Yes, Soul Eater is bright and has a lot of funny and awesome moments, but it gets CREEPY, *especially* where witches are concerned.

One of the the few animes that deserve to be famous, and wowie zowie is this one famous. 6 million views over 6 years, and overwhelmingly liked. Well deserved sir, you put much time into this, I can tell.
Think about it a bit and it is actually. It's just that there's so much comedic relief that it draws heavily away from the more mature and dark themes of the show which might have otherwise warranted a TV-17 rating.
Here in 2020 and rewatching this for the 100th time is probably the highest point of this year for me. A testament to how much this year sucks AND how effing fantastic this AMV is.

It still has horror elements, so you can call it a horror fantasy. Indeed, it is a Dark Fantasy, after all. Despite being funny and action packed, the anime is still creepy. Is not a straight horror but a horror like Nightmare Before Christmas (in aesthetics sense)
