    One of the riders in our local group is 5' and rides an X2, and it's almost comical watching her on it. It just exemplifies how it really is bulky and excessive looking. 😂 Thank you for sharing though. Keep it up, Tim! 👍

    Dualtron X2 is for someone who has money to waste. You can almost get 2 wolf kings for the price of the X not to mention the X barely folds. Love my wolf King Gt pro and my Dualtron storm. Great video btw

    Honestly, I prefer the trigger throttle a lot more over the thumb throttle, so it wouldn't be a negative for me. The biggest negative is the price. For $8500 USD, I'm probably getting a motorcycle or getting the entire Kaabo lineup. Love your reviews, keep up the great work!

When I received my scooter i just took my time. Slowly got used to it. Did not even go above 20mph for nearly 2 months. Out of these 2 I defiantly recommend the king. I also love the Wolf King GT as you get very high specs for its price point. I agree with you for the price of the X2, they should have gotten ridden of the ey3 display and went with a TFT display. That scooter is for people who want big batteries and speed. Here in California, people hook up external batteries to their existing scooters for longer range, particularly here in Northern California referred to as "Nak Packs". The guy who made it here was named "Nak" sadly passed away a few months ago. There was even a group ride in his honor instructing everyone to bring out their "Nak Packs" for the ride. I was honored to have met the guy on my very first group ride hosted by Rated E. Good comparison Tim!

Steve uses it for his DoorDash delivery vehicle. He doesn't own a car, he uses scooters exclusively to deliver food and make a living. Other than that, I can't imagine who would be willing to dump that kind of money into a scooter.

    Price is highly region dependent, the x2 limited is like 4k$ here
    Its more of a motorcycle, yes.
    My opinion is that its made for long range high speed on not so great roads cause of greater stability and bigger battery.

    Hi Tim
    Thanks for the video. I guess if your just looking at battery, speed, range and cost then the wolf GT makes more sense. I think you have to take a closer look at the overall manufacturing quality, the quality of parts, longevity, engineering and design to make things make more sense. It’s like comparing a Cadillac to a Bentley…maybe a poor analogy but hopefully it makes it easier to understand my point. When I look at the two scooters side by side the dualtron X2 looks like an engineering marvel compared to the wolf. When you jump up and down on the X2 it seems so much smoother with so much more travel than the wolf. Anyway, to really understand the cost difference, once again you would have to do a much deeper comparison on the manufacturing, quality, parts and engineering. You can ask the same question to someone that bought a Ferrari when they could have bought a Corvette …Why? They are really two different beasts! Just my opinion.

      I own an X2 and it's a Cadillac on steroids. So smooth and comfortable. I live in a country where there are some crazy steep hills, and the Dulatron is a dream.
      It's nearly impossible to make a scooter for every size, weight person, but the X2 comes pretty close.
      I ride with a bunch of other scooters and we often switch rides. Everyone that steps on the Dulatron agreed it's a cut above.
      When it comes to making any sizable purchase, it's always comes down to one thing. Your bank account.
      I mean, why would anyone buy a Bentley?
      It's simple, because I can.

      If you don’t need to lug it up stairs or put it in a trunk the Wolf can make a great main scooter. Lots of power and speed but can be infinitely adjusted to suit your riding style. It’s definitely not for everyone but it was the perfect scooter for me.
      I have the power set decently high and lowered the top speed a lot. so I can attack hills and when needed I can mingle with cars and traffic at red lights and not get ran over.

      Interesting...you're right of course...the maneuverability will be reduced...however if it's being used as a commuter then I might even go with the X2...especially as you already know it so well. Maybe at some point or when you can I like to see a review on the vsett super 72 I think it's like similar performance as the wolf king GT pro. I think it's just a bit heavier then the king GT pro, the vsett super 72 has battery a 72v 35 battery. But yea I like the wolf king GT pro mainly because it has dual stems making it probably more sturdy at high speeds making it more rock solid then the dualtron X.

      The issue with the vsett S72 is the way it folds. The Kaabo WKGTpro has a more robust locking mechanism, no play at all and it never comes loose. The VS72 clamps have play and they come loose with aggressive riding.

    • @JulianRides
      @JulianRides ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaycarl1562 nah I'll pass I'm not getting the super 72 it's too overpriced for little performance. On Amazon those Chinese made scooter have way more watts and travel farther distance then the super 72. I like the JGH 6000 watt scooter for only $2,400 I'm eye balling that scooter travels about same distance as the wolf king pro GT on Amazon. I'm thinking maybe a dualtron scooter too but hate how all have that skinny stem with all of em having the creeking issue.

