Oh my goodness. As others have pointed out, I guess Russell was in some kind of 'excited state'. Theresa got through it all very gracefully - congrats to her!
Came here for this.
I was listening on the luminary app and felt agitated by the way Russell was interacting with her. He seemed to think he was joking or being humorous; however, it came across as passive disrespect.
I thought it was just me, glad others noticed as well.
I usually love him but Russell you are unbearable in this interview. I felt sorry for Theresa. Not cool. Disrespectful. Childish. Hard to qualify
She is the embodiment of patience.
"Spirituality is something people must find when they're ready..." Truth. ❤️
This has been a painful lesson for me! I want my son to get out of his abusive relationship, & finally I let go, things did not improve, his Dad died & he got substantially worse. Painful for me to lose both of them. Much Love to you & All
she's so pure. old souls have a lot to teach.
Russell, based on the number of people who found your interactions
with Theresa Cheung distracting, please consider inviting her back. I know your ego can handle it! Thanks.
You did interrupt a bit much and not really dialed into her energy.
Yea.. she was amazing
This was a year ago when he was still developing.
Her comments deserved even sharper questions than Russel gave her .
@@cortneypalm11 He was not like this a year ago, terrible excuse!
I COMPLETELY GET THERESA! I have struggled SOOO much with my "ultra-sensitivity"... whilst immersed in this physical place. What a relief it has been watching this thought-provoking discussion. I simply love it! You are awesome for being you, Russell... and doing what you're now doing. Kudos & much love to you from Pittsburgh, PA US
This is my new favourite podcast ever, full of magic, light and laughter. Thank you Russell for your service and introducing us to this wonderful Woman.
Russell, you were less than kind during this interview. Theresa, you managed to stay calm and kind despite a very naughty Russell! Peace
Russel could have been much naughtier! Theresa kind of set herself up so many times, hard not to resist making fun when you`re looking for some solid theories about the connection between the physical and spiritual and only get someones dreamy ideas with nothing to to back it up.
He’s a comedian take a joke
He was a little mischievous
@@megamollie9 How could she back it up? She was attempting to tell him of the experiments, but he wouldn't let her speak, count how many times he interrupted her!! I would have walked out. He didn't give her a chance & you're quite rude to blame her for his behavior, carrying on about porn, etc.
@@mysticalmoney5953 No, he should have behaved the way he normally does rather than interrupting her, I hate when people explain bad behavior with "take a joke" because it's what narcissist's say when they are rude, "Oh, you can't take a joke". Classic narcissist line.
Excellent guest, Russell please return to your usual, lovely and receptive self. As soon as you started to ask ‘what was the last thing that made you upset about animal cruelty’ after being told that your guest found it distressing... also, stop chuffing interrupting! You wonderful man!
Ryan Boshell - stop being such a critical, control freak. Very rude.
Lars Olesen lol
"Possibly all mental illnesses are sort of an essential quest to find a truth not catered for by conventional, rational, materialistic systems." Brilliant, I love it. Would only recommend slowing down a bit and listening a bit more deeply with a lovely soul like Theresa.
Oh people...I think Russell does this when he’s especially in tune with people! He’s excited by her revelations! Russell is Russell... love him for all his ways and embrace his eccentricities! 😂🤷🏻♀️🌸💛⭐️
Paula Brown Aw I was thinking same thing ...he's Russell being Russell!! Blesses 💫🙏🙌😂
Theresa's story resonates with me on many levels. I recognise so much of her in myself. Thank you Theresa for telling us about your inner beautiful world.
I've enjoyed you for years and you are great at what you do and your open mind is intriguing.🖤 I just felt uncomfortable for your guest this time , it seems she couldn't fully explain almost anything and that she may have felt rushed or something. 💕
I wonder why? I've never seen Russell behave this way! Count how many times he interrupted her, every thought?
I felt the same from the very start. Russell seem in such hurry that didn't give her enough time to answer questions.
I think it maybe that she was trying to speak to Russell without being interrupted.
What a beautiful woman! Inside out that is... I can completely resonate with her at many levels :) Thank you Russell, great guest!!
Russell is coming off slightly impatient and patronizing in this. Kind of weird.
He’s human and energy is powerful
He challenged her on her intellectually IFFY points of view .
wonder rob iffy is an understatement.
