I know right? I found myself reciting lines of dialogue from memory in the build-up to that part. Sure, the subtitles were there, but these lines were imprinted on me as a child. I even recited them when I reached certain moments in the second level ("I WANT MY MONEY BAAACK!").
After beating the first chapter... This is honestly a truly solid remaster of what is ultimately my childhood Star Wars game. The modern control scheme works like a charm, the graphics still look timeless, and overall, this version of Bounty Hunter plays out like the game you think you played back in 2002, and then some. And as a Prequel Convert whose favourite entry in the saga is Attack of the Clones (deal with it), the story, characters and lore still holds up as a solid prologue and companion piece to that film, fleshing out Clones' secondary villain Jango Fett with style and extremely quotable dialogue. This is yet another reason why 2024 is a good year for Star Wars (GOOD, not "great", the one-two punch of the Battlefront Collection and The Acolyte are massive drawbacks this year), and I'll happily continue through Jango's mission to apprehend Komari Vosa on my Xbox Series X. £15 British pounds well spent.
4:21 On the PS2 version, instead of cycling through using the circle button to get to the scanner, you could just press up on the d-pad to jump to it and then press down on the d-pad to return to whatever weapon/tool you previously had selected. Instant switching between scanner and blasters. You can even see it on the Legacy control scheme at the time stamp
Yeah, I honestly just used Legacy cuz that's what I'm used to. I don't play a ton of modern games anyways, cuz a lot of modern games just suck ass. All flash and no substance. That's why the Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor games took me by surprise; they have issues, but they're solid. Regarding the flashlight, there are absolutely still dark areas in the game. I used it A LOT on Kohlma to navigate corridors; otherwise the Gora just pop out of the darkness.
I am SO glad to hear about the fixes to the controls and camera. Replaying the ps2 port a while back, those two things drove me crazy. I’ll be picking this up at some point.
My parents got me this game as a kid, I loved it so much, but I never finished it because all of the bando gora enemies in the final chapter terrified me I remember replaying up to that point over and over and over again. Replaying my favorite missions like the first and third coruscant missions, the prison break, Longo Two-Gun is chefs kiss. And now I finally get to go back and finish this game. This game is up there with republic commando and the revenge of the sith games for me

Dude Lucas Arts was cooking with these SW games in the 2000s… I’m grateful that they’re being preserved like this, even if they’re not perfect remasters. Cool that it sounds like its good. I am still going to look at other reviews too because I hate to say I am very skeptical of Aspyr. It wasn't just the Battlefront Collection like a lot fo people think. A lot of games used X and Sqaure to fire back then my young youtuber friend lol
Any physical copies?
Bought it to play on my Series X... It hard crashed to the dashboard while loading the third mission. 🤦 I just don't understand how remasters like this can still be released in a state like that.
Is there a physical version of this new version w/ the better controls?
I dig your mashin boo chaine
My only disappointment with the game is that they didn’t include a save game system and it still runs on the old check point system
Please tell me they changed the shooting controls. Using RB instead of RT is insane!
I remember you could just hold square. Does memory serve me right?
Roz’s voice lines during gameplay are missing for me on ps5
Is there some legal reasons why KOTOR 1&2 aren't on the ps store?
No idea, you could still pick up kotor 1 and 2 on the xbox 360 store until the shutdown this week so I dunno
Aren't you meant to be an Xbox guy?.. This gets a release on the Xbox for the first time ever and you play the PS version?
I didn't know this existed.
Is this the version that's on ps plus?
No, that's just a upscaled port of the original PS2 version. This is a remastered version with better controls and various tweaks.
I bought it star wars getting alot of my money this month lol
did they get rid of that 5 life system?
Hope it gets a physical release wanna buy it for my son to enjoy as I did as a 6th grader.
