Those windows look great. I know that it is experimental but you could always come back and reseal it with something and use little screws. He had a good rite to be hesitant. That old boat just looks so smashing . Great job you two!
You guys are doing an amazing job on the fishing boat ⛵⛵⛵,where ever do you get your ideas from.i think that when you eventually finished that mega refurbished of the big 🚢🚢 you should write a book ,called Our lives and achievements before Sarinda.its would be sad just to have videos of all you have done. Regards from Hereford
Loved seeing David's update on your project on his Cruising The Cut channel. Brings great perspective to just how MUCH you have accomplished. Well done.
"Oh, we're not professionals, so it might not be perfect..." **proceeds to build a little runabout that would give any modern production boat's QC a run for it's money** Seriously! That little boat looks fantastic, and the windows are just the icing on the cake!
Have the window tint bloke put a clear film on the outside of the polycarbon then it can be replaced or you 2 could do it. I love the boat guys wish it was mine.
The boat looks very nice indeed! Pete of '1 4 U Windscreens' was very kind to allow you to film as well as take on the challenge of tinting and bonding the windows. Your findings from this little test will prove invaluable to others and hopefully, open up new revenue avenues for Pete because people who are willing to try and experiment deserve success. Simon and Gemma notwithstanding!
It finally hit me why I liked that hull shape so much. At 0:31 you get a nice side view. It looks just like my 2007 Honda Ridgeline! It's the same shape! This would look fantastic towed behind one!
i used to fit the rubber joint by curling it into a baby burco boiler and bring into the boil , start at the transom then quickly stretch it to the bow and g clamp it pull down on the opposite ending at the transom and clamoing , let cool down the screw fom benetg the rubber into the joint, great fun!!
The Captains Tender for the Yacht is looking Great! Nice addition for your continued progress on the Project! Love Y'all! May you have continued Blessings in your Lives. Stay Free, keep sharing your Love, and Enjoy! Thank you for your diligence and sharing yourselves with others.
Hi guys. Your fishing boat looks incredibly cool after your update, nice color and the windows were spot on, you guys are incredible at designing, I hope you learn how to fish from the boat . Hi Hi 😁
We all know that you make most of your income comes from doing van interiors and that you bring these skills over to your boat projects. I would love to see one of your Van projects to see a comparison to what you are doing boat wise.
I think you should mount your horn on the roof of the cabin (one side or the other) or on the bow deck (centered). The windows are absolutely superlative!!! My thought on the trailer - the light gray material for the frame and the dark gray material for the fenders with chrome wheels and new wide tires. SWEET!
It needs sharks mouth like the P51 Mustang fighter plane. This boat looks great. I wish I'd chosen to go with the Rhino Lining like I wanted to. Got talked out of it and now I have lifted paint.
Changing the shape of the windows slightly really modernized/improved the look. You should tint the windshield too, even if its just a lighter smoke tint.
Its coming on well , see so many old neglected boats like this littering boat yards and this can only inspire people to claim them and do them up as a cheap way of getting on to the water👌👌 .
Looking really good. I love the tint , it gives the boat a totally new look. Installing some black pin striping would make it pop even more. Good luck 🇺🇸👍
You could ask Pete about mirror tint on the outside of the windows to reflect more of the light and protect the polly carb for longer, and look cool to.
The helm windscreen looks a bit plain compared to the tinted cabin windows. Maybe a lighter colored tint to offset. The accessories will make her a gem.
Gemma- I have irritable bowel and road trip with a little porta potty in the back seat of my truck, which has tinted windows. Sometimes speed is of the essence 😂! Anyway, I recommend the heavy trash/bin bags that are designed for trash compactors and a few scoops of kitty litter to keep things sweet untill it can be emptied! I usee the same method when camping with little kids, and it's never failed!
If you have not already, consider putting PPF on the windows. Polycarbonate is great. But it scratches pretty easy as well as potentially yellows over times. A good PPF will prevent that.
SWEET looking ! Reminds me of 007 James Bond boat , where's the rocket launcher going ? Are you Paining the outboard also ? On the seats remember black gets HOT and White reflects but Gray would be nice ! Isolate the speakers on the stereo so it don't scare the fish away ! lol. Are you going to put a Bimini top on her ? A cool name would be nice like " Lancelot 1 " or " Black Pearl " or " She made me do it " lol. I like " Mind Your Own Bobber " .
Hi guys, wow the boat looks just fantastic. Just love the way you work together. I can see the love you have for each other and the passion you have for whatever you do together. Love and appreciate you both. Keep up the good work Cliff from Logan city Queensland Australia from the big island.
That looks AWESOME. Nice work. This boat makes me think of the cartoon Spy vs Spy from years ago. Your new 007 Fishing Boat. If you don't catch too many big fish, you will definitely get lotsa Looks. Good Luck in the Derby.
hi gemma and simon and the kids gemma your scarf joint using a simple tape measure was brill you are all doing a great job of restoring sarinda and i wish i could help you but because i live in fleetwood i cant afford the trip but enough about me keep going with your head down looking forward to the next exciting episode.
If you are using the boat for fishing you will spend 90% of your time anchored. Your anchor rope has to come off the pointy end, because you fish off the flat end. I know it looks cool, with the clean lines of a Miami drug runner, but you'll have to add all the fore-deck hardware to be able to anchor safely, bow rails, bow roller, anchor cleat, cabin roof grab rails.
@@ShipHappensUK That's going to hurt. New prices are astronomical and people usually have a good reason for selling any you see advertised second hand! Good luck. Hopefully a viewer has got one they don't need 😁
Tbh... I would have LOVED the inverse paint scheme: grey bottom, high gloss black top. That way, the glass would've been part of the color scheme. Finish with cognac leather upholstery on the cushions, would've been SICK. Still love watching this project, would love to get onto doing something like this myself
Gemma, don't cut the air off at the end of your strokes, just release the trigger enough to stop the paint flow. This will stop you from getting spatter from buildup when you squeeze the trigger again. CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) is a great tool! Is that polycarbonate or Perspex? 4mm poly is quite thick but I would be wary of 4mm Perspex for the front windows in particular, I'd want 6mm in Perspex just in case you take one over the bow. If it's actual poly then 4mm is plenty as it doesn't shatter. I wouldn't be worried about the bonding or the lifespan oh and BTW, if it IS polycarbonate then it will be bulletproof to at least .22s and birdshot, the stuff is incredibly strong, much stronger than Perspex. The boat looks amazing, it looks like a new build and you have done an amazing job.
The little storage box in the steering area might be better with a way for water to drain out. A bottom shelf with scuppers ? Might be fine but any water in won't get out from what can be seen of current console design.
I find using a belt sander to get essential shape and then progressively finer sand paper on the edges up to 600 grit. At that point you can use a prone torch to flash the edges. If done correctly it will turn edges clear.
I would much rather have that boat than these trailer queen bass boats that are sold over here in the states! You've got the piss pot/face washing bowl but you need the gun turret! Even if it's just a watergun with a pump plumbed into it! Well done my friends! 👍
Good job on the windows, Love your vlogs. Dumb question. On the uprights of your windscreen tubes, are there caps on the top or a small drain hole at the bottom of each one. Not clear in the videos. Rain or salt water could accumulate and ruin your fishing rod handles when fitted. As I said, dumb question. Great job on all your projects. Watching from NZ.
Those windows look great. I know that it is experimental but you could always come back and reseal it with something and use little screws. He had a good rite to be hesitant. That old boat just looks so smashing . Great job you two!

