14:28 Its not actually ur own personal ship, the ship has many cryofroze helldivers in it. Every time you respawn you are actually a whole new helldiver ready to give his blood to oil the gears of democracy! :)
And now we form our own lore, and our own universe. The community has truly found a universe to exist in. As someone that looks for that over anything else, that's exciting.
Here's the thing. People can make fun of the whole 'Super Earth' thing. But every helldiver has command of a Super Destroyer. A Super Destroyer crewed with other humans, bearing tonnes of heavy ordnance, cutting edge weaponry (rail gun, laser cannon, sentry turrets). Super Earth is probably the only planet with a fleet capable of overseeing every planet in the galaxy.
I personally think the automatons are still cyborgs but fully Borge’s up, leaving nothing a brain controlling a metal suit. Why would the robots use almost exclusively humanoid soldiers when they could’ve chosen more efficient or easier produced forms? Why would their striders need pilots when they could’ve made a pilotless model? Why are berserkers a thing? I think the cyborgs are still fighting but have gone full Adam smasher in order to properly combat super earth’s forces.
I dont think the troopers we see in the HD2 intro cinematic are helldivers - no capes. The training level makea a big deal of you earning your cape, i figure its like jump wings/paratrooper boot blousing, and helldivers would have had their capes on, even during a safe patrol.
Something i find hilarious is We fight the Cyborgs because they're "socialists" And we fight the Terminids because they create oil Truly, Super Earth is the embodiment of democracy
I like to take the whole managed democracy thing at face value and all the bad parts of super earth being the AI desperately trying to interpret the Schizophrenic answers on the questionnaires and as the system goes it will just jump further and further of the rails as the population becomes more and more fanatic.
@Shugg-Goff-HHoffical maby i also think the robots where built by super earth to keep cyborg fever up and to fuel the military industrial complex and i think the bugs are just an accident due to poor farming regulations and a fundamental misunderstanding on what these animals are.

So having the vote be instead “what do you value” “do you think [POLICY] is a priority?” “What is more important to you, x or y?” And then casting your vote for the candidate that most closely resembles what you actually stand for vs “this guy is part of my party so therefore I’m voting to prevent other party from winning.” Is frankly better than what we have now… The problem is the system is obviously insanely corrupt and flawed and it could never work in real life
Great video! I try not to think about how horrible the human world is in the world of Helldivers now since learning about this! I don't feel as bad about dying in-game anymore!
One could make the case that this is how Warhammer 40k started its spiraling into total sh&t storm after humans left Earth all those thousands of years ago.

For real. Was playing on a dust planet recently against the Automatons during a dust storm. The lasers flying towards us through the dense dust looked like an even more hectic Geonosis scene from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Was awesome lol.
So I’ve got a theory on the automatons and its that they were made deliberately by the company Strahm (i think thats the one i saw it in game for like 30 seconds) because every time you boot up a robot planet terminal it hits you with that logo, my opinion is that strahm made the automatons as an enemy to fight familiar to the cyborgs but more over the top and then gave the robots the same Logo, I mean if the tyrmanid war only exists for oil the Automaton war may just be a plot to further demonize socialism and create extra profit off of war, its also possible this worked too well and now the automatons are a legitimate threat *This Post has been Flagged For heresy*
Also we’re supposedly getting walkers in the near future and the Jetpacks we use have the same mechanics and are just slightly safer than the ones the automatons use so maybe we were prototyping tech there as well

It’s a theory of mine that they have cloning technology. Each one of those Helldivers in the pods of your ship are just clones of your character who got through the tutorial in the beginning. Hence why the helmets never come off, it’ll break the illusion.
Galactic war for now. Intergalactic War will come once we bring Managed Democracy to the ENTIRE galaxy! then we can move to the next stage, the whole Universe! Glory to Super Earth!
I always got the impression that SEAF (Super Earth Armed Forces) was the general peacekeeping and policing body of SE and its people and the HellDivers are more like a special forces unit. Hence why you see abandoned SEAF Artillery sites and more during missions. It implies that at the beginning of the war SEAF was the frontline defence but incredibly overwhelmed and so SE sent in the Helldivers instead and due to the ever increasing size of the war have significantly ramped up recruitment of Helldivers to fight a battle its regular forces are not able to fight. Partly due to the threat itself but 100 years of democratic peace would surely put SEAF training/funding at a low priority. Just my thoughts though
They say that innocent civs are dying... Like how many people are deciding to move to a battlefield that riddled in corpses and has been invaded and reclaimed 7 times this week?

