I just can't thank you enough for all of your advice about Finland and job searching in Finland. I watched all your videos back then in Nigeria before moving to Finland to join my husband, and am so lucky to have watched your video then. I came to Finland last year march and now i can speak Finnish language fluently. Minulla on suomalaisia ystäviä nyt ja myöskin mä puhun heidän kanssa koska mä tiedän että jos mä puhun usein se autta minua tiettämään lisää 😊 kiitos paljon

at 8:35, you make a mistaken assertion which is very often made. It is ok to bring more than 10,000 Euro into Finland. It just has to be formally stated (reported) in the immigration documents that you are bringing in more than 10,000 Euro.

What of someone who is coming to Finland but will first spend a few days in a different city before resuming school, must I register my presence in the city where I’ll be schooling?

Elisa. Unlimited data. Get it at the airport & change your money there too. (Maybe there is a better way, I don't know about, but so many students find out too late that there is no place to change your money outside of Helsinki. No wifi. Save your money. Good luck with the bank thing without your Finnish ID. First you need an identification number from dvv. It can take 3-6 months. Be prepared. S-pankki, not Nordea. Good luck getting a job. Start learning Finnish before you get here. There are all kinds of pages to learn Finnish online. Also, mail and packages here is a whole thing - very complicated before you have a bank account in Finland.

@@ImmigrationLawLivinginFinland I might have just got more used to your accent and tempo, but I honestly thought that you have taken down your tempo down by a notch.
But when I saw his comment about your speed, I am not so sure any more. Well, doesn't matter really.
There can also be some kind of cultural different customs of using tempo as a way for emphasis. It seems that in English speaking world faster speakers are perceived as more competent. Finnish speakers might have different view, even the opposite view. Fast speaking in Finnish culture has some association to being nervous, unsure or even unreliable. So, if you try to convince someone by speaking Finnish, it is best not to rush.
I hadn't thought about this difference before. I found some material, which might support my observation. But it is just my personal observation.

Lol, i think you got used to it after watching my videos for some time now. 😊. Honestly I feel sad when viewers complain about my pace. Not sad because i dont like them to complain , but sad because I can’t do anything about it. Lighting, camera, lens, background, microphone are all things that can be fixed. But I can’t change who I am. I have given up on trying to change the way i talk. In the past i have tried to talk slower but after like a few minutes i forget and I am back to being myself especially if i am passionate about the topic im talking about. This is how i talk also in person. The only time you see me talking slowly is when i am feeling unmotivated and somewhat down, and i dont like to be in that mood. Plus you guys wont see my bubbling spirit that most of you told me you like about me. That is me. And i think a creator is best enjoyed when he or she can be his or her authentic self. And i think TH-cam has realised this that is why they made it possible for viewers to adjust the pace of the video and watch the video at a slower or faster pace depending on he or she likes. Ofcourse it Doesnt mean you can’t change certain things about you as a creator, you can change your mindset, your opinions, your looks, be more open minded, learn to present your points politely etc. But as a human, the key to peace of mind is learning to accept things you can’t change and most importantly accept yourself. And i hope my viewers would do so too. 🧡🙏🏽

@@ImmigrationLawLivinginFinland I have some experience in working in marketing and sales in b2b context. It was very common to have sales training where we got individual feedback and advise in giving presentations, sales talks etc. We learned to have and use professional roles, which are separate from our own personal style. Roles are like tools, that you can use when needed, but still some of your own personality shows through.
The tempo or speed of talking can feel like having a highlighter that you can selectively use while talking.
I did a lot of presentations, often with same material, so I learned to think about presentations as performances where my own personality was less relevant than the role of giving presentations.
TH-cam channels are different situation, so perhaps showing real personality is more important.
