Only things I would do different. 1. Warm up the bike first. It stirs up all the sediment much better than doing it cold. Also it drops your viscosity and the higher velocity of the fluid also helps remove sediment better. If you do this, your sight glass will not be so yellow. Also your oil will look cleaner much longer in the sight glass. Warming it up also makes sure some oil is up at the cams when you start it with the new oil. SO that dry start will not be as destructive.. 2. I would prefill the oil filter with oil. usually if you fill it once to the brim all that oil will be absorbed into the filter. You can then fill it about half way and it wont spill when you try to install it. Prefilling the filter cuts that dry run time in half. That was a great touch putting a block under the front wheel to get the level correct. so I learned something too Great video.

You can get the oil filter plenty tight by hand. Wear some rubberized grippy gloves and reach through the opening in the fairing from the front to get a good handle on it. I was able to get it pretty tight that way.

Outstanding video. Well done. The last step would be to start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. That will fill up the oil filter with oil and take the level down just a bit. Turn the motorcycle off and leave it parked for a few minutes .Then recheck the oil level after the motorcycle has set for a Few minutes add more oil if necessary. Great video

Piece of wood, good idea, completely level. But the Fram oil filter is showing bad judgement. 😊

Hi is it necessary to level the front end? If so how tall is that block you made? Thanks

1-1/4" tall. I just used it to fit the drain pan under the bike
