I think Chadwick Boseman is one of the most under-recognized actors working today. I think Denzel knows it. He’s been turning out Academy Award worth performances for years with zero recognition. He should have been nominated for the James Brown biopic. But let’s not start down that road of shoulds... this was a lovely tribute.
soapnorm it’s not about awards. Chadwick first and foremost is a working actor. I’d take being a working actor over any award any day. Most actors aren’t even working actors. On top of that this man is playing in huge biopics AND got a major role in a the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE?????? This man has struck diamonds
lol "Under-recognized actors," is a reach because people recognized Chadwick before Black Panther. He was great in "42," "Get on up," and "Marshall." Just because he wasn't nominated for any of his performances doesn't mean he got "zero recognition." Hahaa
mali mall great point. I should have been more specific about recognition from the motion picture establishment. He certainly doesn’t need that to prove anything or be validated. Actually the academy should be proving to *him* that they are capable of honoring his talent!
I read somewhere that Chadwick Bozeman was grateful to be able to publicly thank and honor Denzel before he left us. Such an amazing man gone too soon.
Temitope Shittu I put him on the map, and made him a rising star. The movie itself, is just really choppy and the story structure is all over the place. I get that they where trying to break the formula of bio pics. But the execution of that idea falls flat. But like I said, Chadwick himself was great. The movie just didn’t work unfortunately
"An offering from a sage and a king is more than silver and gold; it is a seed of hope, a bud of faith. There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington." Powerful stuff. RIP Chadwick.
Seeing tears come into the eyes of Mr. Washington when Chadwick says there is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington. Can watch that moment a thousand times.
That little mannerism Mr Washington did at 2:27-2:28, after having also stood up, leads me to believe that he sees something in Mr Boseman that he doesn't see in the others. Time shall tell.
@@LayonthePedal it's a very quick subtle move he does with his head as he gets up he moves his head slightly to the left and the look he gives him. If you adjust the playback speed to 0.5x you might be able to notice it more. Or maybe I'm just crazy and it's nothing lol
I too, thought about that, and the respect Chadwick showed Denzel, when he addressed him as Mr. Washington, speaks of his upbringing, and endeared him to me, because I knew he had been raised right #GodBless ;0
“The daily battles won, the thousand territories gained, the many sacrifices you made on film sets during your career, the things you refused to compromise along the way... If I have never heard words spoken from the heart, they must sound like this. Words that can choke a man with humility are words like this... Kind and considerate words from one King’s mouth to another King’s soul. Words like these build universes, crush demons, and give angels wings. These words were needed. These words bring air to suffocating lungs.

Or when he was finishing up and his wife kept looking at him to see his reaction...he as was so focused on hearing what Chadwick had to say that he just glared with the proud that I father would have.
Chadwick will get many nominations just wait!!!
lol "Under-recognized actors," is a reach because people recognized Chadwick before Black Panther.
@@soapnorm They will.
I read somewhere that Chadwick Bozeman was grateful to be able to publicly thank and honor Denzel before he left us.
Such an amazing man gone too soon.
Chadwick is a gifted actor, did anyone see the James Brown biopic ? He was phenomenal in that movie.
It was amazing.
He was very good. The movie it’s self not so much. But he was spot on JB.
@@MrAdamloring1985 I wonder why the movie didn't get more accolade. He was impressive.
Excellent...
You can tell Chadwick’s speech touched Denzel’s soul. So powerful. 💜
Denzel don't have a soul
This always makes me so sad, but how beautiful that he was able to show him this kind of respect.
Looking back, he really does look like he’s sick here. The way he walks and his weight loss. It’s so sad yet so inspiring. He is simply truly amazing.
Even Wakanda sent their man for the great Denzel Washington
I like that one ten times over
No buddy Wakanda sent their KING to honour Denzel Washington
LOL
"An offering from a sage and a king is more than silver and gold; it is a seed of hope, a bud of faith.
There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington."
Powerful stuff. RIP Chadwick.
Seeing tears come into the eyes of Mr. Washington when Chadwick says there is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington. Can watch that moment a thousand times.
"In my culture, death is not the end." - King T'Challa
That little mannerism Mr Washington did at 2:27-2:28, after having also stood up, leads me to believe that he sees something in Mr Boseman that he doesn't see in the others. Time shall tell.
I’m not quite seeing the mannerism. Would you mind point that out to people that need glasses such as myself?
@@LayonthePedal it's a very quick subtle move he does with his head as he gets up he moves his head slightly to the left and the look he gives him. If you adjust the playback speed to 0.5x you might be able to notice it more. Or maybe I'm just crazy and it's nothing lol
Luis Espinosa thank you kind sir

Anthony L. Kelly absolutely Captivating words🙌🏾
AMEN!!! SO TRUE
Well said ❤️
What you wrote in essence, was just that. A Beautiful sum of words.
Very true an amazing speech. If you want to see passionate speeches id recommend watching some Denzel speeches there amazing both men EXTREMELY well spoken and so talented.
The most articulate, powerful speech from one extraordinary man to another. He will be incredibly missed.
Hello kanae, how are you doing today
I have to imagine Denzel was aware at this point of Chad’s disease. His face tells a thousand words and it’s really honestly heartbreaking.
The face of Denzel when Chadwick said " there is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington" is the same face I did when I heard about his death
I think Denzel knew what we didn't
Denzel is a pretty serious dude but can cut out and show out when he is comfy. You could see in his face that his moved. Even before Chadwick said there would be no black panther if not for Denzel he talked about the offering of a king and Denzel nodded like he just got a good “peace” of the word on Sunday. Or when he was finishing up and his wife kept looking at him to see his reaction...he as was so focused on hearing what Chadwick had to say that he just glared with the proud that I father would have.
It takes a king to recognize a king. Long live the Black Panther.
✊🏿CHADWICK FOREVER!🙅🏿
@@matthewcoreyvilla5674 I think he had some stalk in Chadwick success and to see the seed he (Denzel) had watered, was humbled by the blessing he extended, and see it come full circle, in Gods goal. Let him who has watered be watered.

Hi Yvonne, how are you doing
I can't stop crying. These are the stories that the media needs to highlight. Not black men harming each other. Much love and respect to both. So glad to see Denzel being honored👏
