I've used the Jazz'N 'semi-permanent" color on relaxed and on my loose natural hair for over 20 years. My hair is a natural dull off-black color with zero shine. If you are looking for shine, try the color in Ebony. It will give you more of a natural coal black color with awesome shine. It does rinse out of hair after about 4 to 6 washes though. Very much a temporary color and unlike permanent dye, it doesn't dry out the hair. p.s. your hair looks great.

Thanks. I really feel like it worked and I love the shine, just not the slippage from not braiding and banding! My hair is fine, so the gloss added some weight. I’m going to try it again once my hair recovers and just braid and band the entire time.

Thank you. Looks great! I found your video as I’m thinking abt using the same clear rinse. I used to use on my relaxed hair. Not sure why I didn’t think to use on my loose natural n now locs. We have same color n fineness. And my hair is not as dense as it used to be. Are you still using? I notice you didn’t wash hair after applying. I used to shampoo it again afterwards back in day but maybe I don’t have to

I called Clairol lol. Said they’ve changed the directions since I used to use it. No need to shampoo afterwards….just rinse as you did

I really may need to do this. My hair is like an ashy dark brown. Can you do an update on your thoughts of this product after some time?
Thank you!! Love the content. New subbie here.

I was going to ask you about slippage since you didn't braid and band for the 2nd rinse. Looks good!

Yes. I have some slippage, Strangely it was on the right side behind my ear, not really the back nape area where it usually happens.
