As a "Tracked Vehicle Expert" (TVE) I can point out some mistakes
    1. The shock absorbers(grey) can't support the weight so you could replace them with yellow ones because they are a lot more stiff .
    2. You need to put more support wishbones . The middle of the tracks were just empty , if you don't know what i'm talking about , look up "tanks" and look how many support wishbones they have on one track .
    3. To get more torque , you could replace the motors with stronger ones . If you don't have stronger ones , just put more motors there (1 PF xl motor = 2 PF m motor) . If you can't do ANY of these , just make a bigger gear reduction , like 6:1 etc
Note:I'm not a hater , I just want to help you on other MOC's and I love your videos no matter what mistakes you make . Keep up the good stuff ;)

    • @daltonwaters2540
      @daltonwaters2540 2 ปีที่แล้ว

well looking at the video, it looks like he just ran out of power because 10 motors draw a lot for power from one power brick. I guess he didn't know this but you can buy a Lego extension wire to connect another power brick in parallel.

The main broblem: Usually adding more motors increases torque, but in this case you put way too many motors compared to the number of battery boxes. 3 battery boxes can't feed 12 l motors and because of this, the motors only get limited power. This model could have run easily using 3 battery boxes and 4 l motors with a little gear reduction.

i see atleast 3 ways that this could've been better
    1) more support wheels on tracks (helps with weight distribution)
    2) add atleast 1 wheel on top that actually tensions the tracks (spring should be compressed almost always)
    3) a gear reduction on the turret, so turning is more accurate

Reading all the comments I see that they are all missing the mechanics of tank tracks you have the control down really well but the fact that the tracks are coming off is due to that you have no track runners (aka the wheels in the middle of the track) they help keep the track on the drive line but they also do a lot more (aka stability, suspension and more). also another point modern tanks are only driven by the rear spokes for simplicity were as yours is driven by front and back which adds complexity and streess when its not needed. last thing i thought you could stack the output wires of the battery to get a better life/output.

Its Lego bro and not a real tank with one engine and a transmission. The motor and transmission sit in the back so the drive sprocket is in the back too. In a Lego tank with multiple motors it's actually simpler to put them in the back and front. It also decrases stress.

Hey bro! Quick tip, if you use multiple IR sensors hooked up to multiple battery boxes and put them all on the same channel (channel being the 1-4 option on your controller) you can control all the motors and have them hooked up to different battery boxes while still all being controlled by one remote. Hopefully that helps for future projects and if you aren’t quite sure what I mean I’m happy to clarify more. Great video though!

  • @theelitepostor3632

I thought of a way to use 2 battery boxes on one receiver. If u take 2 pf extension cables and attach one to each battery box and u take the other ends of the cables and connect the together and add the receiver connection on top of them and theoretically it should use power from the 2 battery boxes

Use more sprung wheels at the bottom, tanks have dozens of wheels stacked in a specific pattern to support the track and weight of the vehicle. With only 4 sprung wheels (2 on each side) they're not keeping the track tight and the body supported.

You know that IR receivers limit output current a lot, right? I doubt the 4 motors connected to one port give you the power you expect. An old crawler "V2" IR receiver is known to provide more current (it's also very rare). Also, battery box can be replaced with LiIon box for higher current.

daaaaaaaang, if i had this guy's creativity, i would be over the moon..............aaaaaaaaaand, i have a challenge for ya
if you could try and make a lego motor, WITHOUT using an actual lego motor, idk what i would do in return, but it would
    be so cool ngl!
no literally, you wasted your time coming here
    but great video!

To get more power you could just have 2 receivers and one controller just make sure they are on the same channel

Nice video but I would build it a little bit different. I would put more wheels on it and build every ting a little bit smaller with a lower built height so it turns better.

You should make that into a lego set just fixed so it can go on all terrain

A better challenge would be to build the batmobile with a deployable batcycle
