Looking good brother. Happy to see you making vids again. You were the first reviewer I ever watched when I started collecting. Masterpieces everywhere. Congrats on everything.
BMR Productions Hey thanks good to hear from you. I'm enjoying doing these unedited videos, it's just quick and easy. The old vids used to take me ages to edit and it just got very tedious to do them.
Still some good deals to be had, I've just picked up. 1)Berserker life size bust 2)Iron Man war machine life size bust 3)The new T800 life size bust with torso. 4) Hollywood collectibles Aliens power loader. 5) Predator legendary scale bust 6) Han in carbonite 1/6 7)probe droid 1/6 8) Dc Direct original Batman life size belt. All for £1700 from one collector, most like the power loader are still new in the box.
What kills me more than even the high prices is the import tax for these figures from the US, it just becomes ridiculous to first pay the price and then 50-100 euros in shipping plus a 25% value tax.
Always a pleasure Kev. It's the natural, healthy i'd say, evolution in any passion in life. U start low n wisely only to push ur financial boundaries recklessly for the greater love. I also started with McFarlane and then the real kick was when i saw ur endoskull video back in the day. The rules of the market r differend now. There r more elite companies out there, no monopolies and even the same company can overlap the same product. Don't look on Ebay. The social media marketplaces have set the correct prices.
Great channel, great topic(s) a pleasure..and some fantastic pieces i like how you are not bragging about what your collection is worth which is what we see all too often, and i understand as a collector myself, to be excited in the value our collections have accumulated however its always good to see info given about pieces and prices for new people entering the collecting scene to have a better understanding of what their getting into and hat it should be a hobby of passion first and foremost.
I posted here 11 months ago :). I now have a massive collection. You're right you do get more comfortable spending lol. Just yesterday bought that Warrior Alien that you have and HCG Pulse Rifle and Power loader. I have a lot of Prime 1 still on the way and XM stuff as well. I can't wait to make a video when it's all set up :).
Great informative video, and I know the feeling with collecting. Most things I have got from new I’ve not regretted due to the resell value on them afterwards. Even if I did want to get rid of them, I would get my money back. Always better to buy when new from my experience. Displaying and space is the main issue when you get so hooked! I need to buy more IKEA Detolfs and shelving! I love how you have yours on display all nice and simple. Those cabinets look better quality than the IKEA ones too. :)
ShanieTX Hi Shanie, all my cabinets are from Selquin although it's been a few years now since I bought one. I would have liked one for my ECC Hulk but they only go to 600mm deep and The hulk base is 800mm...its a dilemma for sure but collectors always find a way lol.
RobotOnLine Yeah, for statues it can be a pain to find one that fits, especially when they’re all such different sizes. 😵 But those ones you have sure look nice!
Just a great video all round. While I don't have a collection room I do value displaying some/most of my collection in a detolf. It is a real art lighting them and making display bases like you do. Do you plan on getting any Jurassic stuff from Chronicle Collectibles?
What a pleasant surprise. Like many others I'm sure, you were my favourite reviewer in the early part of my collecting history. So good to see you still enjoy your collection. I agree wholeheartedly with your opinion of the Hulk maquette. A hugely underated statue, and dare I say it, Sideshow's best Hulk. How I lusted after your Speeder. I've never, in six years, seen one for sale. I reckon the biggest price gain in your collection would be the Weta District 9 assault rifle. They also never come up for sale. Thank you for posting, it brightened up my day to see you again.
Colin Morgan Hi Colin, Yeah I have always been puzzled by the Hulks poor resale value, you can sometimes pick it up for less than it's original sale price! Maybe it's just a slow burner and will gain interest in the future. Cheers Colin.
I was searching for Sideshow Collectibles X-23 Exclusive for over a year, and seriously started to save 200 per month by June 2020, till my initial purchase of her at 800, this August/September 2020. Good times or bad times, I stuck to my choice, despite having so many great options out there because at 800, I could of gotten a Berserk Guts, a First 4 Figures Link Exclusive or even a Age Of Ultron Hulkbuster. I think you can buy, what you want, as long as you prepare for it. If it's a impulse buy, then that's when the guilty feelings come in. Do the research, and make sure, you buy, what you will keep.
I started with Alien and Predator 1/4 scale which I still have. Then T800 1:1 skull but sold that years ago was low on cash. Plus didn't have the room. Now that I have a house I've been collecting more. Just got my Alien King and waiting on the Queen. The two other big one's I have are Apocalypse ex and Darkseid ex. I have a Neca queen, Warrior and Big chap and Gyspsy Danger. I honestly like the Neca stuff. Also have the Jungle hunter and City hunter coming. Oh I forgot I have a premium Keaton Batman too. It costs a lot of money no doubt. The way I see it is I have this life to live and I want what makes me happy. And collecting makes me happy. :).
I was surprised by the detail on the Neca stuff. It's still decent enough to look at and with some of the light up features it sells it for me :). I do understand the bigger stuff is higher quality of course. I remember when the classic Predator 1:1 from sideshow was maybe $1000 canadian if that. I should of bought it then but just didn't have the room. It's probably 4 times the cost now or more. The joys of collecting :).
