That is the most elegant wood storage I’ve ever seen. Love the leather. Love. It. Only thing to make it better would be to paint the inside of the doors but I’m fussy like that. Well done!!
Thank you
You have become a real craftsman, you clearly have amazing carpentry/joinery skills, great job!
Love the leather, the teak oil, and the handles. Please keep Baby Brown safe and fix the unit to the wall. 🇦🇺🎸⚡️🤘🏿🤘🏼💋❤️
Looks great. Are you going to attach it to the wall? I know it’s pretty heavy but toddlers know no boundaries and like to climb!
thats what i was thinking couple l brackets at the top behind the door would do the job.
Absolutely, if there’s a chance of danger a toddler will find it 😅
I agree. Especially I think the floor is carpeted.
Thanks. Baby Brown is not even crawling yet so we have plenty of time to sort that
You think!😅
Love it! One suggestion would be to anchor it to the wall, so baby Brown doesn't accidently pull it.
Looks great Keith! Please anchor it to the wall!😊
Lol you're the only creator I watch even when the project isn't something I need. Nice build and the ideas to make it look like quality furniture were a great touch
Hey, Keith. I love everything about this cabinet. IMO, it's far too beautiful to be a wood storage cabinet, but it's attractive and extremely creative. I'm sure that it will garner a nonending stream of compliments. BTW, the leather is a stroke of genius!
Thanks for the video. Your work is always a breath of fresh air.
I think it looks outstanding! It fits right in, and the black leather is great. The stove is black so they compliment each other... "Good morning stove, you look marvelous!" "Why thank you shelf, you are looking most excellent in your leather accented doors!" They "compliment" each other, get it? 🤣
Haha! Thank you
It's fine, personally I would have made an angled cabinet but it's functional and quirky.
Can I offer you a tip for cleaning up glue squeeze out, of which you seem to get alot? Get a box of plastic drinking straws, they will last you a lifetime. Take a straw and slice the end at 45°, you can then slide the pointed tip in the corner of your joint and as you slide it along the excess glue disappears up the straw, simply keep a cloth in your had and periodically squeeze ths straw between your fingers a couple of inches from the end and slide your fingers to the tip, excess glue ends up in cloth or shop towel you are holding over the end. Just keep using the cut end to clean up more squeeze out. If you empty it at the end of your clean up it will last along time. When it gets too manky just cut off the last inch or two and go again. I do this every day and must have cleaned up miles of joints in my life using this method. Try it, works like a charm.
I love how resourceful you are with stuff you have already. It perfectly compliments the sponsor's new stuff you can get your hands on. Lovely project! Applying varnish to that leg stand must have been a *chef's kiss* moment!
Thanks so much!!
The workshop improvements you made certainly seem to help you be more efficient. Nice little project as well. The cats seem to be comfortable as well.
Thanks 👍
A collection of really nice ideas for turning what could have been 'ordinary' - into a piece of furniture!
Love how you turn what looks like tired and random wood scrap into lovely new functional furniture, inspires me to see more deeply into the potential from salvaged materials. 10:58 Excuse me? They'll all be copying Mickie's elegant dismount in Paris this summer! Alright, a little work needed on the recovery at the end... 9.6
This is a great video to promote this special MDT. I hope the vendor appreciates it. You showed benefits of this type of wood very well. Good job, Keith!!
Thanks very much
The leather came out great, good idea. I'm sure I won't be the only one to mention it, but bolt that thing to the wall before Baby Brown learns to climb. 👍
The leather panel looked good. Great build. Possibly think about fixing it to your wall with your kid staying to crawl and walk.
The faux leather turned out to be a great idea! Very creative! Like a few others have mentioned, I would consider anchoring the unit to the wall, since Baby Brown could try to climb onto it at some point while no one is looking.
the leather looks great to me. I love they style
I did not expect the leather to look this nice
Looks pretty nice. I wonder if the cats will get attracted to the leather for scratching - hopefully not. Nice to see them again.
As others said: I also would attach it to the wall to prevent tipping over a toddler.
A very smart way to store your wood.
This video is peak Keith. Loved every minute
Thank you very much!
Looks great Keith, 👍 leather seems to compliment the black on the stove as well. 😊
Thanks mate, not sure if I like it or not tbh!
Very nice. I do like the leather on the doors.
That is a very smart piece of furniture, I think the leather adds a touch of luxury to the piece without looking 1970's Nice work!
The design really came together nicely. Certainly from what I could see in the video, your leather panel inserts look good on the cabinet, and the cabinet as a whole looks really good in the space.
Attractive and productive. In summary, brilliant.
Thank you
The cabinet was pretty good too
really liked the leather inset Keith. Great addition.
I love your unique designs and the leather is a lovely touch.
Also love your adorable cats making their cameos! 💙💙
Thank you! 😊
Really beautiful work, Keith! 😃
The cats seem to have loved it, so thumbs up from me!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks buddy
It's nice to have somewhere to store the "best wood" for when visitors are over... and then burn crap from the shed on other days :) I could do with something just like that.
looks GOOD, and very efficient use of old materials 👍
Love how your skills have developed over time. The cabinet is beautiful!
The leather panel doors are great! Not something you see everyday but I'd love it in my home!
It looks great. But I'll add my vote to securing it to the wall.😊
Love the leather keep up the good work
Great project Keith, The idea of highlighting works excellently. The amber selves go well with the firewood and the black panels tie the unit in with the burner itself. Lots of matching to the wall colour keeps it light and not intrusive in the overall room. All boxes ticked!