Happy to see you were able to squeeze a little bit of lore out of it! Like I said on twitter, there isn't much from the first game.
Based on what I've heard, the first game sounds kinda like Halo 1 in the sense that it was very simple but could be a good launch pad for better stories.
Love how every time something shows value to super earth they immediatly become enemies to be harvested or robbed 😂
Something something parallel with our world😂😂
Yeah...about that *Stares in American*
14:28 Its not actually ur own personal ship, the ship has many cryofroze helldivers in it. Every time you respawn you are actually a whole new helldiver ready to give his blood to oil the gears of democracy! :)
It's your own personal ship, it just wasn't originally and won't be for long.
I know this game has been really big lately so it's great to learn more about it from your channel! Well played.
First time for me learning about Helldiver lore from any channel ever. :)
Roman Empire seeing Super Earth doing pure defensive move yet expanding just in case "I raised that boy"
Something i find hilarious is
We fight the Cyborgs because they're "socialists"
And we fight the Terminids because they create oil
Truly, Super Earth is the embodiment of democracy
dont forget the illuminates being more powerful and potentially dangerous than us, so we have to shut them down first
I like to take the whole managed democracy thing at face value and all the bad parts of super earth being the AI desperately trying to interpret the Schizophrenic answers on the questionnaires and as the system goes it will just jump further and further of the rails as the population becomes more and more fanatic.
What if the Managed Democracy Super Computer judged humanity and orchastrated the new Galatic War to give them purpose and unity.
@Shugg-Goff-HHoffical maby i also think the robots where built by super earth to keep cyborg fever up and to fuel the military industrial complex and i think the bugs are just an accident due to poor farming regulations and a fundamental misunderstanding on what these animals are.
@@Shugg-Goff-HHoffical Bro... you just exploded my mind right now... i did not even think that there are no leaders... is just a society run by A.I LOL.
@@Shugg-Goff-HHoffical then that meant the cyborg socialists were orchestrated by the ai, making it a traitor to democracy.
and that third faction has pretty much been confirmed as coming eventually for helldivers 2
After all the cyberpunk lore vids you most definitely are my
Lore Master🔥
I love that this game is getting the love it deserves I hate that not many people played the first one
Answered all my questions, thanks for filling the gaps!
God the satire is so heavy handed with this game, I love it
Great video, really enjoyed it and thanks for the mini lore dump.
A small headcanon I have how Terminids have spread without FTL ships is that they use some kind of a super spore spewer like the Flood in Halo
That clip from The Great Dictator at the end… chef’s kiss. Awesome video!
I too love that helmet I keep seeing your hell diver is always wearing in the beginning of the video
Oh, damn! From Witcher, CP77, and now Helldivers 2. Hell yeah. I love these lore videos.
Hopefully this game actually stays alive unlike any new game nowadays
Idk lethal conpany and bg3 are alive and well, and elden ring is dong great too, even better in june when the dlc comes out
3:40 honestly I kinda respect this system conceptually. There’s nothing more idiotic then the average voter. So having the vote be instead “what do you value” “do you think [POLICY] is a priority?” “What is more important to you, x or y?” And then casting your vote for the candidate that most closely resembles what you actually stand for vs “this guy is part of my party so therefore I’m voting to prevent other party from winning.” Is frankly better than what we have now…
The problem is the system is obviously insanely corrupt and flawed and it could never work in real life
ENHANCE! I WANT TO KNOW MORE!
Rest in peace to all the warriors the creek has been lost 😢. We must keep the fight going.
Great video! I try not to think about how horrible the human world is in the world of Helldivers now since learning about this! I don't feel as bad about dying in-game anymore!
One could make the case that this is how Warhammer 40k started its spiraling into total sh&t storm after humans left Earth all those thousands of years ago.
bugs are space cows for oil... automatons are basicly socialists... the only L SUPER EARTH DID was the illuminates.
xD prove that the system is riged... if you prove that managed democracy does not lead for a better future for super earth xD i will say they are not just every democracy ever comiting crimes xD that is another take that is really good.
in a way they are a democracy and evil... hope we get more lore.
@@HighOnSciencethe sad thing was humanity was doing really well before they got betrayed by the men of iron. Their tech was so advanced that the Imperium of Man are still struggling to emulate their technology.
this is starship troopers reimagined and im all for it
Playing this game turns into a movie so naturally
Also we’re supposedly getting walkers in the near future and the Jetpacks we use have the same mechanics and are just slightly safer than the ones the automatons use so maybe we were prototyping tech there as well
I do really hope that helldiver's does a collab with deep rock galactic.
Nothing too weird.
Just a side piece of allowing us to play the dwarves as we are working for the federation.
Tha ks for the video
Apparently in HD1 There a message left by the cyborgs that said that all they wanted was freedom for them and their children the automatons & they will defend themselves if they need too.
Gosh the satire is so rich in this game, it actually strikes a balance between the left and right views.
how so? isn't it just making fun of right-wingers?
@@lordilluminati5836 its more a critique of authoritarian regimes in general. The jingoism of right dictatorships, and the propaganda of left dictatorships married under the guise of democracy and freedom.
"propaganda of left dictatorships married under the guise of democracy and freedom"
I'm pretty sure that's associated with certain north american nation more than anything...
@@lordilluminati5836really? It seems They're making the "right wingers" look cool asf, you sound like a cyborg
@@darthphantomius411 fascists think that games that satirize them are about how good they are and are surprised when its about how theyre bad so you may be one
This game is amazingly super-silly and a super-hoot. Gotta love super-democracy from Super Earth!
I love the animating and music gives that new Ratchet&clank vibe. Also it looks like American takeover of the galaxy, and fuck yeah I love it
Your telling me these giant bugs are just Tyranids with an M? Hell nahhhh
3 wars at the same time 2 started from super earth? Im starting to think super earth is the problem.
Wait… are we the baddies?
That sounds dangerously close to sedition, citizen! We are the forces of liberty and democracy, how could we be the bad guys?! Now ignore the skulls and crossbones on the uninforms of our beloved Helldivers and think government-approved thoughts.
Is there any skull on our uniform? Thats what I thought
@@titanime3830 fun fact, we have little skull icons on the soles of our boots, you can see them while prone. It's a neat little easter egg.
I love Democracy lol.
This is going to be Fire can you do The History of Mega City One or The History of The Halo Insurrection War please.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
Id like to second the proposed vid on MegaCity 1 !
Finally, a historian I don't need to report to my democracy officer
I enjoy my freedom with a refreshing cup of Yorkshire Liber-Tea Gold.