Looks like a bad guy boat from a James Bond movie I love it.
007 boat! Great job! Amazing transformation!!
I was thinking the same thing. Q "BOND do try too bring it back in one piece "😂
Loved seeing David's update on your project on his Cruising The Cut channel. Brings great perspective to just how MUCH you have accomplished. Well done.
"Oh, we're not professionals, so it might not be perfect..." **proceeds to build a little runabout that would give any modern production boat's QC a run for it's money**
Seriously! That little boat looks fantastic, and the windows are just the icing on the cake!
Looks like the little boat is wearing sunglasses, very James Bond ❤
The tinted front windows make it look like a little private plane. Neat!
Have the window tint bloke put a clear film on the outside of the polycarbon then it can be replaced or you 2 could do it.
I love the boat guys wish it was mine.

Always a good feeling when a plan comes together, and it looks good,
It finally hit me why I liked that hull shape so much. At 0:31 you get a nice side view. It looks just like my 2007 Honda Ridgeline! It's the same shape! This would look fantastic towed behind one!
You Two are so Clever and You work so well Together. I watch all of Your Videos...Amazing Stuff.
Glad you like them!
It looks like a little James Bond boat with special weapons and some other Bond toys, haha.
PS Your smiles and Attitudes are Infectious! Don't ever Stop.

