I’ve never donated money to any politician before but after learning more about Andrew Yang and listening to his ideas I think he is the real deal. I donated $100 to his campaign and I’m a proud member of the YangGang! I’m conservative and I don’t care if he is a Democrat. Honestly, probably very similar to a debate between Trump and Cruz. Cruz is incredibly smart (this isn't contentious, he was at the top of his class at Harvard Law), and was also like a world champion (formal) debater I think. Trump clobbered him because quite frankly, Cruz isn't as dominant a personality as Trump, and neither is Yang.

Absolutely. I come from a lower middle class family and I'm in my early 20's. My plans have fallen through after college so naturally I drive a shit box and still live at home. But I got a better job (pay is still mediocre but closer to home) and UBI would unfuck me big time. Not only would it give me the confidence to want to work harder because I know my long term goals like moving out and buying a better and more dependable car would be met quickly, but I would have cushion when I'm out on my own and I wouldn't be having to worry about living expenses too often when I do save up enough.

@RJ mi I really like him (he can talk the talk) but I really wish he had political experience so we could know for sure that he walks the walk. It does help that he's doing his own UBI pilot program with a family and that he's helped train young entrepreneurs... but I don't know for sure that he can handle the peer pressure of DC. J Nap Yes. The idea of the $1000 is to work on eradicating poverty. By reducing poverty, more wealth is created. By reducing poverty, you then save billions of poverty/homeless aid. This is just one possible outlet of where that money’s going to come from. The basic gist is that if you invest in your people, you tend to get far more out of them - it’s a tried and true approach that’s utilised by companies everywhere. Also, that money will mostly get reinvested into the economy anyway. There are far more ways for the money to get reinvested back into the economy than it is to be spent extremely poorly and destroyed. Watch his podcast interview with Joe Rogan; he goes into a whole lot more detail there.

We need him to win in the Primaries. In "closed primary" states, people can only vote in the primary if they are registered with that party (you can always change back later) Please check the regulations in your state to make sure you are able to vote for Andrew in the Dem Primary Election. Also get the date as they vary by state.

Eirik ^.^ from VAT (value added tax), which the overwhelming majority of countries in the world have (or something similar). There’s no where for these corporations to run when all of the other countries (including all of Europe) have VAT too.
As a former tv show producer, I find this interview, with the addition of food, to be excellently produced. Eating and talking about any topic has its challenges. A great finalized video can only be accomplished with great editing. And this episode does that. Congrats.

I've been watching/listening to, a lot of interviews with Yang lately. I think he's setting really attainable goals that'll have big positive effects on a lot of micro and macro problems in the USA. He had a really long interview with Joe Rogan, and explains his ideas really well. I really think he may be my favourite to win. We'll see! Yang 2020? most of the dem candidates right now are likely rocking 125-135 IQs - about what you'd expect for an accomplished law school grad, which many of them are. yang, as a successful entrepreneur in hyper-competitive fields like healthcare and test prep, is probably in the 145+ range. just estimates but yeah, i suspect he's the smartest candidate running by some margin.

Charlie Keiner The issue with Obama was that he never had a solid platform, just platitudes. He never impressed me personally. He’s only similar to Andrew in that he was the most “techie” of the candidates, which made him big with the memers and was pretty interesting to see at the time. Meme culture is pretty politically neutral for the most part. The same memers that voted in Obama, then voted in Trump. It seems like they’ve taken a liking to Andrew, which is always free publicity for appealing to the younger crowd. Also, the economy is only great now because human employees are getting kicked out in place of robots. That’s his whole point. There’s no point in creating new jobs if those jobs will be gone in less than a decade anyway. It’s the same reason I don’t support a $15 minimum wage. At least Andrew is the one candidate who’s actually thinking outside the box on these issues for now. Even Ben Shapiro agrees with his ideas. Where he disagrees with Andrew is if UBI is necessary right now; he thinks we don’t need it yet, but he’s not against implementing it in the future.
I don't know how much support he will get, specifically by the current establishment, but Andrew Yang is certainly inspirational. I'd love to hear more from him and his ideas

Pay for it with a VAT on everything except food. Now his changes are part of the cost. The biggest problem is the Nancy Pelosi problem. We all know how the ACA went. The ACA cost when to pay for it was to force the middle class Americans to pay insurance premiums to 12,000 to 15,000 dollars about 30% of their income. While millionaires are congressional people got their insurance premiums paid for thru subsidies.

