- What’s the difference between “I have been working” and “I had been working”? In this English class, we will compare the PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS tense and the PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS tense. After watching, you won’t be confused ever again on when you should use each of these tenses. We’ll review when to use each tense, how to form them, and what common mistakes to avoid. We’ll also do practice exercises together, so you can be correct and confident when speaking and writing in English. Past perfect refers to a specific time which occurred in the past.
Past perfect continuous refers to a time period between two past events.