it cost way too much now..the price of the average premium format is over double of what we used to pay..the biggest reason I stopped collecting was the high cost..
barrie out have to consider politics and taxes. Plus more importantly, inflation and the value of the currency. A shit Burger King job pays 9 bucks for the biggest fool that doesn't ask for a rate in Texas, the place where employees get nothing, zero regulations don't exist and taxes are bare minimum. I make more than I would have doing the same job back then. You have to think it through. Sideshow has lost it's mind though in recent years with some pieces. What do you think of the price for the wonder woman? I think that price is superb for what marvel they made....but then there's bane which is stupid expensive and douchy of them
I remember getting the INdy ROTL PF from Play.com but it was the mocha skinned version, so I sent it back & asked for a replacement but they said they were all sold out :o(. If I had known, I wouldn't have sent it back. But it all turned out good as I got the ToD PF which is the best Indy PF IMO Back then I always ordered from sideshow as I thought & still believe it was cheaper, when the exchange rate was good & customs were low. Plus I'm a sucker for exclusives (the big baby EX on the Helly II PF is awesome!)
Stiffkittens I used to order direct too and you always had good back up if things go wrong. It's harder now the exchange rate has gone down the pan, everything has got a whole lot more expensive!
I want a few that have come out recently but it's enjoying all the great peice are 1/3 scale like the new dark knight returns with rifle and cybrog superman coming out soon which is just to big. So decided on 1/6 like the Superman premium from Sideshow where he is holding brainic, I like a set which means getting Wonder woman which is good but the Batman is only OK especially after seeing the new Prime 1 Dark Knight Returns statue. So awesome. Also the new Doomsday. I want a good Optimus Prime but I try to avoid movie representations of character as feel they don't age well. Like I got the MoS figure from hot toys. I want a Batflick armoured Batman for ages but after seeing what's out and announced in 2018 I'm glad I didn't.
It almost seems like your extremely nervous speaking about you own collection. I've always said, collect what you want, don't throw money at these collectables thinking your going to sell them off again on any 2cd market because there is a very small amount of people that are able to afford it anyway. This kinda collection becomes an obsession for some & can lead down a very dark path & this should be fun not a chore. Having said all of that, you have a wonderful collection & would love if you feature some of them in future vids. ✌
Manuel Ramos Hi Manuel, I have a stammer and it probably makes me look as though I am a little nervous but really I'm fine lol. Thanks for your feedback
A very dark hole indeed, my collection is massive now and I don’t even have the room for everything. I can’t even look at new release stuff from sideshow, last year I spent about $6,000 on statues. Trust me I’m not rich by any stretch but I got addicted. Love my collection but it starts to get extreme.
Nice collection man! I also like big expensive pieces and have a small room . I agree don’t have to spend a lot of money for a statue or bust.. Have DOTM Optimus as well ! Thanks for the video!
Great to see you back. I didn't see nothing wrong with the camera tracking. :o) It's ridiculous these days how much Sideshow pieces cost, to the extent that I have stopped purchasing them due to the customs charges & shipping. I only get them if they are exclusives (will be getting Stormtrooper han 1/6 in a week or 2) To think that the biker scout & speederbike PF, the same item in 1/6 scale costs the same! There were the odd PF's that were unexpected sleepers such as Darth Talon which I have & of course the original Patient Zero PF (I have Undying Carcass & Templar's Verdict
Hello Kevin mate great video. In relation to the dilemma with the eec hulk on wooden display and you want to fix that contact immortal case displays they are based in the UK and make custom sized display cabinets to any size and can deliver to your front door personally mate and install. RobotOnLine just wanna say you got me into collecting and putting out videos have a few on my channel now, not comfortable showing myself yet as it might conflict with my job but great to see you back
Wolverine Scratch I here that a lot that I got people into this hobby and it was the same for me - I just used to watch other collectors. Can't show your face? You're a secret agent right lol?
RobotOnLine haha nah mate I'm a private nurse and lost my job a few years back for streaming I do occasionally post selfies on Twitter but my employers have a strict policy on there workers there's nothing I can do
Very interesting video and a great collection you have. I have a reasonable collection but it is a very expensive hobby and the problem is, i have a few very expensive hobbies!
MrDazzbo Yeah it's a balancing act trying to keep up with multiple hobbies. I'm into my tech/gadgets as well as this stuff and it can be hard to choose sometimes.
Great channel.I see years ago you Terminator skull from Sideshow.I buy it and iam very happy.Do you know how much it is worth today?I cant find it on ebay or amazon.Sorry for my English, iam from Germany.I Subscribe finally:).Greetings and nice you are back.
GeneralAMSEL79 Hi, the Endoskull has not really changed much in value, well not the combat version I have. If you have the clean polished version the can sell above €500. Kevin
Phil Jones It's basically a wide diameter metal bearing, similar to a lazy Susan but without the casing - just the metal bearing. You can pick them up on eBay which is where I got mine from.
you're doing the worst thing possible, comparing to Ebayprices... better look at actually sold auctions, alot of these pieces go lower than those prices you said. Nice collection tho

