Hello, I've seen a lot of people on Facebook getting upset at the young people who burnt down the house. Please don't be! These things are temporary. If you built a house, and left it, it would fall down. They have to be lived in to work and no one can live in them today. The fact that they 'used' it is actually more appropriate and that it resulted in the fire could almost be realistic!
Thanks for your video. Really cool. I took a walk here and you could really get an idea of how a community of people would have used this area with plentiful resources from river and sea. I kayaked up the coast also and found some interesting rocks that look and feel as though they must have been used as tools. Superb video and presentation!
How fascinating - I didn't know about this house and at first confused it with Howick Hall but was treated to a really interesting talk on this discovery. Thank you!
You are welcome! I know that many will think Howick house, but I'm glad to suprise! To anyone reading this comment go and have a look at the Auld Manor House Page! It's fantastic for Regency to Victorian life and history!

You are welcome!
Very interesting to see
The Shearer?
Good sound to be outside so close to the coast. Heard some wind but could hear you speaking more. Fascinating history!
Thank you! I've always tired to work on sound - thankfully now it's a lot better than it was when I started!

Thank you! I am really glad it led to someone out and exploring the area! Very glad you enjoyed it and thank you!

@@AlexIlesUK Thanks for the recommendation! :)
Enjoyed the video. What a shame those the kids burnt the reconstruction down :(
Just means that people will learn more next time they build it and can try alternative methods!
Howick pronounced hoyck by locals
Lovely part of the Northumberland coast. Not far from here are the remains of fossilised woodland