He suffers from manic episodes and here was a classic example of what one looks like....it’s not conscious. It’s unconscious. The ego gets on a roll after clammering for attention vampirically feeding off the pure open energy of the victim/interviewee. She possibly took days to recover! Not judgement, just observation.
@@AllIn1Studio I think she’s tougher than she wants people to believe. When you are in a field like hers you have to protect yourself from trolls and haters.
I had a premonition once! 😮
I was in Turkey. My boyfriend of the time suddenly woke me up & I said "wow! I was just having a dream about a cat with a bashed-up face walking along a brick wall, followed by six kittens, then they all jumped off the wall and started playing around my feet."
Then, in real life, we went out for an evening meal. It was really hot so we sat outside. As we ate, I glanced around the restaurant and I noticed a cat with a bashed-up face sat on the wall. So I said to my then boyfriend "that cat looks just like the cat in my dream." 😁
Then six kittens jumped up onto the wall behind the cat, and followed the mummy cat along the wall towards us. Then, as in the dream, one by one the kittens jumped off of the wall, came over to our table & started playing around my feet.
I was mega confused by the situation, due to the dream, so I looked at my then boyfriend for some kind of support, and he snapped at me angrily "I don't want to talk about it!" Got up, & walked inside.
Then he refused to talk to me for the rest of the holiday.
I dumped him when we got home 😉
Stacey Bing I think you are insane

So affirming to hear someone speak who mirrors some of your own life experiences and beliefs.
We are not alone we are beautiful powerful spiritual beings. We must not judge. Trust your intuition reject fear, believe 🙏🏼💕 These are the things I remind myself of everyday..
Russell Brand, I must say you’ve been such an optimistic and an Illuminating experience in my life the last few weeks. I’ve watched your videos in the past and enjoyed them but only came back to them recently and since became enveloped by your brilliance. I find many similarities between us two and give thanks to the divine timing of it all. I’m happy to say and want you to know, even at this distance, as you make me aware of, life, all life, me, you, are more than meets the eye. I’m so grateful you seek a higher purpose, for it has been a blessing in my life. Therefore, do be certain of your contribution, in a positive way to the world, whether you can accept it or not let it be know. All in all I mean to thank you for your service in this expensive expression that is life, not only as a Guide for those who are seeking but as consciousness seeking itself. I hope and wait for more of your colorful and creative depictions that is life experiencing life.
Also thanks be to the beautiful minds with which you converse.
I said goodbye to my gran (in my mind/intuition) only a week or so before her totally unexpected death .... our eyes said it to each other. No words needed.
On seeing her in the chapel of rest .. I kissed her full on, centre of her forehead, & I literally felt the kiss pass through her empty body.
First proof for me that it was fine to bury her body as 'she' was certainly not inside it any longer - yet ...
I felt that kiss had found her ... wherever she was! 💕💕💕
#Spirituality NOT religion !
Thanks for this ! 🙏🏼
42:25 Fascinating comment about "...the possibility to realize different worlds, using different resources; we don't need to repeat the cycles of linear progress, the teleology of normal social life." I totally grok. Thank you, Mr. Brand.
I agree with her on our bodies crying out, I’m an Empath and I developed Bulemia and Anorexia when my Father fell into a coma and by the time he had passed I had lost over 60 pounds, in only 4 months. Thankfully I no longer suffer from those but Addiction did follow shortly after, after 10 years of Heroin Addiction I am 7 months Sober am focusing all my energy on Energy and Spirituality. Great Podcast!!
way to go dooder!
Love to you ShewwwBeccca
I get 100% what you mean. But, you are not an empath, you were never an addict either. You are the untouched, unborn, the infinite Being of all there is, and nothing at all.
I "am" an empath too, on a physical, limited level. But what you REALLY are, has nothing to do with any single definition, neither past or future thing, or thing at all.
Have some Sadghuru and Mooji, unless you have already and learning to drop the mind identifications "we" are so "addicted" to as humans, until we realize our Beingness.
Bless you, powerful, divine one.
Welcome to the rest of your life lovely!!! The dark days are over. Stay focused on your recovery and keep doing what you have been doing since you went clean. Lots of love to you xx
I love her!!! This is where our planet is going, we are now coming together realizing that there is more to life then this physical world!! I love her take on addiction, any addiction!! It is searching for something higher, something bigger!!!