Honestly, probably very similar to a debate between Trump and Cruz. Cruz is incredibly smart (this isn't contentious, he was at the top of his class at Harvard Law), and was also like a world champion (formal) debater I think. Trump clobbered him because quite frankly, Cruz isn't as dominant a personality as Trump, and neither is Yang.

Absolutely. I come from a lower middle class family and I'm in my early 20's. My plans have fallen through after college so naturally I drive a shit box and still live at home. But I got a better job (pay is still mediocre but closer to home) and UBI would unfuck me big time. Not only would it give me the confidence to want to work harder because I know my long term goals like moving out and buying a better and more dependable car would be met quickly, but I would have cushion when I'm out on my own and I wouldn't be having to worry about living expenses too often when I do save up enough.

It does help that he's doing his own UBI pilot program with a family and that he's helped train young entrepreneurs... but I don't know for sure that he can handle the peer pressure of DC. J Nap Yes. The idea of the $1000 is to work on eradicating poverty. By reducing poverty, more wealth is created. By reducing poverty, you then save billions of poverty/homeless aid. This is just one possible outlet of where that money’s going to come from. The basic gist is that if you invest in your people, you tend to get far more out of them - it’s a tried and true approach that’s utilised by companies everywhere. Also, that money will mostly get reinvested into the economy anyway. There are far more ways for the money to get reinvested back into the economy than it is to be spent extremely poorly and destroyed.

As a former tv show producer, I find this interview, with the addition of food, to be excellently produced. Eating and talking about any topic has its challenges. A great finalized video can only be accomplished with great editing. And this episode does that. Congrats.

Michael Evans background checks already exist and you can’t do background checks on private sales unless you have a national gun registry which isn’t going to happen. I've been watching/listening to, a lot of interviews with Yang lately. I think he's setting really attainable goals that'll have big positive effects on a lot of micro and macro problems in the USA. He had a really long interview with Joe Rogan, and explains his ideas really well. I really think he may be my favourite to win. We'll see! Yang 2020?

Meme culture is pretty politically neutral for the most part. The same memers that voted in Obama, then voted in Trump. It seems like they’ve taken a liking to Andrew, which is always free publicity for appealing to the younger crowd.
Also, the economy is only great now because human employees are getting kicked out in place of robots. That’s his whole point. There’s no point in creating new jobs if those jobs will be gone in less than a decade anyway. It’s the same reason I don’t support a $15 minimum wage. At least Andrew is the one candidate who’s actually thinking outside the box on these issues for now. Even Ben Shapiro agrees with his ideas. Where he disagrees with Andrew is if UBI is necessary right now; he thinks we don’t need it yet, but he’s not against implementing it in the future.
I don't know how much support he will get, specifically by the current establishment, but Andrew Yang is certainly inspirational. I'd love to hear more from him and his ideas
if you do your research, yang is 9999999 times more prepared and knows what he is doing, compared to Trumps statistics, yang is way more prepared and humble than Trump

Then we can more than afford to pay for American Citizens basic necessities... He even has a clear plan as to pay for it. Read his book if you're still confused.
@@troypropes1182 I read his book, his original plan was to give everyone from 18 to 64. Pay for it through changes in welfare and social security programs. Pay for it with a VAT on everything except food. Now his changes are part of the cost. The biggest problem is the Nancy Pelosi problem. We all know how the ACA went. The ACA cost when to pay for it was to force the middle class Americans to pay insurance premiums to 12,000 to 15,000 dollars about 30% of their income. While millionaires are congressional people got their insurance premiums paid for thru subsidies.

In the beginning, people were upset because UBI didn't stack on SS, but then he listened to criticism, changed it; and now he's winning over the retired baby boomers... Adaptability is key!

Do your homework before you speak boy. He has years of working in the tech industry and understands the advancement if it displacing millions of people without jobs. Look at how many jobs that its replaced with banks and grocery stores. He is trying to get ahead of the curb as opposed to doing nothing. Elimination of income tax is the best thing you can do because rich pay almost 0% income tax due to loopholes.
Well mostly 15% along with extreme poor paying at most 15%.

Andrew gets 92% of his funding from non-rich people, with average donations of $19, so he doesn't need to heavily rely on rich people for their money -- so that the non-rich can finally get their concerns met, STARTING WITH FINANCIAL INSECURITY (which is addressed by his implementation of Universal Basic Income, The Freedom Dividend).
I love that Yang gives credit where credit is due. You have to appreciate a dude that can hear someone else's good idea and give it life.
