Windham Lawrence Rotunda (May 23, 1987 - August 24, 2023) was an American professional wrestler. He was best known for his tenures in WWE under the ring name Bray Wyatt from 2009 to 2021, and then again from 2022 until his death in 2023.
Rotunda was a third-generation wrestler, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Blackjack Mulligan, his father Mike Rotunda, and his uncles Barry and Kendall Windham. His younger brother Taylor is also a wrestler under the ring name Bo Dallas. Alongside his brother, he held the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship twice while in WWE's then-developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). He wrestled under various ring names between 2008 and 2012 in FCW, and briefly wrestled on WWE's main roster from 2010 to 2011 as a member of The Nexus under the ring name Husky Harris.
After returning to WWE's developmental territory, which had been rebranded as NXT, Rotunda was repackaged as Bray Wyatt. Portrayed as the villainous leader of a bayou-dwelling cult called The Wyatt Family, he returned to the main roster alongside Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Erick Rowan in 2013. He subsequently became a one-time WWE Champion, two-time WWE Universal Champion, one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion (alongside Harper and brief Wyatt Family member Randy Orton under the Freebird Rule), and one-time Raw Tag Team Champion (with Matt Hardy).
After a hiatus from August 2018 to April 2019, Wyatt returned with a new split personality gimmick that saw him switch between two characters: Bray Wyatt, who was a Mr. Rogers-esque children's TV host, and The Fiend, which was a grotesque monster resembling an evil clown. He was released from WWE in July 2021, but returned at the 2022 Extreme Rules with a new character that claimed to be his "real-life" self while gradually reincorporating his previous personalities in addition to new ones. In what would become his only televised match during his return, he defeated LA Knight at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
On August 24, 2023, at the age of 36, Rotunda died of a heart attack while asleep at his home in Clermont, Florida. His death was announced by WWE's chief content officer Triple H, following a phone call he had received from Rotunda's father.[267] Rotunda had been dealing with an undisclosed illness since February, which was reportedly life-threatening. Just days before his death, reports were published stating that he was making progress in his recovery. Shortly after his death, it was revealed that the illness was COVID-19, which had exacerbated a pre-existing heart condition. He had been hospitalized for a heart issue one week before his death, and was advised to wear a defibrillator; however, he was not wearing the defibrillator at the time of his death, and police officers later found it in his car.
There is no grave for Bray Wyatt as he was cremated and his ashes are with friends and/or family. - บันเทิง

As a die hearted WWE fan I still can't believe he is gone. When I heard the passing of Wyatt I was in absolute shock and devastated. He was ill (covid) for three months. Bray was a horror icon and a legend in WWE. He will be truly missed by every WWE fan around the world. Rest In Peace to Windham Rotunda AKA Bray Wyatt 1987 - 2023. Hopefully one day he would be inducted to the WWE hall of fame which he deserves.
It wasn't covid. Nobody has "covid for 3 months". He had heart issues and doctor's recommended he get a defibrilator, which he refused. It was reported that covid worsened his heart issue, but let's be real.....everyone in that company was forced to get vaxxed so it's more likely that vaxx is what worsened his condition. Tho that would never be admitted because then people might actually be held accountable.
Miss this guy everyday. Was one of my favorite wrestlers. His Fiend/Firefly funhouse gimmick was arguably some of the best work of his career. RIP to an absolute legend. One of the greatest creative minds in pro wrestling history.

I was able to see him a few times live. He was an amazing wrestler. It's always sad when people pass on, especially when they're so young.
Bray Wyatt was a character that stood out. He was a reason that made you wanna see WWE actually live. You would look forward it. I have been a Wrestling fan since Wrestlemania 3. WWE lacks that kinda star power nowadays. It's rare that a famous person's death hits me hard. He was one of those kinda people. R.I.P. to Windam Rotunda and I hope his family continues to heal after his passing.