One person's bad day (Russell Brand) = One person's triumphant day (Theresa Cheung). She handled a difficult situation with grace, especially where she must have had completely different expectations beforehand. It goes to show that if you truly believe in what you are doing, nobody can move you from your path. Good for you Theresa. Maybe an explanation from Russell would help us better understand why he was in such an unusual bullying mood compared to what we are used to seeing in this public forum.
Dude. What happened ? It was really hard to keep listening to you being so disrespectful. I love your poscast, but i this case, you missed a great opportunity to actually learn something. I hope you’re well. That lady was more patient than I’ll ever be.
agree, I feel russell has had this type of reaction to most of his females guests in the past as well.
Absolutely ! I found myself getting quite annoyed as really would like to hear her from the heart ! Maybe he fancies her ha ha !
Love you russ and a big fan of the podcast but i feel as though you were a bit less sensitive this time
Dan Mckay 100%
I think Russel was skeptical, which is fair enough but that pushed him off the sensitivity edge to a slightly cold and defensive place. Perhaps he didn't want anyone to think he promotes "wishy washy" things in the name of being spiritual..but none the less
Probably because she's full of shit
He was awful
His humanity is why I watch him. This moment was meant to be as it was.
That was one of the worst interviews in a long time. You behaved very strangely and disrespectfully.Invite her back, apologize and let us enjoy her knowledge.
"BJ"...You took the words right out of my mouth! Thank you.
Russell, MANIA took hold of you!! Your display was a classic case. You allowed yourself to go to a manic high and couldn’t stop. Your ego running amuck. This poor woman GRACIOUSLY HELD IT TOGETHER whilst you ran roughshod over her. She had valid authentic interesting insights which we could all have benefited from hearing about - in DEPTH. She was attempting to go deeper and share other-realm discoveries to open up sad closed minds - a path which you yourself claim to be on - however, it appears, you cannot and did not show one ounce of respect, even in closing you treated her with a ‘there, there, you sweet blond thing’ when she had been 2 yrs working in a hospice at the bedsides of dying humans - a profundity, a wealth of experience she was willing to impart. But no, Russell you were manically stealing the limelight vampirical ly feeding off her pure energy. It was frightening to witness in fact. (I suffer from manic episodes too and not easy to control once they get a hold). As Beatrix James said you should “invite her back, apologize and let us enjoy her knowledge”.
She had very little to offer.
@Lorraine Fryer Yeah, that's why I said it lol
@@valisaperson It was ONLY because she was barely given a chance to finish anything she was trying to say. She has a prolific body of work and had plenty to say if - Russell had just shut up for two seconds. It’s weird how anyone could miss that.
she was so gracious with your constant interruption and outbursts.. you werent so focused for this one- it was a shame, because I would have loved to hear more of what she had to say.
I guess I'm the one in 7 like her! I'm very intuitive and even have dreams that come true. Everything she said resonated with me! Very sensitive, empath, creative, never wanted to conform to society, very spiritual, connected to loving animals and people. I have been connected to spiritual world and have proof. Everyday people tell me I'm beautiful inside and out, but never been married or have any kids and I just turned 41, but look way younger. I have this "feeling" and know my purpose to be a bridge builder for people. The frequency of the Earth is forever changing and so we are already seeing the result throughout the world. We are all infinite beings and our energy never dies! I love Russell Brand for watching your bravery and transformation you have done. I'm so happy for you and the new world you created full of love, spirituality and healing plus helping spread awareness to what the world is really about and not all the fake distractions in the world. God bless all those who read this and Godspeed your journeys!
Renee Garcia love your comment!!! 😊 I think civil engineering may be your ideal job ,as long as your cosmic bridge is not leading to "fake distractions" like you say she is lovely as she is nice person but she is claiming to know a lot about a subject that is so important to "connecting" and changing the consciousnesses in this world, imagine if generations of hope all clinged to her every word ,she uses facts and other people's experiences,a real psychic can dream without closing there eyes ,speak your truth always and your bridge will be made of that and love, xxx
This was uncomfortable. Russell is usually so curious, open-minded and respectful. I guess he had a bad day as we all do from time to time.
I think he was just being a flirt Sheridan.
