I’m 22 now and just got my first apartment, it’s a small cozy studio apartment but my new dream is to own a highrise condo that I can pass down to my daughter. Love you Jayla!!! I agree, the apartments you stayed in while in NY had some amazing windows and views. Right now, I love the apartment you are in. It looks and feels cozy and the furniture fit the apartment much better. Now we can appreciate the decoration and color scheme bcuz they are no longer drowned-out by all the windows and what we see in the background. You made a very wise decision in the move.

Some weren’t mistakes. They were intentional decisions with adverse reactions. But definitely on absolute purpose.

Yes! Sooooo much more insightful than some of the “school-girl-esq” outings with all the drinking and the like. Those things have a place, but after a while, it gets “old.” Jayla has so much more to offer. Her drive and passion to want to be the best she can be is infectious! Let’s hope she brings more of these types of videos to this platform! 😊

Renting is so expensive. Like it’s insane. Your apartment is really nice and looks so cozy. I am hoping to own a townhome / home soon as well.
Get ready to pay girl lol I was definitely naive when i bought my house a year ago.! The annual taxes, HOA fees, required maintenance, lawn care, things add up with a quickness lol My advice, save as much as you can and take a honest look at your budget. Your savings should have an additional 4-6 months money saved ABOVE your down payment and closing cost to cover incidental’s.

I loved your old unit because of all the windows but your new one feels more like home! The curtains, the view, the privacy, etc. I can't believe it was $2700 & $3400. I'm in NYC so I thought you were paying at most $6000. Regardless your move was smart finiacially and it wasn't a downgrade at all! I love this for you! I love windows too. I think living in regular nyc apartments and dorms, you know how limited light and views can be so windows ARE A MUST for me.
No matter where you move I love all of your apartments even the very first one that you had in New York City every time you move the apartments kept getting better and better 💯🏆🙏🏽

Your money was not wasted, you live how you wanted to live at the time. As we grow and mature our priorities change and so we act accordingly. It's your money and you spend it how you see fit! I love your place! And I am right there with you on the windows!! I need lots of light and windows.
Please don’t have regrets ❤ The world tells us that we should do things in a certain order and that we should do this and we shouldn’t do that. I’m 41 years old and I will tell you… LIVE Jayla. Do what makes you happy. This is you one life and girl you are doing it. I’m happy you’ve gotten the chance to experience the things you have. Most can’t say that they can or have. As you get older, like you said, priorities change and you will see yourself spend less. Things aren’t as important as they once were. I did the same thing. I’m happy and living my best life. Yass for the prioritization and growth. My husband said the phrase "lifestyle creep" recently and that has stuck with me. Spending more bc you are making more and not growing your money and creating weath. You're on the right track lady. Getting what you want but not overdoing it. It's still a beautiful place and you are setting yourself up for your permanent investment.

I live in NYC still, and NYC IS EXPENSIVE!!! the less expensive homes are further out. Jayla, I think you made the best choice, although I wish you had stayed, I'm so happy for you. Life is about living and learning; you must go through some things to figure it out.
Plus, being a content creator on top of it is hard! I know!

I am with you about the floor to ceiling windows! When you consider the maintenance and all that comes with owning a house (owning a house is like raising a child...a lot of time, money and TLC are required to maintain it). Unless you are prepared to spend $1-3 million in most markets, you are probably won't be able to do a new construction house as your first purchase. I am not sure if that is true in Atlanta because not too long ago people were buying new McMansions for several hundred thousand. Would you consider a townhouse? Less house to have to maintain. If you do settle on a fixer-uper, get the Property Bros to do it because they once did a renovation for a woman in Atlanta (or a nearby suburb) and they made her house so glam and fabulous---to her specifications.
