To me, Martinsville never gets boring. The cars are always close to each other. You don't have to wait long for a turn. It's almost anyone's game there.
It seems NASCAR did something right for a change with the new aero package for Martinsville. This race reminded me of the old Martinsville which is great!
This race wasn’t bad, it was a solid average NASCAR race but it wasn’t a average martinsville race. Not here to talk about package right now. However, what I would wish Fox would do is change the leaderboard back to the top. I’d use the space with the current leaderboard with 10 slots. The first 5 will be the top 5 and their lap times, and the bottom 5 with the fastest cars not in the top 5. That would help with the direction and the broadcast won’t have so many pauses. It allows the viewers to follow multiple cars and the video production would have better camera direction. If the booth want a breather, just do crank it up at least once a race. I would like less hood onboards and include a over the driver’s shoulder camera along with the new helmet cam. Use hood view for replays mainly along and the rear camera for chasing down the leader live. They have telemetry on here which is fantastic, use it more for onboards and even if we’re not at a road course, use the pedal cam. Who knows, sponsors looking for tv time can be creative with that compartment and not need as many commercials in the near future. “Chase Elliott pedal to the metal brought to you by NAPA”, just an idea to make sponsors happy. Last thing is to change up the camera angle for the finish, in general they’ve had new camera angles that have been good and some they could re-add. The 2000’s really made the finishes different from one another and that would make the finishes that much more unique. I don’t want to see the same camera angle for the fall Richmond race as we got the spring race, especially if Larson won again.
I greatly appreciate the upload of the entire race as I missed a good part of it. But why the delay in time, and as you're watching- No one is announcing anything, you hear open air. Usually, at Martinsville, these Announcers are talking smack. The race coverage is good and I appreciate the post. It's just a bit irritating when you're watching the race and they're is NO SOUND! Is this due to a TH-cam privacy issue???. You can't hear the cars going around the track, it's al quite, then all of a sudden announcer speaks and you can hear the cars. So what in the world are you doing???? Are you aware that there is NO SOUND on alot of the race, as the cars go around, you hear like AIR SOUND??? Are you aware of this?. Thank you for sharing, but I had to ask, I'm use to hearing the announcers talking smack, and I might add- this is my hometown track.. I've driven on that track many times back in the day. I come from a family of Racing, And yes I'm a woman and I love it!!🎉🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗
Why is there NO ANNOUNCING OF THE RACE, ALL U HEAR IS AIR, AND NOT EVEN THE CARS RUNNING AROUND THE TRACK? This is a great video of the Race, but where is the sound? There are some announcements, but it goes silent- then they talk and a commercial comes on. Are you aware of this? That there is NOT sound thru out this recorded vidio????
There is commentary. The sections that are quiet is when the broadcast was on commercial break. No point in commenting because on TV nobody would hear it.
I used to look forward to Martinsville but the cookie cutter car has gave another boring short track race. Doesn’t matter how fast your car is or how good the driver is. It’s pure luck of cautions or guessing right. Another sad day for NASCAR.
I’m heading that way. I don’t bother to watch short tracks live anymore I’ll watch the days later mostly fast forwarding thru it. I do still watch the 1 1/2 mile and up races live. Yes is easy yo say “then leave” but when something you love is broken you hope it can be fixed. I’m hoping with crossed fingers.
