The monitor is foldable

With 2 video input: White video cable connects to car rearview camera, yellow one to othervideo equipment.
Parking rearview priority: The monitor will start up automatically, and synchronously display the video from rearview camera when you're backing your car; the monitor will close itself after backing. Scenes will cut to rearview camera automatically while you're backing the car and change back to the original scenes after that.

You could downsize the 3 hours of soldering and include... Where the leads go, a few seconds on a visual on the camera
how did you connect it ,so that the screen always gets 12v (lighter socket), but it stays off until you shift to reverse and then there is an image?

I would want a foldable screen like this one (with wireless waterproof/night vision cameras) but with a DVR option to record the video to an SD Card.. something like this exist?
What power source did you use for your test?
I have tried to hook up to multiple 12v power sources with no luck.
Do these screens have built in speakers? Thinking about using one for a handheld NES i'm building but would rather not have to install a separate speaker :L

Can i solder it to parking light ?
Bought this screen from eBay and fitted it to my car. After a month the spring loaded mechanism failed and the screen is now stuck in the closed position. The design isn't suitably sturdy to be flipped up and closed each time you use reverse gear.

As long as your original multifunction display has an RCA Video Output on the rear, then yes - you connect an RCA cable from your multifunction display to the RCA input of the new monitor.

you know these videos are really hard understand I mean you showing a little bit here but I don't like when people do not talk during the video especially when trying to help people build something or trying to show a way that something should be done and I don't think it's appropriate I mean I think it's really stupid because you're not talking but you're showing us but you have to watch a video like several times you get the gist of what you're doing and you know you should be talking instead of having the damn music play which is kind of annoying