Sheridan I agree. I listened to the whole podcast and Russell was patronising condescending and insulting at times. He acted like a snide in that interview. More intrested what he had to say and trting to throw off his guest. She is clearly a sensitive soul . Some of it i think was out of order.I usually enjoy Russell's interviews/ discussions but found this one hard to listen to. Not sure what was up with him.
@@TheCptJackie Aww.......ye olde 'pigtails in the inkwell' game......OK, then. Well done, Russell!
I agree! Russ seemed impatient and condescending. Was not his best at all

I feel she is so beautiful, such a gentle soul, just imaginings what an amazing world we would be living in if everyone was so loving and patient as she is ❤
She looks enlightened, relaxed and stressed out at the same time..
That’s higher awareness.

@@DaisyHaize Being so very empathetic can almost paralyze you. I understand....🌸 that's why, when it passes, kick your inner warrior back in or it'll tap the energy right out of you 🐯💓
I think Russell just stressed her out a bit 😅 this talk was a microcosm of what happens to HSPs when they get out into society
Russell you seemed to regress quite a bit in the interview compared to last week and at times deride Theresa which threw her off a bit.
There is so much to explore in this topic which didn’t get a chance to come through like out-of-body astral travel, dream visitations, what the afterlife has to show and teach us about the evolution of the soul etc etc
Siotara I agree I actually felt uncomfortable for her. This is the only podcast so far I didn’t like because I didn’t like how Russell was being with her. She’s a soft personality and I found at times he was making fun of her and talking over her a lot.
@@MsUltraVibe Definitely. I was reading the comments seeing how many people liked it, but he was acting very disoriented and didn't let her talk. I had been listening to a lot of Russell, really growing to like him, but this podcast is either very unfocused or hyper focused at times....
Last week was the best Wim Hof interview I've listened to, because I feel like he got more out of him than most hosts. This was the opposite, there were so many opportunities for her to expound on super interesting topics, and Russell cut her off with jokes or new questions.
My personal take on this is that Russell internally felt insecure that someone was at a 'higher place' regarding what he appears to be the be all and end all, 'spirituality'. Just the small things like the interruptions, an attempt to bring the conversation onto his own pace. The shit slightly inappropriate jokes at times combined with his tone seemed a tad condescending when I think she's tapped into a certain way of thinking he can't currently match. But none the less it was very interesting and I am being critical
@JD Jones definitely, whenever he has a remarkable female guest on he talks down to them without realising it seems :l
*Looking back, all good decisions were made without even taking a time to analyse why. Those decisions were solid. To trust your intuition's navigation system, raise your self-awareness. Trust your gut feeling and never stop improving.*
Loved this interview but had to skip over the part when he asked what the last clip of animal cruelty she saw was. It seemed like a insensitive question to ask...
This wasn't a great interview mate. It's like you didn't even take what she was saying seriously at all.
Agreed, very cruel. She just said she was a highly sensitive person. Toxic masculinity, right there.
I think Russell makes his mind up v early that his guest can't match / stimulate him intellectually. It's a little uncomfortable to watch and quite out of character. Reminded me of the old RB a touch, who to be fair I still loved, but much prefer the person that has developed over the past 5 years or so. Theresa is a little thrown by it, but recovers well.
It's difficult to talk to someone who isn't very intelligent - about matters concerning the world, consciousness, religion. Russell doesn't possess any academic qualifications as such but is a highly intelligent and knowledgeable person. He is also very kind, compassionate and witty which are oftentimes traits one must acquire throughout life. Theresa Cheung is also seemingly a lovely woman! She unfortunately lacks, however, the ability to discriminate between fact and fiction, which one hardly blames her for; after all her parents were not formally educated either. Travelling mystics. Filling her mind with nonsense. A highly confused woman sadly.
Wow...I thought it was just me. Mr. Brand was, quite frankly, rude to his guest. I really don't understand why he even invited her in the first place. I was very interested in hearing what she had to share for goodness sake. Generally, I get a lot out of his interviews but this one left a lot to be desired. Just sayin'.
@@juntus89 in your opinion..
It’s not out of character at all, he’s just showing who he is! Not cool.