Glad to see you back mate. You was the one guy out of many that got me into collecting. Love your honest reviews and collection!
KainSwiss Very kind of you to say, cheers
Still some good deals to be had, I've just picked up.
1)Berserker life size bust
2)Iron Man war machine life size bust
3)The new T800 life size bust with torso.
4) Hollywood collectibles Aliens power loader.
5) Predator legendary scale bust
6) Han in carbonite 1/6
7)probe droid 1/6
8) Dc Direct original Batman life size belt.
All for £1700 from one collector, most like the power loader are still new in the box.
That has to be the deal of the century, well done!
What kills me more than even the high prices is the import tax for these figures from the US, it just becomes ridiculous to first pay the price and then 50-100 euros in shipping plus a 25% value tax.
StyrbjornStarke Very true and cost is one of the reasons I don't collect that much anymore.
@Poda Poramboku Varies depending on what you are selling. I recently sold my Indiana Jones PF for £640 and I only paid £169 when new.
@Poda Poramboku minimum 50% and as much as 300%
Great Collection to have. Thank you for your video. Keep up the great work you do.
Gary GW Walters Thank you Gary
There he is the man who started me off and made a big hole in my bank balance. Good to see a vid from you again and a good topic of choice
CHRISBLU007 Hi Chris, hope you're doing ok mate.
Great to see you again your reviews helped me build my collection since your Arnie review many years ago keep them up!
Marcel Peralta The Arnold review is certainly going back a while, about 9 years ago I think! Cheers :)