Gosh, he was so young and that's the saddest part. Sometimes they call it natural causes but when someone so young dies, to me it can never be natural. This reminds me of how my mom died. She saw her doctor that day at 3:00 p.m., came home and by 7:00 p.m., she suddenly died. When that happens it's so much harder on the family, I think. It's just such a shock to the system. Losing Bray Wyatt was such a shock. I saw the news while working on homework in my college dorm and couldn’t even get back to work for a while. He was one of my favorite wrestlers of the last decade. R.I.P. Bray

You are correct. He had seen his doctor earlier that day he passed away. So sad his children lost their father. He was supposed to get married to his fiancé, Jojo, in December 2023
Wrestling hasn’t been the same for me since his passing. He was my favorite and I always looked forward to seeing what he would bring next to his characters.
How much I already miss Windham Rotunda. I never thought he would gove a 5 star match. But he would give 5 star promos every single time to make sure everyone was as entertained as possible. He was one of those people who just got IT!

i was shocked about his death. I knew him NXT then he went WWE. Myself, my brother and grandma have been watching WWE since 2010. We are glad we got to see him wrestle through those years. RIP Bray Wratt
Comment before watching.... this one is gonna hit hard. I have watched wrestling nearly every day for 56 years... some losses hit harder than others....this one hit hard. I hadn't fully recovered from losing Jonathan Huber. Wrestling isn't fake, people.... scripted, yes, fake, never.

I don't think wrestling itself is tragic, but the after care was... the thing is, especially in the older days, wrestlers worked till their bodies were mush....then...left with nothing. I think more should have been and should be done for wrestlers after they retire.

What an absolute showman, he was such a joy, always so fun and exciting to watch. Bray was just next level and truly raised the bar at a time when the entire industry needed a wake up call. I still can't believe he's gone.

I can’t imagine finding my significant other in bed ( dead ) he passed two days after finding out my mom died from a heart attack so he holds a special place in my heart too . I couldn’t imagine finding my mom ( dead ) on her bed .. thank you for covering him Covid gave my mom heart complications

My brother died around two weeks after his second covid shot from a heart attack and he was 33. He had prior heart issues though that I guess were made worse somehow. I have had both doses and a booster and I am fine though so I guess you never know. Maybe Wyatt had prior heart issues prior to getting his vaccines. My doctor suggests that everyone without heart issues should get vaccinated but those with them shouldn't due to risk of death.
I mentioned that to my brother but he wanted to do his part like the rest of us to end Covid but I miss him. 33 is too young to die from a heart attack and he had a wife and two children aged 6 and 4. I've been helping them out financially but it's been rough and I was barely making it financially before this. I think that his wife has found a new boyfriend though who makes good money so he should be able to cover it.

I remember hearing about when Bray passed away I was shocked I knew he had health problems but was thinking he would survive sadly he didn't he was an incredible talent who had a great gimmick I loved his character the Fiend also his fun house segments were entertaining thanks Scott for sharing with us thanks Bray for the great memories Rest Easy
I stopped watching Wrestling years ago after the Attitude Era cause I just didn’t like any of the characters after that but then Bray Wyatt came along and that all changed. This guy was a once in a lifetime character his promos were genius and he was a legend even before his time was up. RIP Bray

I cried over 3 celebrities' death. Bernie Mac, Nipsey Hussle, and Bray Wyatt. Bray was very creative and I was one of the people fighting for his comeback. Thanks to Triple H for bringing him back. And WWE been good every since.

I’ve been a WWE fan since 97 ( I’m 32) Bray wasn’t my favorite but his death was certainly a shock and you could see the impact he left behind even watching the tribute show the next day was crazy because we had also lost Wrestling legend Terry Funk so it was two tribute shows and I’ve seen so many of them in the past ( Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman etc) I just think about his poor family that lost a father and a husband

This was pretty shocking, especially since he appeared early in the year and seemed OK. Innovative mind for the business, which in the wrestling business, everything has already been done. Appreciate the upload and all the hard work you put into your channel.
Bray Wyatt was one of those kind of people who you would see get on the microphone and start to talk. And he would start out talking normal then with the flip of the switch in his head. He would start talking weird. And you had absolutely no idea what the hell he was saying or getting at. But it went so well and worked so well. It actually made you think Bray Wyatt was absolutely 100 percent crazy in real life.
Been waiting on you, thank you! I burst into tears when he passed.