If she went to Cambridge she could easily match him, I think he is often like this he steps back into comedy when he can’t think what to say
Theresa Cheung has wrote the most helpful , detailed and insightful dream book that I have ever read The Element Encyclopedia Of 20,000 Dreams. After using the book for over a decade I finally decided to look her up. Very excited to find interviews and podcasts of her. I would have loved to hear more of her and her finished thoughts, Theresa is solid gold.
Her vision for scientifically validated mediums and psychics and healers is so beautiful! What a wonderful world that would be. You could go see a verified medium rather than a therapist.
It's also validating for people like me who have had a variety of experiences beyond unexplainable, although I can prove some precognition random things, the death of my soulmate, Katrina, etc. It's quite isolating when you have experienced bizarre things beyond even anything you can find on the Internet. I hate telling people a passed on loved one has given me a message for them, but I've found they don't appear unless the person is open to it, & I do like that it can comfort people. Much Love
Best moment “I went on to Piers Morgan”
“How was that?”
“Oh he’s got a closed mind hasn’t he!”
I enjoyed this discussion. Very interesting. I have, as a health professional also sat with many people while they passed away & I have no doubt they were transitioning to somewhere amazing & towards love.
I love you and love how you're bringing all this extraordinary content, however, sometimes you need to get out of the way and let others talk Russell.
I give you the same valuable advice Deborah
@@wonderrob3225 Why are you even reading the comments? Your silly comment makes absolutely no sense. Is Deborah preventing you from talking? Did she interrupt you?
@@kathyannk No , because she is on the internet
@@wonderrob3225 Your second comment makes your first comment even stupider.
@@kathyannk really, how so?
The lady speaks so beautifully and she’s a genuine person, we need more people like her on this planet.
I understand exactly what she is talking about. Something so profound and unimaginable(unexpected) happened in my life in the blink of an eye and now I can't look at life in the same way as I used to look at it. It has become my mission to learn as much as possible and to live in a positive vibration. I have to constantly re center myself when I'm around negative people because of work and such. It's a fine balance to live on earth but know deep down inside that your spirit wants to leave and go into the universe.
Stay in the present as much as possible around negative people but listen,be still and really listen to them you will see ,it will blow your mind then you can learn to live in the heart and from that they will begin to talk just like you 😊
It's like an optical illusion isn't it?
Russell Brand: the ego experiencing itself. He was a guest on his own podcast. Theresa has the patience of a saint.
Russel brand so patronising to Theresa. How his narcissism is so pronounced. She so knows this and handled him really well it just showed him as he really is
Totally understand the Facebook issue with animal cruelty. I can’t bear seeing it. Came off 5 years ago and have much more peace as a result.
Do you still eat animals?
@@craighicksartwork You're assuming a lot there aren't you?
I agree 100% with Theresa about finding the information when we're ready. I'm open & ready to taking on the spiritual lessons & after addiction I'll be honest, I'm convinced i couldn't take on the wisdom being imparted here. Thankyou for sharing your abilities & resources with everyone 🖤🖤🖤
I also can’t watch the news or read cases of animal cruelty. As a criminal defense attorney, the cases I can’t defend are the cases of animal abuse. The other cases are of course hard, but it makes my dizzy with sickness to have anything to do with animal abuse. So I found this interesting to think that might be an indicator of high sensitivity or spiritual seeking. This is true for me, I’m starting to realize.
When I was a small child in the early 80's, my downstairs neighbors were a couple from the Azores and the wife went to a psychic medium who let her record the entire session on cassette. This medium let the spirit of my neighbor's deceased aunt enter her body and she spoke to my neighbor in Portuguese in the exact same tone as her aunt spoke to her as a child. I knew where the medium lived and every time we drove by her apartment, a strange sensation came over me. It wasn't fear, but a feeling that overwhelmed me knowing there was a person in my vicinity that could channel spirits. My sister went to her a few years ago during a very stressful time in her life and showed the medium a photo of a man that was causing my sister the majority of her stress. The psychic told her insanely accurate things about this man such as he had a bad left foot and other details as well. She still practices in my city today and has been successful without having to advertise her services in over thirty years.
Bryan Heil which city and what is her name?
