Hon has some of the coolest heroes, ravenor, bombardier, maliken, solstice, also some of the skins and announcers like the Samuel Jackson , and taunts, i still remember droping the garbage cam after killing someone, It give me memories...

The witch slayer, man. He was so cool, like much cooler than lame lion we have rn. Who needs spikes coming from the earth? Summon fucking graveyard from below. You can put that finger of death in your ass, the chad slayer has a musket with a silver bullet, what a badass hero design
@@strateg4play ahh the most common witch slayer build are blink+stun+ulti/codex(dagon) but the great item in HON are the fast boot(forgot the name) that lose it speed when attacked like tranquil boot but better
Back in the beginning of HON servers, you need to click rapidly for 500 times to join room to play the game. There was just few servers in the world and hundreds of players waiting for slot to be open :D
Oh god the nostalgia! I remember being super proud of a 10 win streak when nobody knew how to play drunken master. Good times, the kill streak default announcer is still the most hype of all the dota like games

Hey guys is this game from the same developer? Why does MK exist in this game? I'm confused. Did dota 2 steal these heroes? I know google exists, but i don't feel like researching this stuff.
@@bereal8253 OG dota is DoTA 1 from WC4(its a mod game). League, HoN and DOTA 2 are all based on DoTA 1.
@@bereal8253 There's a Monkey King hero/champion/god in dota, lol, hon, and smite. They all play very differently.
@@bereal8253 HoN was created as a successor to dota, so they have a lot of the same heroes, mechanics etc. But then dota 2 came a long and then HoN died

Played Dota 1 for years and Dota 2 since 2012 but the most fun i ever had in a game like this, was HON in its early stages (Before they started implementing their own heroes)
This game had amazing sound effects and it was so much faster compared to dota 2. I also loved all the little details like for example when you turn blue when you use phase boots and stuff like that
Yea for sure and when you use BKB (shrunken head) your entire body glows golden, but in dota 2 you get some dumb yellow light floating around you
Almost every HoN original character is better and more fun than those ported from dota. Game become only better after useless ice frog left

I really really wish puppet master and bombardier were in dota 2. Puppet usually made for really long games because he was an insanely good anti carry killer (as seen even in this clip of him 3 shotting gorg even thru bkb with puppets ulti). Bomb was terrifying with attaching bomb to himself and blinking in. Engineer too was one of the best supports in hon that unfortunately didn't make it to dota 2. Also wish harkons blade was in dota 2 too but not sure of the consequences of that item given the heroes in dota 2.
I play hon still and have for going on 12 years now, it is my number one favourite moba.

I always wish hon somehow make agreement with valve and they ported their heroes to dota. It fits well with the lore about earthshaker's arcana.
Valve doesn't need that yet but somehow I agree with you they should collaborate and import some of the heroes from HON.
Imagine, Solstice, Ravenor or nomad in Dota 2,especially nomad.. that guy has frickin counter ultimate

This game has so many cool concepts it pains me that it's left to rot in pseudo oblivion. I also wish DotA gets the rights so they can port those heroes into DotA2.
Hon still has a playerbase. I am starting to play it more than dota now.

My HoN experience was me playing two games in the second of which I meet this dude from Brazil that happened to have a couple of Dota 2 invites, so I quit HoN OMEGALUL
I remember me and my friends used to taunt people and that was the reason we usually missed our kill. Hahahah

what i miss in HON and wish dota 2 have it
- original hero idea like MK/ bramble mechanic
- very fast turn rate and attacking response (when playing dota felt like everything has lag)
- fking great taunt mechanic
I wish Valve just buys the HoN heroes. Need Gunblade, Ravenor, Shadowblade, Gemini in Dota.
Dota would be broken. Left those hero aside, lets say Scout or deadwood coming to dota2 himself.

i have played a lot of Dota, League and HoN and without a doubt HoN looks and feels the smoothest while the others look and feel super odd? its hard to explain but sound effects and animations and just how ''unfiltered'' the game is makes it so great! Sad to see it shutting down in June next year :(

Fuck, I'll even miss the toxic HoN community. There's something refreshingly honest about yelling at a teamate to fuck off when they try to go to the lane you called and not getting b& for doing so. HoN truly never changed from early 2010s internet culture and I'm glad it never did.

Man I used to love this game before Dota 2 came out but yeah it aged so bad looking back now. Really miss all the cool and unique heroes like Gemini, Flux, Cthulhuphant, etc.
Also can you imagine a game nowadays having GENOCIDE written on the screen and said in a cool and badass way when you kill the whole enemy team, lmao.
HoN MK is one of the most fun to watch hero with his combos.
