    Was hoping you'd get into the programming. I installed recirculation plumbing on a 5yr old unit and set to external/dip switch 2 up and it works when you open the menu and as long as the menu is open but soon as you back out it stops circulating. Seen in another video a guy had the actual instructions in his book how to set the parameters of how long you want it to circulate, but you only get a glimpse of his page . In his comments were people who said those instructions weren't in their book, as it's not in mine either. My customer wants it to circulate all the time and always be hot. Guess I will keep searching, thanks.

    I have a Navian 240a like you installed with external recirculation line. I am also using the intelligent mode as well. Over the last 6 months when the pump turns on to recirculate, I get a pipe tapping noise, like when air is in the line. Would you happen to know what may be causing this to occur. The system was installed by local gas utility company, and they used PEX including foam insulation. PEX is strapped down, nothing loose that I am able to see. Thanks in advance for your support.

    Great job, been watching your channel for a while now, great work. quick question i'm building a new construction home and had a npe-240a installed with a dedicated recirc. line. I have the valve to ext. recirc inside the unit and dip switch 2 flipped up for on. What causes the milky white water out of the hot water line, is that excessive air in it. They didnt install any type of hose sillcock on the recirc line at the unit like you did, how would i bleed the air from the lines if thats whats causing that milky white hot water. i have that bad on initial start up today. I know theres a small black bleeder on the bottom of the 240a that connects to the ricirc pump maybe i could use that. Many Thx.

    • @f.demascio1857

    I'm debating on having a Navien npe-240a2 installed is this a good unit for a 2800 sq ft 2 story house with 3 bathrooms? Does one need to run a condensing drain pipe? How often and expensive should they be serviced? Do these require flushing valves? Also looking at the Bosh Greentherm T 9900 SE 199NG. Which is better and going to last longer?

      It's generally a bad idea because you're using raw water constantly in the heating loop. Everything rots out and fails if you don't have really good incoming water.

    • @throttlebottle5906
      @throttlebottle5906 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      really not much sense in it, the recirc. pump is built into the unit and only runs when water flow is sensed to quickly get hot water through the loop and back.
      you wont really save diddly with the lines insulated, as compared to a standard tank water heater and recirc pump that runs for hours on end or 24/7

    Always, always, always insulate the return line and all accessible hot supply lines. That unit checks temp in the line and will recirculate to keep at temp so you want to limit the cycling of the unit.
