5:23 a simple way to do this (from my knowledge in scratch) is to edit the background and put a line of a slightly different colour from the floor, make it so that it only can jump if its touching that colour. I haven’t tried this but if you’re willing to try it out you can

hey Zinnea, I want to know if making a catch game on scratch with bombs in it would ban me, my game has no violence it’s just that you need to avoid bombs and spikes, if I do something like that will it make me banned? @Zinnea
That is a good question, sadly with bombs the project might get taken down on Scratch (though I'm not 100% sure). Spikes would probably be no problem (I think I've seen a lot of platformers with spikes). If you want to make sure it doesnt get taken down, maybe theres some sprite that would work in place of the bombs (like round rocks, 10lb weights, flying fruit, etc) Let me know how it goes. The game sounds really cool
For some reason, my arrow keys aren't working, and I'm having trouble moving my character - when I press green flag it'll just stay right down the bottom underneath my ground sprite, and not even using 'go to x:____ y:____' does anything. Any ideas for what might be wrong and how to fix this? I've double checked several times and every block you've got is exactly the same as mine. Edit: AHHH! Never mind!!! I've fixed it. No clue how but oh well 😅😅
Hey can you try make a tutorial on how to make a bullet hell game (a game where you slowly level up and every time you get a level you can get a upgrade to be stronger so you level up easier)

I'm using a different sprite for the player falling, so the Y collision is saying that the player is falling while touching the ground
Finally a good collision tutorial.
Too many tutorials tell you what to do but not why or they explain it very poorly.
I'm not sure if you can do this but after this could you make a side scrolled Platformer Tutorial?

After i did the diefine number five let the player jump from the ground my thing did not jump
Note here, you don't need to have (-1 * (y speed)). You can just use (0 - (y speed)) as it has the same effect.
when i did the [change y by{10} ] it did the same thing but i moved to the right fast.

I drew the platforms as multiple costumes of 1 sprite using the rectangle tool in each costume :D