Looking forward to your next one!
i was so in love with the first game, me and my friend played it exclusively for like 5 months straight. the second one is so incredible and is what a sequel should be like/
11:27 I love how he calls them the "Helljumpers", dude has been playing too much Halo odst
I wouldnt have thought the lore to be so deep tbh. They should absolutely make a show or movie about this games lore to fill in the starship troopers void
This feels very cyberpunk
The Fall of Malevelon Creek.
As I stay proned getting bombarded by automaton rockets in Malevelon Creek, a constant question comes to mind.
"Are we the baddies?"
oh good i got reccomended you again, go cyberpunk vids, go democracy!
i predict they will add even a 4rth faction later on because of how the map is placed so far. looks like north and south are 2 different factions
Or just have 3 and when 2 factions touch you will get 3-way battles

Blows my mind that more people don’t think that the bugs and the bots aren’t created and or nurtured by the powers that be in order to preserve an enemy to maintain unity IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM
The capes are unironically the best part of the game.
Free subscription for the first lore video I got recommended! Thank you sir! For Liberty!
Just sipping my liberTEA while watching a banger on the history of DEMOCRACY
I'm thinking about rebelling against super-earth
Enjoy your court martial traitor
Me and 3 fellow helldiving freedom fighters dropped into a sucide mission level ICBM launch. It got bad. We lost all of our reserves and I found myself running through an open plain feild being chased by 4 stalkers 2 chargers a horde of hunters and no bullets. Resupply 2 mins out. Had one chance to call down the 380mm barrage.
Long story short it was the most cinematic intense gaming experience ive had in a while. The shockwaves from the 380mm while the bugs got blown to bits was great. Ended up extracting out too😅
A good bit of this is word for word from the wiki, but your presentation is well done regardless. Paraphrase and analyse your sources more and you'd be a fine youtuber.
Holy shit! A lore video longer than 8 minutes, you good sir are a Democratic Hero!
My eagles bring cluster-liberty! For democracy!
Just my thoughts though
i love this channel keep it up! :3
You know I’d love for there to one day to be a Family Guy/Krapopolis/Grimsburg/American Dad style animated comedy series on Helldivers.
I think some players discovered that the cyborgs were enlsaved by super earth (and rightly so) and eventually evolved into the automatons
For Managed Democracy!
I love getting to play a game where we’re undeniably the good guys.
They say that innocent civs are dying... Like how many people are deciding to move to a battlefield that riddled in corpses and has been invaded and reclaimed 7 times this week?
E-710 upside down is "OIL-3" and I don't know why that's so funny to me
This franchise is so unserious 😂😂😂😂