And where or how might we find her? 😊
This is so amazing. I love both of these people so much hearing both of them talk together is so inspirational in pursuing my dreams and living out my life
Very frustrating episode. Normally a big fan of the podcast, but you kept interrupting and ultimately came across as very rude. Really disappointing.
timinno yeah I agree
I feel the woman was very respectful and she said quite a lot. She must be pleased with herself.
You never know whether she has the same view as you or not.
I agree with this comment. I had great difficulty trying to find a state of being so that I could continue to listen to his comments, which were rude. I felt his heart or interest was just not there.
PurpleDoor -issue with someone who interrupts and isn’t on the same level (of interest) on the topic as you. Causes the speaker to speak quickly (she may have been worried he was about to interrupt)
-going on her channel and listen to her material for more in depth fruitful content of her experiences/knowledge is something I’d advice myself.
Exactly.
I think that Theresa is so used to being ridiculed that Russell was actually the perfect interviewer, he was really kind, as he always is. I think that she really enjoyed their chat, in a challenged way, which she very capably rose to 🌹 There was so much love between them...

Russell, I love ya brother, but you interrupt your guests too much! To the point they become uncomfortable. You asked her what she thought of Ayahuasca, then went into a side rant and never really allowed her to respond. Quit stepping all over the discussion. PEACE!
I agree. It was very annoying this time; often he interrupts but this was over the top and bordered on patronising and demeaning. He doesn't need to do that, it undermines him as a host. Love ya usually Russell but I really wanted to hear more uninterrupted answers from this woman.
Agreed
I agree. it was kind've hard to watch after a while.
I am inspired to relate that my intuitive friend, saw my deceased cat on Jesus' lap. As he stroked Percy, a male, (now 'Frisky', a female), he said, " I love all my creatures." I was even told that Percy (Frisky) was going to be visiting me to help me emotionally. I love Russell. He's a genius, and while he claws almost like a cynic, he repeatedly and wisely insists that 'anything is possible'. More is possible than we can begin to imagine.
I truly love you Russell but I don’t think you were kind to this lady.
He was honest with her , that IS a kindness , it doesn't always a look like it, but it is
I've not watched it yet but you have to trust flow
I mean flow is intuition basically
Like with any addition you need to replace one thing with another. Path of least resistance again. If you make a hole something will fill it. Water air. Faiirys passing lions.
It's knowing what you don't want in the hole and finding something that's benificial
Or less damaging maybe a better term. That's the ladder
I love all your interviews. I am so thankful that you are exposing creative and helpful ideas to the world. Thank you for using your platform to help the world. Please interview Resource-Based Economy. It is worthy of sharing. Thank you.
"Wisdom through pain." The best statement in the entire video. Although it all was quite lovely. Peace and love 🌻💚
This is the perfect example of masculine and feminine energy having a battle. It's not even based on their gender it just is the battle we have all in our heads. The rational side and the faith side. Its cringeworthy but it is what goes on in my head at least. We all have both in us! Thank you guys for this.
excellent analysis!
This doesn't make any sense. If anything, women are the rational ones and men are ruled by their egos mostly and are thus just basically emotional messes. But in all seriousness let's stop this men are the brains and women are the emotions. That kind of thinking belongs to the past.
@@hms1609 yes it does phoenix! It's time to rise from the ashes that men have built and build a new inner world working together 🌎🌍
What a beautiful soul, lovely lady and great guest.
I totally relate to this lady. I am also highly sensitive and have psychic abilities. I have never used my abilities for anyone other than myself, and have never made any money from it. I'm a massive animal lover and also can't take the cruelty posts on facebook. It's a very wrong thing to believe that highly sensitive people are weak, it's the reverse, we are very strong. I have done things in life that most people could not have coped with. Animal cruelty often nearly sends me over the edge, but I feel that I have to know about it. Narcissism is rife in this world now. It's horrible, but I think it might be bringing us to a breaking point, and then a shift will happen. I'm probably going to be doing something like writing a book about my experiences / giving talks, so this is very interesting.
Thank you for having her on! VERY interesting! Russell, you were a bit annoying at times.

I watched all the way to the end. It was delightful. The two of you found your interview rhythm eventually.
