in therapy as well. Thank you ❤

Wow, I got chills when you said he told you "your pain is my pleasure". What a pathetic person to enjoy abusing people they claimed to love 😢
This all goes to show that you can't "fix" anyone. You can support someone in their journey to fix themselves but they have to want to and also put in the work to do it nobody else can do it for them.

Wow this was heavy. Took a trip down memory lane with my past relationships a little. I’ve been single for 3 years now, I have a 2 year old and the father I believe is a narcissist and a psychopath. I found it out as soon as I got pregnant, thankfully was strong enough to go through hell on my own to get away from him and not put him on the birth certificate. That is my POWER. and I would never put him on it because I kno as soon as I do I give up my power. He would fight me in court, be able to kidnap, etc. I’m still extremely traumatized and heartbroken, choosing single and abstinence, crystals all the things, manifestation to change my reality, on my healing journey. When Amanda’s abuser said “your pain is my pleasure” made me think of my ex that said “ I bet you would like it if I started beating you”. I do believe this is psychopathic behavior and very thankful I have the strength to be a solo mama for the safety and success of me and my 2 Y/O’s future. ❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Thank you so much for sharing part one and part two, abuse is more common than people realize. I cried with you Amanda, I can relate to a lot. Cheers to overcoming and strong women 🎉

This was so relatable. As a survivor myself, thank you to Amanda for opening up & to Bri for supporting. “Forgive someone who was never sorry”….THAT is powerful! You guys rocked this two-part episode in a safe and smart way!! ❤

Ugh, I resonate with these two episodes too much. It makes me feel sick thinking about what I’ve been through and how much I relate to just about everything you’ve said in this podcast. This is my second abusive relationship and it makes me think that all men are like this so why even bother getting out? I know I’ll be suffering some sort of abuse anyway, it’s just seems easier to stay sometimes. 😢
Thanks so much for sharing your story. It’s definitely been thought-provoking and therapeutic to hear your experience. I just have to say, this podcast is done so well! I’ve been listening to Bri since the beginning and have always loved the podcast but the dynamic between you two is effortless and fluid. Loving it so much!