  • @blueforceerides
    @blueforceerides ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Nice comparison vid Tim! I still think 72v scooters are overkill. The money you spend on the 72v components for the bit of extra speed and acceleration, just doesn't make much sense to me. Most riders only ride between 20-30mph for a good portion of the time, so all the extra you get with a 72v setup really isn't practical. Plus, those higher speeds are sketchy at best. 52v-60v is the happy medium with 52v really giving you the most bang for your buck with performance still.
    The short stems on the Dualtron's are just terrible, not sure why they still make them that way. They are just so over priced as well, it's unfortunate. I thought about the X2 as well, and who it would be made for, and couldn't really come up with anything as well. I guess just your enthusiasts rider with extra money to burn. lol
    Anyway, thanks again and I look forward to your next vid!

      @Blue Force e-Rides I'm going to think about that as I ride to soccer this morning on a 52V Ghost...I do like the battery size on the Wolf but if it was a 52V system it would be ....quick math.....(35 Ah , 72V = 2520 Wh.....so 2520 Wh at 52V would be 48 Ah...that's crazy!!! :) :) Thanks for watching and making be do the math :)

    Hey Tim hope you are well! I took a break but am back! Just got myself a DSL (finally pulled the trigger on my superscoot)...
    Regarding this review, is there a reason you felt compelled to make this comparison? They're pretty different market segments in my mind... I think for the DX2 perhaps a more appropriate comparison would be to a Dark Knight (or to a lesser degree a Hunter Quad)? DX2 and now the DX3 (X Limited, which has upgraded displays, etc) are flagship models with the price and heft to go with it.
    I think of the Wolf King GT more in line with a D Thunder 2 or even DSL... Obviously the Nami Burn-E2 Max is the most direct comparison for the WKGT.... Maybe throw in a older Bronco Xtreme 11 as well. It's also interesting to me you equate thumb throttles as being higher end. I think you know I've always preferred trigger throttles and is one of the main reasons I DIDN'T go with a WKGT... and DID get the DSL... it's awesome AF! EY3 throttle I have no issues with - all these fancy displays I could care less about.... if someone comes up with an effective HUD that would be something - but when I'm riding I could care less how pretty my display is... I just want to know how fast I'm going quickly.
    Anyways, happy riding and be safe out there... I notice you don't wear gloves or gear (other than a bike helmet) which is an absolute must for these beast scooters imho...

    Easy to decide. I have rode both types. Even own a dualtron with the dreaded square controller. Sine wave vs square wave. Square wave is horrible and yesterdays tech. If buying i would highly recommend only buying an electric ride with a quality sine wave controller. Huge difference. Butter smooth performance, much more efficient .

      Question.. With square wave controllers I heard it's like a light switch "on or off" power. So does that mean no matter how much you pull the trigger whether its 10% or 90% you get 100% of the power?

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  ปีที่แล้ว

      it's just not as smooth with a square controller...if you press it 40% you do only get 40% power...but if you adjust it can be a bit jerky? so sine is a lot smoother ...in my experience :)

    • @JP-qq2kn
      @JP-qq2kn ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TimsElectric Ok so if you pull the throttle on a square wave to 40% you get the full 40% right away, it wont eventually be at full 100% if its held at 40% long enough..?? And with sine wave when you pull it 40% you get 40% but it's gradual to 40% not instant? Is that the difference? I thought square wave was 100% all the time no matter how much you pull the throttle, n speed was dependent on how long you held the throttle in whatever position.

    • @TimsElectric

    Never rode any Dualtron, but I did get a Wolf King GT Pro last week. This is already too powerful and too heavy and even a lil too big. That Dualtron makes the Wolf look like a normal-sized scooter, which is comical as I'm super out of shape and have already struggled (unsuccessfully) to try to get the Wolf up a curb lol. The suspension on the X2 in this video looks insane.
    I won't be ever loading it into a truck or carrying it up stairs so I don't care much about the weight, but even still it's kinda impractical. Whereas the Dualtron looks like a crazy science project a 5 year old dreamed up in their head. With that said I would absolutely love to ride it to see how it compares to my Wolf, but I'd never want to own one lol. A week in I'm having some struggles getting it in and out of tight spots, I couldn't even imagine trying with an X2.

    They probably wanted to make a product to appeal to people who want the biggest baddest thing...Pick up trucks compete like that as well. It's hard to compete with the Wolf King gt pro, so they figured let's make something that at least looks like a beast to get customers who want that sort of thing and can afford it. @@TimsElectric The Weped is honestly a rather disappointing experience. It quotes 30kW of power but unfortunately they're basing that off the phase amp ratings of the controllers which simply isnt correct. Looking at the specs of the actual controllers they aren't rated in battery amps so there isn't a great way to measure the actual power rating of the scooter but its likely to be more in the 8kW range vs the 30kW they advertise. I've tried the Weped SS and compared to the Wolf King GT I would say the King pulls slightly harder while the Weped takes a few seconds to get going. There are also other issues with the Weped such as premature battery death since the battery isnt rated to take the power the controllers are trying to pull, the motors tend to overheat because they're only rated for around 3kW and all of the bolts like the come loose.