That is stunning! Well done to you and the company that did the bonding👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌

PETE! What a craftsman. Looks like your boat wears shades, even at night.
I love your CAD work on the boat. (CAD = cardboard-aided design)
The boat is looking good. Well done.
I adore you two. Thank you for sharing your journey ❤️
I agree!
That looks absolutely breathtaking! The colours and glass make that boat sleek, stealthy and militaristic. If that was your aim, You nailed it!
There is going to be one heck of a reflection from those windowns on a sunny day.
That looks seriously good.

I appreciate all of the hard work to apply the tint. it takes a lot to refurbish a boat and make it your own. Great job.
Changing the shape of the windows slightly really modernized/improved the look. You should tint the windshield too, even if its just a lighter smoke tint.
Black Windows are THE BOMB!! They look just GREAT!!
Its coming on well , see so many old neglected boats like this littering boat yards and this can only inspire people to claim them and do them up as a cheap way of getting on to the water👌👌 .

"A boat with it's sunglasses on" lol ---- looks great!
It’s good to see you are using CAD for your templates. That’s Cardboard Aided Design.
The windows look really good, it will be interesting to see how they hold up over the fishing year. But I think you might have started a trend.
I hope you win the fishing tournament but, you'll certainly win best looking boat.
You guys are so clever! Your fan in Istanbul.
Looking good…….so go win the fishing contest………👍👍👍👍⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️🎏🎏🎏🎏🎣🎣🎣🎣

Fabulous. Very clever. Well done
Love the look of the boat. You guys did an amazing job.
Windows look awesome !👍
So classy but i should have known , you two do top notch work . Well done..
Awesome job absolutely perfect looks like a boat James Bond would drive!!
You have done a great job restoring the old compact cruiser.
Looking absolutely awesome. Really 21st Century. Love it.
Thanks so much!

I really enjoy how you both interact with each other, Fantastic job so far.
Looks great, but I wanted to see the view through the windows from the inside! 😂
Sorry Victor I totally forgot!
Looks brilliant! Good job Simon and Gemma!👍
How good do those windows look! Great job. 👍

Wow! Like a black metal boat 🖤🤘🏻
It looks like a completely different boat. Pete what a top bloke, most people would just take your money and keep quiet
Pete is a diamond

Fishing Boat looks great! You're doing a stellar job.
Thanks 👍
They wanna sell, you wanna show, we wanna see. Best merchandising!

Might be fine but any water in won't get out from what can be seen of current console design.
The tender looking stellar!
Great transformation once the windows were fitted
The boat is really looking good great job guys.
My Mum made curtains for the windows on my Parents boat. But then we didn't have window tints in those days. Proper job.
Looks like 007 boat , brilliant 👌
I find using a belt sander to get essential shape and then progressively finer sand paper on the edges up to 600 grit. At that point you can use a prone torch to flash the edges. If done correctly it will turn edges clear.

That's a lot of trouble to go to for Gemma's modesty when all you need are some curtains. A bit of gingham I think would be in keeping.😉
Hee hee, that's so true! But it looks like AGENT SH-double Eye TEA!
Stylish guys...superboatish!
That think looks awesome! Nice work!
Thanks 👍
Tip, cut Poly Carbonate with a carpet knife and a metal ruler ... super strait edges.
What a positive result Very Very nice
Looks like a 007 boat. Nice work.
It's a Marina M17 Cruiser.
put a smiley face on the bow. It would look great
looks awesome. Check at night though to see if the tint still blocks the view of people looking in
A boat with a cool pair of shades.
looks great !
Thank you! Cheers!
Good looking boat! You guys do good work.
007 eat your heart out.
Even James Bond didn't have a loo with tinted windows. 😂
looks really nice. how strong is that bond. I wonder how long it will cope with salt water and jarring into the sea.
The windows are bonded in the same way as vehicle windscreens so should be up to the job! Actually we used more glue than the standard truck window!
James Bond - style windows! Cool...
😅make sure you fit your rowlocks just in case, absolutely love your videos outstanding end results
You have just got to make this Sarinda's new tender :-)
Couldn't you have fitted smoked Polycarbonate to save tinting effort? Great result btw.
Looking marvelous guys ✌
Thank you so much 😀
Super! Thanks guys.
Our pleasure!
