It’s because Albanian is not really that wide. It is only spoken by us Albanians and people aren’t really interested on learning it. Anyways greetings from Albania.

Honey, in a world where Albanian is "kinda" similar to German, then Ukrainian is MOST DEFINITELY 100% similar to Russian. Deal with it. We get that Russia is doing horrible things and we're totally on your side, but that's no reason for mental gymnastics when it comes to linguistics. Russian and Ukrainian have been in the same language family (East Slavic) for hundreds of years, and a war won't change that.
as Ukrainian native speaker i can say Ukrainian is more sound like Polish or Belarusian languages.Pls don`t compare Ukraine with russia, they always wanted to cancel Ukrainian language and make russian the main language to all USSR countries.(And erase other cultures languages). This is offensive when someone says Ukrainian sounds like russian or russia is similar with Ukraine.

You can be born and raised in Albania and still have a slight accent depending The region you grew up. To me she spoke really good Albanian of Tosk dialect but of course with some English here and there because she was translating his questions and answering in Albanian at the same time.
The Albanian girl didn't give to him even one useful hint, she said albanian is similar to german which is not true, she doesn't know any popular food in Albania and she said Albania is kind of after Germany but this countries are very far geographically.
Not very far in the international context. African countries and Asian countries are way bigger and would encompass both of these countries easily. Remember she is talking to a Korean person here. Happy to see My Albania here❤ btw I'm Albanian, I speak Italian , Albanian, English, Chinese and Spanish ❤ I grew up in Italy, and I study languages .
I find it incredibly funny to have people from different culture interact, so much is based on interpretation.
He was talking about "communist country" when he should have used the expression "former-communist country or post-communist country". He got really confused because of it
That guy looking for a communist country in the Europe was the funniest thing. "East Europe and no communist country?" 🤣
Facepalm moment.
Belarus is maybe at 10% communist country.
For real. But welllll, Ukraine was and is still the most hateful country to communism, and makes sense why: Holodomor, The Executed Renaissance, etc
Honestly I find it almost insulting, imagine asking if your country is N#zi. But he's just ignorant so I guess it's fine.
I started watching your videos because you finally have Ukraine there 😊 thank you ❤
The Albanian girl is struggling with grammar a little bit. She sounds like she's from Shkodra or somewhere around there in North Western Albania.
Nah, she’s most likely southern. It’s just that Albanian is her second language.
It sounded more like Arbëresh to me.
She is half german and half albanian
Yeah she has slight problems with the grammar but I would still say she is quiet fluent.
Я прийшла сюди, подивитись на нашу україночку☺️
Я теж. приємно
So proud of myself. I am smart enough to tell whether a language is a Romance, Germanic, or Slavic language, so when Latvian and Albanian came, it really threw me off, but I knew it had to be one of the smaller language families in Europe.
It’s because Albanian is not really that wide. It is only spoken by us Albanians and people aren’t really interested on learning it. Anyways greetings from Albania.
As a slavic speaker i could understand some latvian and it made me confused because i never heard such a slavic language. Then i remembered that baltic and slavic language are related and figured it may not be slavic but a baltic language. It sounds like a mixture of germanic and slavic to me.
The Baltic languages does not sound like our germanic languages at all.

Asking how to say 1-10 in your language is one of the best way to guess what language is, you may not know what exact language is, but it may give you some idea of what the language family, group this language belongs to. Also, you can ask how to say family member (father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, etc), natural phenomenon (wind, rain, storm, snow..), common animals and plants, listen to the pronunciation of the language because some languages have unique sounds
I think "hello" or "thank you" would be easier.
En la lengua Euskera/Vasca (norte de España), nunca adivinaría.
Uno (1) = bat
Dos (2) = bi
Tres (3) = hiru
Cuatro (4) = lau
Cinco (5) = bost
Seis (6) = sei
Siete (7) = zazpi
Ocho (8) = zortzi
Nueve (9) = bederatzi

That guy thinks in east Europe exists only Croatia and Russia. I guess he doesn’t even know that there is a war in Ukraine.

Çfarë po bën-What are u doing
Si je-How are you
Po-yes
No-Jo
Ndoshta-Maybe
Jam shqiptar-I am albanian
Unë e dua Shqipërinë,Kosovën-I love Albanian,Kosovo.
Ditën e mirë-Goodbye
Tung-Bye
Love from KOSOVO,ALBANIA🇽🇰🇦🇱
Tung is just a slang word Albanians from Dardania use. If we actually look up in the dictionary it is absolutely wrong. Tung makes no sense. Because it is chopped off from the word Tungjatjeta which is a greeting that means “Hello” but it’s more of a formal way of saying Hello rather than say “Çkemi”. Not saying that you are wrong for using it but to say Bye you could say “Pafshim” a shorten version of the full word “Mirupafshim” which means exactly “Goodbye”. Të përshëndes nga Shqipëria.
@@valley6824tung is a form of tungjatjeta but tungjatjeta doesnt mean hello but a long life wishing