Hello Russell, I’m listening to this podcast in a cafe in a small city in northern China, where I work as an English teacher. You’ve contributed to my life greatly with your podcasts and books! Much love and gratitude
My favorite interview by Russel and a guest so far. I think the chemistry between Russel and Theresa was great. They were having FUN and playing off of each other and maybe some of the people commenting saw it differently but I LOVED the dynamic and I loved her too. I thought she managed his "enthusiasm" very well. She laughed a lot and I sensed no discomfort. It was fun AND very meaningful.
My daughter has severe anorexia. Could you do more on this subject please. It is a horrible thing when it goes on for years and even after treatment.

First time I've watch one of these to the end. Never heard of Theresa Cheung before, but now I have. Despite the negative comments, I found the interaction between Russell and Theresa very dynamic and colourful.
I just rewatched this because I really love Theresa Cheug, and it was just as brutal and cringeworthy the second time. I’ve never seen a guest on any podcast being treated so badly. I feel genuinely sad for the shallow people on here dissing her. How could anyone miss his cringey behavior here? Or think she deserved it? If you people watched to genuinely learn something, you can blame Russell, not her. She’s got a prolific body of work and she was WAY more interesting than he was - in the brief spurts that she was allowed to talk without his constant *meaningless* interruptions.
He had recently had Wim Hof on, and had done some cold water swimming and Wim Hof breathing. I think it disagreed with him. It’s like his nervous system was temporarily fried.
Highly Empathic Girl ... Russell interupts her because he can't resist ... Narcissists are drawn to Empaths and Empaths feel a connection to all spiritual beings ... even Trees
I can't tell if they're like brother and sister and just understand each others energies or if Russell is being rude
It's like he needs to take a deep breath and center himself.
I agree Russell seem's randomly rude in this one!
this was an amazing interview, i'll look forward to when you have Theresa back again i have learned a lot 💜🦉
Russell - you interrupt people too much. You're welcome.
Toooo much!
I'm glad he asked her to elaborate, personally
Cuteopia x - who asked you? Rude you are.
@@larsolesen6521 I thought he might want to know; I thought it might be helpful. I like Russell, but I cringe when he keeps interrupting people. He must like the sound of his own voice or something.
@@cuteopiax1259 seems he fancies her, it's relentless
A lot of people saying he was disrespectful, I don’t think so, not for a minute. I think being able to have a laugh with someone is as respectful as you can be.
Didn't watch the video until the end. Russell's ego was firmly in the drivers seat on this one. I found it a little cringey.
even finding ego cringy is the workings of ego. Such a funny paradox we live in XD
It’s so nice to hear from someone like her. The cruelty shown online and television really IS too much!! I threw my tv away on account of that.
Dear Russell, Great episode, I enjoyed the interruptions. Best wishes- Clive
Now is it true Clive that you are solely responsible for all of Theresa's hate mail? Good God man!
Haha XD
My cousin Clive was dismissed by Russell as he had thinning hair. Clive is now plotting his revenge in the psychic field ;-)
😂
Hahahaha!
Wow.. amazing interview.. thank you for broadening my mind a little further. 🙏
Russell, I love a lot of your content but brother on this one just many interuptions and as a result the energy feels wrong. Aim for a Bob Harris type vibe (old grey whistle test)...
It's nice to listen to someone who is as sensitive as I am and how hard it is to see pain and suffering and nothing to be done. It's a huge stresser.
Russle , you weren't being rude , if anything only just putting the cast back on track , and giving back and fourth conversation . We are becoming to concerned with offending weve forgotten how to communicate .
Exactly. Russell was trying to help her stay grounded. Most of the audience is upset because they don't want reality they want woo woo magical talk.
Lovely x Thanks What a joy to hear her. I am a lot like her and its hard to fit in sometimes. Nice to know there are kindred spirits out there.
You always have such brilliant guests. I really wish society was more exposed to such interviews.
Therese says "Being spiritual, you don't (necessarily) have to be religious"...absolutely spot on...and that is something that material scientists don't (wish to) understand. She says so much that is true...what a wonderful and wise lady she is.
Russell, why did you come across so differently with this guest? All that doodling and note-taking seemed cautious and lacking in the usual jollity - looked and sounded more defensive than usual;) I still loves ya though!😘
I think he is scared of women.
@@m-bronte Or hates them as a lot of men do but are not fully conscious of it
@@zephyrsky__ I don't think Russell is that sinister and for the record any man who hates women has to remember they were born from a womans_vagina...so they reject a part of themselves essentially.
