Liked the video. Will be making a headstock handwheel for my lathe. An alternative to MS Direct is Grizzly. That's where I ordered G3173 to fit my Rockwell 1" X 8 TPI/LH. It's an adapter for their chucks. I like the rounded shoulders so no sharp points like on a nut. Plus you can use the forsner bit to drill snug hole for rounded shoulders and then there's lots of space for the epoxy to go.
What would be wrong with chucking up a 3/8" drill bit in the tail stock, like you did the Forstner bit at the beginning? No audio after you drilled the 3/8" hole in the center.
Hello Cap. no sound after 18 min. mark Oh how about the race last night or should i say 12:30am Tues. I live 20 miles from that Yankee driver LOL!!! Go Matt....... Thanks for all your sharing of tips in the woodturners catergory
Hi Cap'n----Have you ever used Arm & Hammer soda and thin set CA? I have used it to secure nuts in wood as you did in this video. Just put dry powder in voids and a drop on CA . Caution It gets HOT Sam
Hi Eddie. Thanks for the videos. They are awesome! I recently purchased a Oneway 2436. I bought the Oneway hand wheel hub but need some finished dimensions. Also: Does the handwheel need to be laminated or will a solid block of wood do? Oneway isn't much help as I can't find much info other than to keep the inside edge 1.5 inches from the head stock.. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Once again well done project! Audio? We don`t need no stinkin audio, after all you always say if ya want to know "watch". So... what did you say after minute marker 18:00? Hmmm?!

What happened to the audio after you drilled the 3/8" hole?

I see you using a handwheel to make a hand wheel in this video. How was the first ever handwheel created? :-)
Good video, but it loses it's sound at about 17:58. I like the idea of the handled drill bit.

Race? I fell asleep wile they were roasting marshmallows. Just when you think you've seen it all. I hope Montoya had insurance.
Sure to make one also
Nice
Same audio problem for me.
Keep looking at the camera. Makes it easier to read your lips. Your audio went to lunch and did not come back.
