Please please please do more real circuits on actual race tracks. Street circuits are cool every now and then but they’re all the same and they mask actual passes because it’s way easier to just force yourself inside and smash the other car into the wall.

It also makes me wonder what locations are in that early planning and will make appearances come season 9 and beyond. I'd love to see a "day in the life" explained regarding the drivers. What does a race weekend look like to a driver? I hope there will an explained video for when the Gen 3 cars come out too.

I used to be a Indycar fan and an F1 fan but when I came across Formula e it changed my whole perspective on racing. Like attack mode that was really cool in my opinion and adds lots of potential overtaking The only thing that worries me is my height Since im 6 ft 4
I'm particularly interested in race track design so I REALLY appreciate you making this video, it covers the whole process in detail by interviewing people directly involved, I LOVE IT! In fact I love it so much that I want more! A series of videos focused on specific track components might be good, like kerbs, starting grid and various lines involved, paddock area etc. Or maybe videos about particular tracks that explain in detail the decisions behind each corner/section and showcase the unique challenges FE faced while designing that circuit.

Love it :) I have another suggestion: I would love to learn more about the people who check all the cars to make sure that they are legal and I would love to know a bit more on the race direction and stewards processes. You know, all the people who make sure that the sport is safe and fair. Maybe even a glimpse in the process of rule-writing and -amending could fit in.

Absolutely love the fact formula E is helping the audience understand everything behind the scenes and why things are done certain ways. It has got me massively into formula E because I actually understand it and these videos are great keep it up 👍 Would love formula E to do travel packages abroad to there events like flights, transfers, hotel and ticket included obviously as I have already asked and they don't currently.
I just don't understand why you make the tracks and especially the chicanes unnecessarily tight. Like the one on the main straight at Valencia. Why make them so Mickey Mouse? Make them like the Monaco pool chicane where they're fast and delicate. Not clunky and awkward. It hampers racing.
Given the energy limit for the races, it's better to have tracks with a low average speed, that enables the saving percentage (the amount of energy you have to save in the race versus the energy it takes to do a flat out lap) to be lower. Tracks like Marrakech have several straights which make the average speed high, which translates into early coast phases for the races compared to other tracks. These low speed corners help lower the lap consumption (by reducing aerodynamic drag). And as the cars have no gear and instant torque, they go around those corners much better than most other race cars would.
Those are super efficient and use biofuels. The emissions generated by them are much lower than what you get from car emissions in more usual motorsport series.
@@Sweaty__Sheep It depends on how they are produced. But FE carries an extensive emission study throughout the season and they make continuous improvements to limit their impact. The biofuels used are glycerine based and carbon-neutral.
The cobblestone department at 15:50ish. Is the cobblestone in a straight line or in a corner? Because if it is in a straight line, is it possible to keep it? See it as a local difficulty for the drivers? Or is the FIA straight out a 'no' on that? Sure it will be slippery, but the slight bumpiness wouldn't damage the drivers/cars too much?
All this is really impressive but it’s also why I don’t like formula e. I don’t like city tracks for any circuit racing events. If the races were on actual tracks I’d be all in