Impressive. The leather certainly adds something.
Love that, and the craftsmanship was awesome. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you very much!
Love it! So many small touches and it all comes together beautifully. I’m going to be that person right now, though. I would seriously consider attaching the cabinet to the wall. I know it’s heavy but my kids managed to pull a heavy dresser down on themselves while trying to climb it. Thankfully they were unharmed (and I probably looked like the Incredible Hulk pulling it up off them) but it was scary as shit and no other parent wants to feel that fear. We call them earthquake straps here in California but I’m sure your local hardware store has something similar.
Thanks Trish. He's not even crawling yet but I will sort it 👍
Very nice project. I like how it is looks. And I like the leather idea.
Thank you
I think the leather works well. It gives it a nice appearance 👍🏻
Brilliant build! Well done. The leather accented doors look great!
It’s looks pretty nice with the leather doors, well done!
Great result Keith, that's certainly more interesting than a simple painted box, so you hit the brief.I particularly like the slatted shelves, you did well in selecting enough pieces that matched and they look beautiful with just the Tung oil finish, once again you have shown that using second hand materials is not only good for the planet but results in a superior product that you probably wouldn't justify buying otherwise ! Half way through I'm thinking "but what about the other shelf, I'm sure there were three". I'm on the fence with the leather finish I neither dislike or particularly think it adds to the piece, although the contrast works, I hope the cats don't scratch the lower panel. Micky's descent was epic !
Thank you very much
Nice build Keith. I think I'd have painted the inside of the doors too but it still looks good.
As others have said, it will be worth fixing it to the wall just in case. My daughter had a freestanding wardrobe tip onto her once. Fortunately the room.was narrow at that point so it hit the opposite wall first
Ever since then I have been fixing every tall cabinet to the wall :)
Love it Kieth lounge ceiling looks great 😊
Thanks so much
Really like it, including the leather. Your cats are so sweet. 🙂
It's a one-of-a-kind design, and honestly.... I kinda like it! I think the leather panels look awesome Keith, good call on that one!
With a little one in the house I would fix the new cabinet to the wall. A little one will try and climb up the cabinet. All the best
The leather was a great idea. the cabinet looks so cool. How to turn a useless space into something nice to look at and functional too.
Love this kind of project! You did a fantastic job and it looks great 👍🏼
That's one classy cabinet! Nicely done all around. And great to see the kitties, too!
Love your work. Very creative.
Great build, I like the black leather as well! Only thing I would do extra would be to paint the inside of the bottom doors (which perhaps you might have done later). Thanks for the great projects each week, one of my favourite channels to watch!
Love the toothbrush cleanup idea!
I'm sure Mrs Brown didn't mind Keith borrowing it ! 🤣
😂
I liked it, leather and all 💚
I really like the leather panels. Love the way you recycle old furniture into beautiful new pieces.
Great video well done. I didn't think I would like the leather by it works
Excellent & very creative and yes the leather looks great.
Whole unit looks great. Love the leather.
When you first said about the leather I wasn’t sure, but I think it looks great. Especially when in place against the other black things in the room like the log burner.
Thank you
I like the cabinet; it definitely doesn’t look as though you bought it from that Swedish supplier! And yay! Mickey and Hazel strutting their stuff. Brilliant video all round.
Looks great, also suggest attaching it to the wall. Kids climb
Looks fab great addition
I love it Keith, and the leather idea looks very neat and unusual, well done!
Most Definitely Fascinating!!!
Great watch as always Keith !
Definitely unique! Looks great. The leather textile added to the doors is a nice unique touch. Nobody will mistake this for standard ikea stuff.
Very cool, and definitely NOT boring!. I like the leather panels and how you incorporated the recycled lumber, as well as the overall design. It fits very well into its designated space. Cheers!!
Thank you very much!
Nice Job. The pleather looks cool.
Looks great Kieth. Very much your style. If you get sick of the leather maybe glue in the panel some strips of wood for a grill type effect.
Also, I agree with the screwing it to the wall. With some holes in the back panel of the top cabinet some wall brackets could be very well hidden
Looks really good 👍
An excellent and unique piece of furniture
I like the cabinet and the additional features. I had a pine kitchen cabinet that sat in a similar position, behind a door, but it was based on a triangle, so it fitted into the corner and used the space more efficiently.
Great cabinet and it matches perfectly!
That’s really neat!!!!!
Looks great, wasn't sure about the leather, but it works well with the overall decor of the room. 👍🏻
Thank you! 😊
Looks good, fits well with the room.
Interesting, well done.
An excellent video as always. Lots of useful hints and tips. Keep up the great work.
Never been a fan of cats but i love your 2, so much character 😂
I love them, especially with chips.
Brilliant like the leather idea too . The tapered legs look good too
Looks good. Nice solution to the problem.
Looks fantastic 👌
Good job.
I like it a lot. Very fun build
Looks great great job
I love it ❤
Nice one Keith.
That's dead smart, really like the leather. I'd have painted the inside of the doors though.
Thanks Gareth
Looks great
I do like the leather, it's interesting to do interesting things.
I love the leather, it fits in with the stove !
That looks incredible
You are amazing 😊
that looks awesome
I think this looks great when will you be making matching products. Really professional job and the leather makes it look like a true piece of furniture.
Thank you
Big fan of the leather !
