- Watch Tina Landau, Bartlett Sher, Michael Arden, Casey Nicholaw, and David Cromer discuss their work, the misconceptions around what a director of a musical does, and what they hope audiences glean from their Broadway productions.
Once on this island deserves the tony for best direction.
Thank you.
Moritz Stiefel I started throwing popcorn at my tv screen while yelling when he didn’t win
I absolutely agree but when you run into a sweep like A CHORUS LINE had in ''76 (Sondheim's best score, PACIFIC OVERTURES, lost that year), it happens. Arden WILL win sooner or later. He's that good.
YES THANK YOU
Thank you for doing this, Ruthie! This is the most amazing and inspiring theatre talk one can ever ask for!
Michael Arden 😍😭👌
So amazing... thank u for this
The moderator keeps interrupting, it's so annoying.
After seeing this My Fair Lady I won't be seeing anything directed by Bartlett Sher again. Thank God I am old enough to have seen what the original collaborators intended.
Richard Mayora What do you mean? I haven't seen either, I've obviously heard of the differences, so I'm just curious.
