I saw Whitey Morgan in a small venue in San Francisco back in 2014 and Cody Jinks opened for him. Now Whitey Morgan is opening for Cody Jinks. Whitey Morgan is awesome and everyone should check his music out if you have not done so yet.
I was able to see Cody in GJ Colorado in June. Small venue BIG show. I will spend $$$ to see this man anywhere I can. Such a special night!! #codyjinks
I'm not a musician, but I love music and I have a deep appreciation for the talent and dedication required to make great music. I love your videos, Michael, thanks for doing what you do!
Ok,,,,never in a million years did I think that this channel would be my 'go to' for finding new music to listen to.😅 I'll say it again, the theory stuff is still very much 'Chinese' to me, but Mike, I really, really, really enjoy your channel. Thnk u😊
Just saw him last week and it was absolutely epic. If you ever have the chance to see a live show do it! Fun fact Cody jinks was the lead guitarist in a thrash metal band before he did country
It looks like they are at Red Rocks in Colorado? That's a big crowd for somebody I never heard of.😅 Country music has been around a long time. It has a staying power that seems to outlast all the other trends in music.
Man I know it’s been years since you reacted to Dijon but the guy that was in the video with him, made an album and I think you’d love the way he’s playing on it.😊
Cody co-headline a tour with another artist Whitey Morgan that I got to be around when they were in their early days. They're both cut from the same cloth, and they're both great.
I have only been watching your videos for a couple of days but I’m hooked. I just keep waiting to see a Jeff Buckley. Hope you have one for him in your content somewhere down the line.
Hey everyone! You should check «Socrates drank the conium» songs mountain or killer. Very unique songs and band. I would describe them like progressive rock but still not sure if it’s totally correct. Many influences from the east but in more rock and heavy sound. It’s really worth to take a look.
What makes hits hits? What gets puffed becomes hits, real talent like Monte Montgomery is usually only known locally, sometimes they break-out with a cult following like Kelly Joe Phelps, but usually they don't they get HUGE unless "puffed".
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all The Beautiful Queens Metal band right now in the earth. They are really really World class musicians. Phenomenal. And they have a lot die hard fans too. The song is "Set the world on fire" Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
Hey Michael! It would be a treat to both you and your audience if you checked out Marcus King's new song called Hero. He has a live version that is just so beautiful to listen to, with some killer acoustic playing by Marcus. Beautiful chords for an intermediate guitar player like me to add to the tool belt. If you don't make a video on it, at least do your music soul a favor and give it a listen off camera. Thanks!

“David” by Cody Jinks is one of the best storytelling songs ever.
Amen to this!! Would love to see this reacted to!
Toss up between David and Dirt for my favorite Cody Jinks song. Cowboys and Hippies comes in close third
Another vote for how amazing David is as a song. I think my favorite is Fast Hand
YES!
Agreed 100%

Cody is great! Saw him in my small-town theater a few years back, he was at the bar down the street before the show hanging out with fans. Great guy
Right on!!

He is one of my favorite. So bluesy and down home to me and folks like me. Great reaction and lesson.

Pretty much the whole “adobe sessions” album by Cody jinks is gold if you want to get into him. David, Dirt, Me or You, Mamma’s Song are my go tos
Cody jinks is absolutely amazing enjoy
How about the emotion in the faces of the fans singing! Almost tears in their eyes. Good people, wanting to live their lives as best they can.
Great video. His new album is well worth a listen. My album of the month for sure!
He has a great voice and he's a good honest songwriter. Very rare.
Yup. Ima add this to the playlist. Thank you kindly
another fantastic artist and breakdown here. hell yeah. thank you!!!
I love Cody Jinks. He first saw him in Chicago when he opened for Eric Church. He has some pretty rocking songs and I’ve been a fan ever since
Cody Jinks is the original Texas Cody. He's been a HUGE artist for TXRD scene and has done it all independently without a major label support
Just saw him last week and it was absolutely epic. If you ever have the chance to see a live show do it!

Man I’ve tried to get you to cover him for like 5 years I’m glad you finally got to it.
Never thought I would see Cody Jinks on your show. Great music, loved the video.
Beautiful voice!
“Put up your bible, or let me get mine.” Such a sweet line that’s very relevant
Cody is easily one of my favorites.
Alone and Wounded Mind are GREAT SONGS
I’m not a big fan of country music but I do like his voice and his lyrics are deep!
Cody jinks is my favorite singer
Now its time for Ward Davis!
Been a Cody fan for years 👍🔥
“They keep showing this guy” lol
It looks like they are at Red Rocks in Colorado? That's a big crowd for somebody I never heard of.😅 Country music has been around a long time. It has a staying power that seems to outlast all the other trends in music.
It is Red Rocks. If I remember correctly this show was in 2019.

u gotta do "sober thing" or "take this bottle" both amazing lyrically
The little chromatic fill part reminded me of 'Light up Or Leave Me Alone' - Traffic
The new Cody Jinks album Change the Game is astoundingly Great...Dude is Jason Isbell level songwriter ..
My current song that I can not get enough of is "Oh Sarah": Sturgill Simpson on "Charlie Rose". Best version of that song and just amazing music.
He started out in a metal band then converted to country later. He can go Metal when he wants to
This is the song version of “Don’t tread on me”
Jinks!🤘
"That guy" was me!
I have only been watching your videos for a couple of days but I’m hooked. I just keep waiting to see a Jeff Buckley. Hope you have one for him in your content somewhere down the line.
Could you react to Warren Haynes playing Cortez the Killer with DMB, imo it’s the best solo and live performance done
You need to review the band Sleep Token!!
I recommend: Take me back to Eden
Or the song Alkaline

I feel like I could send this song to most of the people in my life😂
I don’t think they would get it though😢

@Guitargate Hi Michael, can you review John Mayer's unreleased song "Please Be You (Demo)"?
Please and Thank You!
He also has a rock band lol
Hi Michael like your videos, just like you to do a video on Patty loveless sorrowful Angels
I can almost smell the chew. Love Cody but that crowd is missing more than teeth.