No. Jo mean no. Po mean yes..
I would've never expected to see a galician person representing spain in one of these videos, and even less talking in galician. That was surprising in a great way obviously
And if he went to Latin America, he is automatically a Spaniard. A "gallego" means a Spaniard. 😄
@@JosephOccenoBFH I didn’t think that was actually a thing, I know it comes from the great amount of immigrants from Galicia that went to Latin America but I thought it wasn’t really a thing

Ukrainian is not similar to russian. if we take proximity to other languages, then this is Polish.
They are all Slavic languages, even Czech sounds a bit Russian to me. (Same language tree.)
@@reineh3477Well, Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Czech and Slovak are more similar to each other than to Russian, because Russian language has many influences from Turkic, Finno-Ugric and Mongolian languages.
Ukraine Russia same country
Russia Shit same thing
Honey, in a world where Albanian is "kinda" similar to German, then Ukrainian is MOST DEFINITELY 100% similar to Russian. Deal with it. We get that Russia is doing horrible things and we're totally on your side, but that's no reason for mental gymnastics when it comes to linguistics. Russian and Ukrainian have been in the same language family (East Slavic) for hundreds of years, and a war won't change that.
Awww thankyou for including my country 🇦🇱
how to say no on your country "nee"
korean "wHaT?!"
that must be so fricking confusing
as Ukrainian native speaker i can say Ukrainian is more sound like Polish or Belarusian languages.Pls don`t compare Ukraine with russia, they always wanted to cancel Ukrainian language and make russian the main language to all USSR countries.(And erase other cultures languages). This is offensive when someone says Ukrainian sounds like russian or russia is similar with Ukraine.
So proud that he met an Albanian girl
Albanian is in the southeastern and it’s not similar to German.
Yes and she said from East Europe... girl did you know the map of Europe? THe Greece is more in east then Albania for example and you never consider Greece is in east europe. Dishes and food she said "meat"... a u serious?!
XD the confusion with korean and some european countries with the word "nei". it means "no", but
in korean, it's "yes".
As a Bulgarian, I wonder if he would be able to make the difference between Bulgarian and Russian, just as he's having hard time separating Ukrainian from Russian, which for me is a piece of cake, but I would laugh at myself trying to make the difference between Taiwanian, Indonesian, and.. other Asian languages. I recognise Japanese, Chinese, and, last, but no least-S. Korean.
Super show❤
I think he was thinking of Bulgaria when he asked if the country is known for yoghurt. IDK.

As for armenian guesing an albanian was pretty easy for me, because it sounded like armenian barbar that i just did not understand at all ^)
The girl speaks broken Albanian.. it sounds like she may have left Albania when she was very small or possibly born in another country to Albanian parents.. sounded kind of weird but you could understand what she was saying
Perse? Te lutem per nje shpjegim.
You can be born and raised in Albania and still have a slight accent depending The region you grew up. To me she spoke really good Albanian of Tosk dialect but of course with some English here and there because she was translating his questions and answering in Albanian at the same time.
He didn't get them all correct but he is an intelligent person.
Thanks for including my country Albania❤️
The Albanian girl didn't give to him even one useful hint, she said albanian is similar to german which is not true, she doesn't know any popular food in Albania and she said Albania is kind of after Germany but this countries are very far geographically.
Not very far in the international context. African countries and Asian countries are way bigger and would encompass both of these countries easily. Remember she is talking to a Korean person here. A 1 and 1/2 hour flight is not far at all if you compare to the distances in the US, Canada, Australia, Algeria, etc.
the Albanian girl looks so much like my Albanian aunt, like literally shorter twin

Celta de Vigo .. Just thinking 🤔 I read many Celts settled in Galicia a few centuries back which explains why sone of them have blonde or red hair. The even play bagpipes in Galicia. 😄
I've been many times to Galicia. It's a beautiful part of the world. It's true they claim very vocally their "Celtic" heritage, but they do not look alike at all. E.g. I've been both to Ireland and Galicia and the people look soooooo different. The guy in the video though is a perfect example of how Galicians look like "in general": dark hair and southern European features (Galicia is southern Europe)
@@KrlKngMrtssn I make reference from my Spanish teacher who is from Galicia and had red hair. I asked her about that and she said, " .. well because I'm from Galicia." But yes you're right; I notice a lot of the stock still retain the dark Latin features.

Fun fact: Albanian is one of the most hardest languages to learn, simply because it's different from other languages and because it has 3 dialects, which are Gheg and Tosk,
The girl in the video was speaking the Tosk, and Tosk can be found in Albania. Meanwhile, Gheg can be found in the north Albania and Kosovo