@@m-bronte he certainly didn't seem phased by candace Owen's, who he interviewed and showed the upmost respect to, even though she and he are diametrically opposed in all beliefs. She is a horrendous human being, with not a shred of compassion or empathy, a raging venture capitalist and proud to be so, she doesnt believe that there is any discrimination towards black people in America, and she doesn't accept that women are discriminated against. All of the subjects that russell would apply empathy and love to, and deal with addicts with compassionate and care, she thinks they should simply get it together themselves. Yet he showed her more respect and common courtesy than this woman, which proves that he is very capable of interviewing women as fairly as he does men. But begs the question why then did he not afford this particular woman the same courtesy.
@@simonenichinneide4059 good point! I revisited both interviews to see the difference. I'm really not sure why? I have two guesses, Russell himself has an aggressive over the top character. Candace Owen also has a strong character essentially matching Russell's. So he therefore had instant respect! Where as Theresa Cheung is a softer kinder character, and I felt like Russell was almost uncomfortable in his own skin in this interview. He was doodling and talking with a passive tone toward her, which came across as disrespectful. I also felt like he was not taking her content and wisdom seriously, and maybe he thought her frivolous. Which really just made him look bad in this interview. He gave Candace 2 hours and he gave Theresa 1 hour, so that in itself says a lot.
Good for her to be speaking her truth 💎💎💎
I connect so much with this guest. A reflection of my own personal experience. I am in pursuit of yoga teacher training, but I want to take it into becoming a Death Doula.
I've been aware of the Institute of Noetic Sciences for over a decade. I find it baffling Russell hasn't heard of it.
Edit: To add, I got through jail and prison with the precise feeling that quoted from Victor Frankel. That time was where I was the most strong I've ever been in my life.
yes,i agree with you.I was surprised Russell had not heard of the Institute of Noetic sciences as well.Good luck with your training as a doula and in yoga.
She knows that the spiritual and the scientific are intertwined.
This guest is completely lovable. Russell teases her almost too much, but he can get away with it.
According to the comments left on this video, no he did not.

Theresa Cheung handled it well, I’m not sure I could have.
@@jessieessex
Agreed, he's a handful this fella!
I actually loved this interactive, what i see is a very well held conversation with an enormous strength from Theresa...she held her own so strongly & gracefully! Russell of course you are looking fabulous as ever, although not so graceful on this occasion =^..^= ; - )))))))) x
This is hard to watch. It's almost like Russel has nothing but contempt for this lady. I don't understand it, she seems really nice
When he says “if someone wants a blessing, I’ll give em a blessing” 😂 same
From the sublime to the ridiculous.
The win hof podcast was the best interview I've seen of wim. You asked (delicately) the question we've all been wondering. Namely. "why are you a bit mental"? But now on to this rising inflection lightweight piffle. Cmon rusty
It may not have been your cup of tea, but isn't it important to explore different narratives respectfully?
Reading the comments one and a half years later... much criticism both ways when this is a fantastic ALIVE conversation between 2 people that know what spontaneity/play is. It covers so much and has some real gems of one-liners to pause and ponder. Thank you for your spirited-ness. Posted - in the increasingly dull and repetitive world of CV doom and gloom...
This podcast ep is amazing - thanks so much Russell! 🦋✨
Russell! I love you!!! I’m so glad you came forward!💖💖💖💖💖 I’m learning so much from your wisdom and humble truth!;)💖💖 Great Guest! i feel like Maybe I’m Just like Her!!💖💖 Thank You!;)💖💖🦋🦋🦋✨✨
Love you Russell, truly, but I found you were a bit overbearing to your guest. We all have things to work on and I appreciate the work you do.
lifepath 333 If you watched his interview with Him Hoff before this interview, you would know he has taken on the breathing exercises and cold therapy. A common side effect of these breathing exercises is sort of a cathartic surfacing of emotions of all kinds which in my opinion possibly explains his mercurial behavior.
@@RyanChann ah, interesting point. I did watch the Him Hoff interview and he was completely different in that one!
@@lifepath3333 because Wim delivered the goods XD
@@RyanChann nah hes just highly strung
46:00 have thought about that and that has gotten me through so many dark times. She is an amazing soul. What a powerful and unexpected podcast. Well done
