    This is gold rather even precious than that. Freedom isn't going from suffering to relief. Its experiencing suffering, pain, relief, sadness, joy, anger, grief all without resistance/conflict. When all is lost surrender. Use your suffering to let go & surrendering.

    I’m so glad you shared this ! This has been my struggle. No thought, and just can’t shake off the awful feeling from the moment I wake up . Even by meditation, very difficult to observe and escape the emotional pain . Great question!

      Me too it’s horrible until about 20 minutes into the day. The doc says it’s sudden adrenaline rush on waking. Then after a cuppa I can be still, maybe listen to Sunny and get into a nice meditative space🤷🏻‍♀️❤

      Interesting about the adrenaline also I was told by a physician upon waking an increase in cortisol, which is the stress hormone.

      @ yes I heard that too as it must have a similar effect

      @ I also tend to feel that when asleep we are as close as we can be - or are to our Self - so on waking perhaps it feels we are suddenly thrown back into the pain of the human dream so hence the feelings of fear.

    Very nice discussion, I’ve noticed that even if I decide I won’t move for the rest of my life. My body would just be doing what it does, I have no control over it. I’m only witnessing it

    Thank you for speaking on this topic Sunny, as it is important!! This was more difficult for me to learn than it needed to be. Hahaha!! I would just like to know why I always receive confirmation after the fact 😅. Having to heal childhood or deep-rooted trauma is from a personal aspect. YOU are not that. There is nothing that needs to be healed. YOU are already whole and can never be wounded. ❤

    Amazing Sunny. This is very helpful. For me, the biggest take aways from this was when you said 1) “When I step into thinking and trying to find causes of patterns, I step into the realm of motive & making changes to feel better.”And this practice is about transcending even that.”
    2) During challenging times when inquiry seems difficult to practice, it’s okay to let go of using pointers and just go through the experience without any resistance to best of our ability. ❤

    but am i not “using” non dual awareness to checkout from the pain instead of investigating the issue? maybe the pain is what wants to use awareness to check out from itself

      What is there to “investigate?” Just allow, experience, and feel it. This is not checking out from it. This is actually learning to experience what is there. Then all we need to come to know on a mental level about it or how to proceed from there, reveals itself.
