Tip to viewers: always sort your bricks after shape, not color. This will make it easier to find the brick you need because it’s much easier to see a yellow plate (example) in a pile of multicolored bricks than in a pile of bricks with the same color

Fun, just bought 40 lbs, but first step I did was separated out printed, stickered, brown, and window, and then washed EVERYTHING, and dried, now to get sorting.
As someone who spends hours sorting lego all the time, this was incredibly entertaining

I really like your surprise dispensers.
My favorite is Ziploc brand bags for now. From snack up to 2 gallon.
I also found an adjustable sifting sorter at Brickworld Chicago 2023. Well worth the $50.
Sorting lego is a hard long task yet alone 100 lbs is insane Ryley needs 80k likes for his hard work
Im sorting out literally all my lego at the moment. I figured out that if that box he was holding is 100lbs, im probably sorting like 2000lbs XD

can't believe u sorted all those lego bricks because I would probably give up after the first hour!
I have learn one thing about sorting. When it comes to sorting the small pieces I use a pair of steel tweezers 5 inches long it has saved me a lot of time and trouble, I had to learn on my own. Good luck to all fellow lego builders..

Hi I resently started watching you and I love your videos thanks for the amazing content
I once spent an entire year sorting out about 150lbs of LEGO, every day I would scoop out a big bucket of pieces and sort it and it took forever but in the end, it was sorted and we split it in half and gave it to kids that didn't have the money for lego but enjoyed playing with them so much
They probably unsorted them shortly after lol just cuz there's no way not too

Deffinitly a good short way to 80k likes, 11k after 3 months is surely a good sign
It took me almost 1,000 hours to fully sort my collection. (3 55Gal drums)
Sorted by color and size. If some colors were "off", I'd check the part numbers.
Then, if I had the manuals, I found every piece for the sets and noted which pieces were missing. Just in case I decided to sell them.
Sorting my collection, I found some "old" LEGO bricks. These has a different texture (a different plastic I guess) and the wheel axles we're metal.
I even found some 1-off pieces, like a lone "353 Vibrant Coral (RGB 249, 108, 98)" 1x2 and a metal C3PO Minifigure. (iirc, the minifig was from a surprise bag that came with the LEGO mailer magazine)
The hard thing was differentiating between some Technic pieces and Kinex

I kinda did this yesterday to my legos but I sorted them into 4 categories: plates/tiles, bricks, wheels/axles, and minifigures/unfinished builds.

Tips:
1. use pneumatics to push the sorted blocks
2. use color sensors to detect the block

i did more or less but i straight sorted by color and now i have to sort by piece but i only have a couple of hours daily due to my work and i have been doing the sorting for like weeks
Now take out each drawer wash them and put them back, that sorting table was filthy.
