A great tip I got from Mathias Wandel was to apply the candle wax to the runners, then apply some heat with heat gun. And then a bit more candle wax on top, without applying any heat. This makes the drawer run even more smoother. Congratulations on having your first child🎉
Cannot wait to see what else you make, I think you should build a toy box for the nursery and baby brown to keep his / her teddies in, I’ve got to build one in coming days for my sister
Great piece of furniture, and I like the sneaky project announcement at the end there; that's going to be a work in progress for 18 years at least, I reckon! All the best to you and Rhea
I enjoy watching vidoes of the masters displaying woodworking skills which I can only dream of acquiring. I get as much pleasure, possibly more, from watching someone create something which I could also create. The mistakes warn us of pitfalls, the enthusiasm encourages us to see a project to the end and the logic of the project choices applies to most peoples homes. As a fellow native of Norfolk I must repeat what I saw on a medical chart in Kings Lynn Hospital, NFN, Normal for Norfolk. Congratulations on the forthcoming birth.
Great project Keith! it really turned out nice :) Congratulations to you and your wife on the new addition to your family :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP
This is a beautiful, elegant piece of furniture for this special moment in your family's history. Thanks for sharing your designs and problem solving skills.
Fantastic recycling/upcycling. Only thing I would add is a small strip of thick felt or foam at the top of the back to avoid marring the wall in the event of the unit being rocked back against the wall.
Lovely job Keith, and another great example of recycling and re-using showing that it can result in a quality piece of furniture. Also well done for remembering where you'd left the drawers ! Nice colour too, perhaps you should consider changing your name from Brown to Green ? 😜 Congratulations to both you and Ria (I hope I chose correct spelling) and best wishes for the safe arrival of Baby Brown !
This project turned out great! I always appreciate your videos because they show the real side of woodworking, mistakes and solutions. Congratulations on your new baby!
Nice job Keith, the problem with the varnish was the use of the wrong roller. Still, spraying allways gives the best results. Congrats on the family expantion. 👍
Really nice piece of furniature! I love upcycling. Most of my projects are made from old oak furniature I pick up on Freecycle, dissassemble & re-invent, so this has giben me some ideas of how to combine that with MDF. Funny you mention spindle sanders. Lidl is selling them this Sunday for £160. I've been deliberating whether I really need one or not. Probably will as that's not a bad price, even if I only use it occasionally. It does have a belt too, which I can see getting good use. Just a heads up for anyone who may have been thinking about getting one :)
congratulations. I haven't been on TH-cam for a while and didn't know that you had a baby on the way. It must be so rewarding to make such a project with that in mind,
That is a huge transformation. Very good vision you have, Keith. I was not thinking I would like the green paint, but it really goes well on the finished product with the dark wood, and the legs are a nice touch. Oh yeah, best wishes for your family!
Congratulations! Very cool piece of furniture! I love it when scraps, recycled materials and absolutely pieces of wood with holes in them are used to make new things. We need more of that in todays society!
Nice piece of furniture,so glad you not only leave your mistakes in,but you highlight them as well, making me realise its OK to "muck" up. Keep up the good work and I look forward to watching the next video.
Top job constantly working around problems is really gratifying when you finally beat the thing into submission. Well worth the effort that’s a fine piece you have made.
Tip from an old Chippie in my local, store your cans of paint upside down the the skin that forms will be on the bottom, not sure if works but worth a try.
Congrats! Also fwiw, I bought a spindle/bobbin sander last year on a whim, and I use it now on almost every project, it is incredibly useful and a very definite timesaver, you won't regret getting one.
Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. It's great if chaotic fun. Now, you have about a year before everything needs to be kept 4ft from toddler height.
That turned out really nice. I really like the color combination and the legs. By the way that first mistake with the drawer spacing is imho a "lucky mistake". In my experience drawers with wooden runners really benefit from sliders like the ones you made. They can also be replaced. Cheers.
It’s a beautiful piece. I make mistakes in everything I do and I have been doing it for over 50 years. You made a great lives. My favorite pieces are ones I made as my grandkids arrived.
I love it it’s very unique 💚🤎💚 And Congratulations 🎉 to you and your Wife on the news of the baby 💛💛💛 May everything go smoothly on the birth of your baby 🙏🏻💛💛
a lovely piece and congrats on the new arrival :) might be worth attaching the back of that cabinet to the wall as it looks a bit tippy with a draw extended - little people love to pull on things!
LOL, half way through I thought you were definately spoiling your cats. What were you even going to put in there... then. Congrats. That's just brilliant.
It’s lovely! And your heart is going to burst the first time you hear your kid say “my dad made that”! 😊
A great tip I got from Mathias Wandel was to apply the candle wax to the runners, then apply some heat with heat gun. And then a bit more candle wax on top, without applying any heat. This makes the drawer run even more smoother.
Congratulations on having your first child🎉
Quite beautiful. It has been a pleasure watching your skillset improve over the years.
Congrats to Mrs and Mr Rag'nBone Brown on their colab project!
Nice cabinet, Keith, love the color scheme!
Cannot wait to see what else you make, I think you should build a toy box for the nursery and baby brown to keep his / her teddies in, I’ve got to build one in coming days for my sister
Beautiful project. Congratulations for the baby Brown expected arrival.
Nice project. Happy for you. Enjoy fatherhood. The days are long, but the years are short. Take time to enjoy it.
Congratulations to you and your wife. Great project for Baby Brown.
Being a dad is by far the best job in the world. Congratulations. Also great work of the drawers. Simple yet so effective.
This build became touching when you explained for whom it was!! So sweet
Great piece of furniture, and I like the sneaky project announcement at the end there; that's going to be a work in progress for 18 years at least, I reckon! All the best to you and Rhea
Great news on 'Baby Brown" my friend. Congrats to you both. Love the build, to. Excellent stuff, as always.

You always seem to come good from your mistakes mate. I really like this piece. Great job. Best to you and mum. Must be both exciting and terrifying!
One can see the influences that contributed to the piece.
Leg curves were absolutely inspired by @BischBaschBosch !

The green color is amazing. The legs make this look vintage
What a brilliant idea to use those drawers to make that great piece! Congrats on your baby.
Great work! Congrats and remember to be patient and to give even more love to Ms Brown! You don't want her to feel ignored on account of the baby.
Fantastic recycling/upcycling. Only thing I would add is a small strip of thick felt or foam at the top of the back to avoid marring the wall in the event of the unit being rocked back against the wall.
Congratulations on Baby Brown👶🏼 That little chest turned out really sharp👍🏼

Congrats. Kids are the best, they’ll test you to your limits but you’d never change it.
Nice job Keith, the problem with the varnish was the use of the wrong roller. Still, spraying allways gives the best results. Congrats on the family expantion. 👍
Congrats! I'd anchor them drawers to the wall while you can! 😂

Absolutely superb . . . my initial guess was that it was going to be a changing station for baby Brown!
Congrats Keith, it's a really amazing feeling to be able to build furniture for your baby👶 best of luck and enjoy the baby bubble🥰

Really enjoyed watching that and what a great ending. Looking forward to many Baby Brown projects.
Lovely classic look.

That's a really nice piece, a mix of old and new. Maybe a same color leatherette on top may give it a bit more wear resistance?
Perfect project, wish you the best with your baby ❤