Renz It's always been a hobby of passion for me, spawned by the love of movies.
Thank you for your kind words.
I remember your videos a long time ago. Loved your collection and it helped spurn on my addiction for collecting!
Mark Buchs Yeah I think I originally started doing these videos back in 2006-2007, long time ago! Cheers.
Room looks great mate! Glad to see you back. My collection has grown as well. I'll check out your other videos.
bobafettfan32 It's knowing when to stop is the trick lol. Cheers

You have some lovely pieces, congratulations man!👏👏♥️
Neal Salmon thank you Neal
Great trip down memory lane. Absolutely agree that the glass showcase cabinets really show off the collectables perfectly.
TheBronzeFly The cabinets have served me well, I only wish that the first units I bought had lighting like my later cabinets. Cheers mate

Awesome collection and a long overdue review. It was a pleasure seeing your collection in the flesh and meeting an old skool reviewer.
northernmunkey1 How's it going mate? Yeah I just had an edge to put a video out today, or be it a pretty low-res one lol
RobotOnLine good thanks out of interest what gimbal are you using?
northernmunkey1 its the DJI Osmo
Great to see you back - love your content. Great topic for discussion too
JurassicCollectables Cheers mate, I hope to get back on track with more videos.
Just a great video all round. While I don't have a collection room I do value displaying some/most of my collection in a detolf. It is a real art lighting them and making display bases like you do. Do you plan on getting any Jurassic stuff from Chronicle Collectibles?
Another great topic would be: the stress of collecting.
These types of videos would relate to so many people, all your view on flippers etc

Well presented and AWESOME collection!! I'd put a 4k oled TV and a lazy boy in that room and never leave it LOL. That jack Goodman is a gem.
Yog Sothoth Might be a bit tight for a TV it's smaller than it looks lol
Good to see you back!!
erick it's good to be back, I hope to do more
Wow! Beautiful collection! You and I have a few of the same pieces. Where did you get the 1:1 scale District 9 rifle? Damned excellent prop!!
Cliff132NJ I picked up the D9 rifle direct from Weta, it wasn't an expensive piece at the time but I know it is quite sort after now. Cheers
Great video mate! Would love to see your opinions and reviews on your newer pieces!
I'll try lol

You find statues cheaper in groups and forums, considering inflation most statues even lost value...
Kollex999999 Yes that's very true and it depends on where you purchase from.
Hello Kevin
I love watching your reviews. I might start collecting special toys too. 😉
Dali Kanth These special 'toys' can cost a fair bit. Maybe check out ebay.
RobotOnLine thank you -will have a look.
Where did you purchase that 7ft tall robot that follows you around the room tracking your movements? ; )
EvtheNev The wonders of technology 😎

Garry Paul Speed You guys heading to the NEC in March?
Sad to see Sideshow Prices tank in recent years...Prime1 is my Go to now
CannoliCrusaderTV Trends change but I'm sure Sideshow will come back in vogue at some stage.
I believe the majority of Prime 1 pieces can be bought under retail these days lol

Jøsh haha yeah bloody messages, next time I will put it in airplane mode
Really cool collection!!
Kraito Krombongus Thank you, I try to keep it clean and simple.
Do you have anything on pre-order at the moment? The amount of statues (and companies) that are out now is just insanity.
danfrisco No nothing on order at the moment I'm running out of space
Great channel.I see years ago you Terminator skull from Sideshow.I buy it and iam very happy.Do you know how much it is worth today?I cant find it on ebay or amazon.Sorry for my English, iam from Germany.I Subscribe finally:).Greetings and nice you are back.
GeneralAMSEL79 Hi, the Endoskull has not really changed much in value, well not the combat version I have. If you have the clean polished version the can sell above €500. Kevin
What are you using to spin this statues like you did with Optimus?
Phil Jones It's basically a wide diameter metal bearing, similar to a lazy Susan but without the casing - just the metal bearing. You can pick them up on eBay which is where I got mine from.
RobotOnLine thanks for the discription but still have not got a clue lol

Great to see you back again! Do you have any social media at all, would love to be able to interact on another platform? Thanks!
Your exchange rate was driving long before the UK decided to leave the EU.
Nice collection
stoned466 Thank you 😊
you're doing the worst thing possible, comparing to Ebayprices... better look at actually sold auctions, alot of these pieces go lower than those prices you said. Nice collection tho
Steven Tijpels Yes that's true and I do sometimes check actual sold items. It's also about timing, which movies are in invogue etc.
You know you have alot of cool stuff but that room just looks so boring.
ShadowManV3 You're right it's quite clinical in it's setup, I agree.
RobotOnLine so cool posters or somthing would make it alot cooler lol
